This may have been due to us but we felt later on that they did not qualify the potential buyers very well and we also had to chase them at times.

31st Jul 2023 (3 years ago)Living in Bridlington and having to sell my parents property in Louth I was unsure of which estate agent to use , however , I just recalled that a board with "John Taylor " on had been outside my grandparents property way back so I decided on that. What a great decision that was, John Taylor have been exceptional from day one to completion, always at the end of the phone with help and advice, great communications as to when viewings would be ( the property was empty and the keys left with John Taylor, and a great understanding that this was not just a house sale to me but the sale of my family home for the last 69 years, the house I grew up in and called home for all those years. I cannot fault them in any way , the only word I can use is "exceptional" Special thanks to Anne who was outstanding , she is a star. kindest regards to all at John Taylor and many many thanks . 14th May 2026 (12 weeks ago)Wouldn’t use this agent again to help find a property. Communication was very poor throughout the process. We viewed a property back in February and were initially told the landlord wouldn’t accept our application. Later, after the property had not had many viewings, they accepted an application from us. We were completely transparent from the start about a recently paid-off CCJ. After going through referencing, we were left waiting only to eventually be told the landlord decided not to proceed after another interested party came along. This could and should have been communicated much earlier. The agency seems to prioritise landlord decisions at the expense of customer care and basic communication. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

They sold our house before it had even officially gone to market, with their efficiency and proactive approach.<br><br>The whole team was friendly, professional and always on the ball. Communication was excellent throughout, and the entire process was handled smoothly with no hiccups at all.<br><br>A special mention goes to Lee, the photographer, whose attention to detail was outstanding and the photographs superb.<br>A very important aspect of the house selling process in my book.<br>Also, thank you to Tommy Johnson, our Residential Valuer, whose professionalism, knowledge and enthusiasm gave us confidence from the very start.<br><br>The marketing was first-class and made a real difference. The experience was chalk and cheese compared with another estate agency we used last year, where we had poor communication, very little proactive input and, ultimately, no results.<br><br>We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Pygott & Crone to anyone looking to sell their home.

Experienced zero support even when I tried to discuss strategy to ensure better interest in my property. I feel I wasted 16 weeks with little communication or care. Glad to be moving on with another local agent who has already proved themselves to be much more engaged with the seller than I experienced with Hunters in Horncastle.- 8th Jul 2026 (27 days ago)Friendly staff, open to discussions, good knowledge of the properties we were shown around. All questions were answered to our satisfaction and no pressure applied to us for a quick decision.

Based in the centre of Louth, their office is easy to access. Thank you Crofts for providing an excellent service.
20th May 2026 (11 weeks ago)Edit- The attached is the current situation at an Eddisons property on Swan Street. Eddisons 'do not wish to spend such sums' on a BIN so there are overflowing bins all around the entrance, bags being torn open by animals and residents can't open ground floor windows as it lets flies in. Eddison's suggestion? I'll send emails asking people to keep rubbish in their flats until before bin day, and people don't as they want rubbish out of their homes. So the rubbish in the street. No lack of urgency or rigour in response. Eddisons response below is 'I suggest you contact your landlord.' The 'landlord' response is 'we do not represent all parties so we cannot do anything regarding the shared areas which is up to Eddisons.'
