10th Apr 2026 (24 days ago)Things were perfectly fine at the start, but the tone shifted quite noticeably by the end. Once I handed in my notice, it felt like I was just something to move along quickly, simply because I was no longer a customer. The end of the tenancy came across as rushed and a bit impersonal, which made an already stressful process more so than it needed to be, and ultimately ruined what had otherwise been a good experience renting with them. Overall, not the best - but glad that's no longer something I have to deal with.- 17th Apr 2026 (17 days ago)I cannot thank or recommend John German enough for their help with our recent purchase. Madeline in sales was really helpful and professional in arranging viewings on several properties and getting our sale arranged, thank you! But I must say without the help and support from Jessica in Sales Progression we wouldn't be in our new home. We encountered more than a few hurdles on our journey, and her help and expertise were invaluable! She was absolutely fantastic, there was nothing she would stop at in order to get us and our entire chain moving. Without her proactive approach I genuinely think this chain would've collapsed at the final hurdle. We can't thank her enough for all she did for us. We will absolutely be recommending John German to anyone wanting to buy/sell/let in future! Thank you so much

17th Apr 2026 (17 days ago)Beware when your purchaser takes out a mortgage through your estate agent Would like to give zero but not allowed . In my opinion Ashbourne Bagshaws Residential protected a so called ‘hot buyer ‘ to the detriment of my sale. Helen (manager) lied to my face and said sale was going well . All the while she knew the so called ‘buyer’ had no mortgage or buildings regulations for a conversion ie not proceedable . Nor even had they 5 weeks later carried out the security checks for conveyance . I lost property after property . This is now a law suit and far from me being a tricky vendor the purchaser were not proceedable at that time. Over 4 months later l withdrew as still no Exchange . Connells the owner of Bagshaws Residential were willing to completely forget their duty to me in favour of this so called hot buyer . They were happy to let this go on month after month until the purchaser was able to proceed. In my opinion it is dishonest to favour a buyer because they were purchasing their mortgage through Connells .

There were no ‘extra’ charges for services e.g. 360 room tour; as we have experienced with an other estate agent. Their eagerness to sell our property, attitude and communication were top notch - and a special mention to Bethany. 15th Apr 2026 (19 days ago)Thanks to Francesca and her letting team, including Gabrielle and Jayde for the friendly and professional service, letting out our three bedroom house in Beeston. The marketing worked well and new tenants were found within two weeks of putting the property on the market. I thought getting the house ready in time for the tenants to move in right after Easter would be a challenge, given repairs, decoration and change of carpets. It was well managed, and their contractors knew what is required for a let property and did a very good job.

18th Jul 2024 (1 year ago)Wanted details on the Southwell Prebend house after a while I received it requested further information and a guidance on price and a viewing no reply a very well known Southwell resident who I visit discussed it with me ,I wasn't saying I was going to buy it but it would have helped if I was at the very least been given further information . Any how I gave up!! As far as I'm aware unless an agreement has been made which hasn't it should be open for a viewing.
