Magnus in particular has been a stellar agent, combining real professionalism with genuine, attentive support throughout. What could easily have been a stressful process was made to feel straightforward and well-managed at every stage, from the first conversation through to completion.<br><br>Credit is also due to the wider team, who were consistently responsive, helpful and professional whenever I needed them. It's clear this is a firm that values its clients and takes pride in getting the details right.<br><br>Having been looked after so well as both a buyer and a seller, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pocock & Shaw, and I'll happily be sending a few friends their way in the near future. Highly recommended.

From showing me around the property for the first time to handing over the keys on completion Mark Sheffield provided an excellent service. He was a pleasure to deal with, responding promptly and efficiently to all my requests and questions and liaising effectively with the developers and the interested parties as required. Highly recommended!

Our own estate agents (“they who shall not be named”) could never provide the service and care shown by Ellis Winters. In particular, Gary and Jan were our stalwart champions. With proactive and caring communication, a personable service, honest and transparent approach, we recommend them wholeheartedly. We regret being hoodwinked into selling with “those who shall not be named” and wish that we could have sold with Ellis Winters.<br><br>We barely had a relationship with our own agents, but felt so grateful for the support from Jan and Gary that we met them face to face on moving day and gave them chocolates - well deserved!!<br><br>Moving house is stressful, but Ellis Winters will support and guide you through with compassion and expertise. Trust them - they’ve got you.

10th Jul 2026 (18 days ago)A warning for buyers and sellers.<br><br>Unfortunately, like many estate agents in the UK, this branch appears to prioritise its own business interests over both buyers and sellers.<br><br>In our experience, if you don’t already have a property listed with them or aren’t using their additional services (such as mortgage brokering), it can feel like you have very little chance against buyers who do. Even when you do everything right as a buyer, it feels as though preference is given to applicants who generate the agency additional commission through multiple transactions or add-on services.<br><br>Sellers should also consider whether they are truly being presented with the strongest buyer overall, or simply the buyer most commercially beneficial to the agency. That could potentially mean losing out on better offers from genuine buyers who really love the property.<br><br>Buyers should be aware that being in a strong position alone may not be enough if you are not also using the agency’s wider services or related transactions.<br><br>While all offers legally have to be passed on, we’ll never know how fairly or enthusiastically competing offers were presented, and the overall process left us with very little confidence in the transparency of how things were handled.

Sophie was excellent at keeping me informed throughout and worked against the clock to ensure I could move in as quickly as possible. I’d recommend their services.

He has always been approachable, honest and professional, taking the time to keep us informed and answer any questions we had. We found the property that we really wanted and, although at the time it was already sold, Jade assured us that if anything changed she would 100% make it happen for us and we are now living in our dream home! Could not recommend Jade high enough. The personal touch you will almost definitely not find anywhere else

Tried to take our whole deposit due to apparently not giving notice when moving but we had, Gemma didn’t communicate within the work place. Had to keep contacting them to get a response about our deposit. No one ever replied unless we had emailed them 4/5 times. Very quick to be on your case when needing something but slow as a snail if you need anything sorted. Was very rude down the phone to my partner at one point.

She helped me secure a house in less than 2 weeks and made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. Kelsey was incredibly responsive, communicated exceptionally well, answered every question thoroughly (even the dumb ones), and made sure every need was taken care of from start to finish. Her professionalism and dedication truly stood out to me, and it made me want to go through this particular letting agency. To be quite honest, she deserves a promotion! Highly recommend working with her. 10/10!!!
