17th Jan 2022 (2 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.
9th Nov 2023 (25 weeks ago)Dealt with Mark Waldron on the sale of our house in Riverhead. I would highly recommend both Mark and Knight Frank. Right from the initial valuation appointment, mark gave really solid advice on how to maximise the marketing of the house to achieve the best price in a reasonable timescale. This was in summer 2023 and a difficult market to sell in. Knight Frank got lots of interest in the house and had multiple offers. This was because we followed Marks pricing advice and they put together some really lovely photos, brochures and adverts. We did have issues with our first buyer, who messed us around. Mark spotted this quickly and he was replaced with another buyer within a week. Mark has supported us through the post sale process, always happy to help speak with buyers, solicitors and other agents. If you are serious about selling in Sevenoaks then I highly recommend you talk to Mark and his team at Knight Frank. Thank you

2nd Apr 2024 (27 days ago)I sold my property through the Sevenoaks Branch of Jackson Stops and would thoroughly recommend them. The team are very friendly and professional. They aim to get to know you as well as your property. They like to conduct viewings themselves which leads to a more impartial and honest viewing. Everyone at the office visited the property and talked to me so that they were well informed when showing people around. My contact kept me well informed every step of the process and if they weren't in the office when I phoned everyone else was sufficiently well informed about my sale to answer my questions.

5th Feb 2024 (12 weeks ago)I have been asked to remove my original review. Ok, I will now just shorten it. I am a cash buyer and have asked to view a property in Cranbrook for the last 2 weeks - we have had a variety of excuses back, I am sure that more than one person works here and could have shown me around. I will presume that they do not wish to sell this property and go elsewhere to a more professional firm - one that is geared around the buyer and not having to fit in with the agency and what suits them. AVOID

From handing out leaflets in the areas of interest to regularly coming to me with properties before they’re to be listed on the market. I can’t fault her at all and looking forward to hearing about the next viewing opportunity that arises. My parents also used Lauren to sell their flat and had a great experience there as well.

24th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)We cant recommend Chocolate Box Homes highly enough, they are in a brilliant league of their own! Andrea & Ed give you absolute dedication, expertise and professionalism throughout. Andrea gave sound advice on how best to present our home with an emphasis on attention to detail. Beautiful photography and drone footage really showcasing our property to its full potential. Our home was a unique combination of 16th Century, Edwardian and a modern annex. Andrea got to know us and the property and all of its quirky character and also the surrounding area. They gave us a realistic valuation which was £45K above the best of the other agents and sold it within days. By filtering the right people who would be genuinely intersted in our property. Andrea is always only a phone call away. On agreement of sale Andrea & Ed keep in close contact with everyone along the chain keeping us well informed as the sale progressed. If you are looking for an estate agent that will go the extra mile then Chocolate Box are the ones for you.
6th Mar 2024 (8 weeks ago)Avoid this agent at all cost. Called them at 9am the day after an ad was posted. They said that line was busy so I tried calling a few times to no avail. Repeated this for the next few days and got the same response - "busy line, we will request an urgent callback". 2 weeks later, no responses still.

8th Apr 2024 (21 days ago)We sold with Dan Thomas & Co and honestly couldn’t have asked for a more supportive and caring experience. At every step of the process there was excellent communication and we were constantly kept up to date with any progress. The whole team went above and beyond to be as helpful as possible. In particular Lorraine and Claire were so brilliant; from arranging viewings, answering any questions, and even helping to contact solicitors for updates for us. Dan himself was extremely professional, honest, and attentive throughout. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!
