6th May 2024 (11 days ago)Initial impression was very good. We were led to believe the market was good and to give it a go at the higher end of the valuation. We were promised a premium marketing plan with professional photos and description which would justify the premium price valuation for the area. We agreed to wait 3 weeks to launch on Boxing Day being led to believe there would be several enquiries and viewing requests to hold an open house event in January. Despite having 3 weeks to prepare the marketing materials the standard was far below expectations. The photographs were poor the description omitted several of the unique selling features of our house . We were presented with the brochure the day before the deadline for the Boxing Day launch and requested several initial amendments to the description but we could not alter the photographs so I was forced to take some photos myself to be included. Following a subsequent complaint we were told that if we’re not satisfied with the marketing we were at liberty to suggest changes with no acknowledgement of the short timescale and the extremely poor standard of the initial marketing. I was later told by the sales manager that the photographs and description are not that important anyway !!! We were told that the agents would be ringing around purchasers on their books to generate interest. When we had no interest generated and asked what they had done we never received a full answer which would match what had been promised. We began to hear stories of WH Brown not getting back to potential purchasers when leaving answer phone messages and suspect ( though cannot be proven ) that this happened to us . We believe this because in a four month period an almost identical property had 7 viewings when we only had 1. When we stopped contacting the branch we heard nothing from them for a whole month at which point we submitted a formal complaint. In our experience this agency did the very minimum to sell our house. The initial confidence led us to sign a sole agency agreement which now means that if we sell to one of 3 clients they claim they introduced ( highly unlikely but not the point) They will persue a claim for 3% fee . Be very wary of signing such a contract.
2nd Jul 2023 (10 mo. ago)But slow going but that could of been the market. I think they over priced the property but saying that you have to put a higher price to get what you want.

They made me feel like a nuisance for wanting to know what was happening with my own property. They didn’t pass information on and also let the tenant answer questions about my property from my buyers which was inappropriate

On the sales side, the inaccurate reports and innovative stories were annoying and failed to listen to the customer. On the rental side, a failure to support a remote landlord was unhelpful and on both sides only the minimum was carried out. Obviously a year or so ago someone was much more efficient but the experience we had was dreadful.

I'm a first time buyer so was just putting up with it at first, but everytime I look elsewhere for understanding I find out just how much this agency is not working in line with normal expectations. They provide no information then chase you as if you're a nuisance. Information from them doesn't match up with what I get from my solicitors. The entire process has been much more stressful than necessary and I'm ridiculously disappointed. I have family moving up North and with how bad this process has been I'm at a point where I would encourage them to miss out on great properties just to avoid dealing with Lovelle Hykeham

Lonnie owns a good person, he knows how to manage customer's well. Whatever problems his customers have, he will find out the solutions as soon as possible. Lonnie is an amazing person. 16th May 2022 (2 years ago)Booked an appointment to go see a unit we were keen about, 2 other people also took time off work. We arrived onsite to no one to show from legat Owens, and then the landlady arrived to ask us what we were doing as the unit has been rented out for the last 3 months. So thank you legat Owens for completely wasting our time and letting us book time off work for a unit which isn’t for rent.

22nd May 2023 (11 mo. ago)This company listed our property without making any contact with us whatsoever, yet claimed to have spoken to me. They advertised the property at the wrong price with a very poorly written description. They even had the cheek to claim that we had an open house on the following week! All of this without any of our knowledge/permission. I am at a loss as to how to understand such underhand deceitfulness. Our advert has now been taken down and we have still not received an apology or anything.
