Rob and Tom were fantastic throughout - they gave us a wonderful introduction to the area, and were really helpful and responsive throughout. Process ran smoothly and we were able to get it done quickly. We'll certainly be back when it comes time to sell!- 23rd Jul 2024 (2 years ago)Winkworth were incredibly helpful throughout the process. The buyer and his solicitor messed me around forever at a difficult time for me. Without Winkworth 'on my side', I might well have given up and taken the flat off the market. They always took my calls, always followed up, always got back to me - that made the difference.

He couldn’t have been nicer and more accommodating; we had numerous surveyors, architects etc visiting the property and every time he was polite and generous with his time. Thanks James, so nice to deal with a “real” estate agent. A proper gent.

30th Sep 2026 (5 weeks ago)I asked Davies and Davies to value my property after buying through them some years ago. I was impressed as a buyer, so it seemed sensible to invite them to value my home. Out of the four agents who valued my home Davies and Davies were by far the most personable and knowledgeable. Mark took time and care to talk me through the selling process. We discussed easy 'quick win' ways to help my property get more attention. He was helpful, patient and confident without being arrogant. He also didn't try to win me over with an inflated estimate of how much my property was worth - instead he valued it accurately and fairly. The sales transaction was handled very well. Any query I had was answered thoroughly and in good time. The Davies and Davies team were proactive and courteous. I actively recommend them and would work with them again.

10th Jan 2024 (2 years ago)Would avoid this agency. I let my property out with them for nearly 5 years, and I'm still waiting in January for the final month's rent to be paid back to me from the tenant leaving in mid-November last year. On top of that the tenant left the flat in a complete state and I'm yet to receive any deposit money back to compensate. Calls/emails to the agency are being ignored.

23rd Sep 2026 (6 weeks ago)Renting from this Agent was one of the biggest mistakes of our lives. We rented a property at Elms Avenue which was extremely poorly maintained. We vacated the property within 6 months of renting - that should be indicative of how badly we were treated. Their entire response was that - the property meets the PHS standards for letting, beyond that I heard stuff like ‘it’s an old property, it is what it is’ & they arranged service folks who came and ranted about how badly managed that property was because the landlord was not good (this property was let and managed by them).<br>1) We moved in towards end of Dec and did not have heating in a massive 5 bed house for few days because no one was able to come immediately during Xmas and new years (response: it worked 2 weeks ago, we will get someone in). The temperate outside was -2 and inside was 0.<br>2) they had a dryer it’s a pull out drawer which was full of black moldy water with dryer covered with lint etc (response: never received one)<br>3) washing machine broke ie the drum cracked completely. I raised the issue that the machine was making a massive amount of noise a week before it broke (response: nothing till the machine broke and a week went by and then I asked for them to pay for my laundry collection and drop of service etc which they did)<br>4) we moved into a house with oven not working (which was on 28th Dec), we got the oven replaced on the Thursday before Easter (response: multiple attempts were made with AO who didn’t deliver because of parking issues) - they never answered how they would be reacting if multiple attempts to pay rent was made but rent was NOT actually paid.<br>5) the water dispenser in the fridge leaks every once a month - the water dispenser is not usable since it has mold which they didn’t think should be cleaned.<br>2 of their toilets leaked, door to the backyard is rotten, dishwasher broke. The list simply doesn’t end.<br><br>DO NOT RENT WITH THESE GUYS. they are lucky we got out as I had started a case against their property with the council with the mold etc but knowing how quickly the council works, before they could act on this, we had vacated. They brought the worst out of us, I had written so many emails and eventually towards the end they were in all caps and so rude because the attitude and actually Shannon telling us ‘it’s an old property, it is what it is’ tipped us over.<br><br>Imagine we vacated the property by July with a child which was 2 moves in 8 months - the mental stress they have caused us - that’s an 8 months of our lives we will not get back.<br>I wish no one in Elms Avenue uses them, I told the street how bad they were and how bad that property was to as many as possible.<br>PS: we are landlords and have been tenants before- this explained why the tenancy rights act changed. It is to protect tenants from horrendous landlords and agents like these.<br>I am attaching pics of the water dispenser from the fridge and the dryer lint which was black gunk.

17th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)What a different way to sell a home, with supportive, gentle and trustworthy people. We’d been mulling over the idea of relocating out of London for years and even discussed putting our home on the market with Unique previously. What we like is that there is no big sales pitch, no pressure to sell, just listening and responding. But more importantly, keeping both our buyers and us calm, communicative and friendly throughout the sale, so it felt as smooth as it could possibly be. We’re not planning to do move again any time soon, but we’d definitely use Unique if we were.
22nd Apr 2021 (5 years ago)Could improve communication with tenants and be more present for the details during the signature. The agency has a transactional relationship with the tenant. The manager is nice/personable, however. Update: To respond to your reply, the agents didn’t agree to slightly adjust the terms of the contract and I never received the digital copy of the contract that was agreed to be sent. There was no particular service, the service was transactional. Note that the reason there were so many phone calls is because I needed to get confirmation / a signed contract. Service was fine so I gave 3 stars, it isn’t a bad rating but it could be better on the tenant side. A bit odd to react this way though, surely it’s best to understand how to do better? Thank you.
17th Mar 2025 (1 year ago)I have dealth with agents in the past and it wasnt joyful. Dealing with Teresa, Jana and Mark was professional...they sold 2 properties for me. Selling is a nightmare in the UK so it wasnt without its problems but I was always guided well through the selling chaos. I would adopt Theresa and Jana.

A very happy customer so far- 26th Sep 2022 (4 years ago)This is the worst service I’ve ever received from any company. Since Day 1, they don’t reply usually when you’re asking questions. They postpone many things and lied about some issues. For Example, our fridge has been broken because it was old we’ve asked them a couple of times and they said they’ve already ordered a new one but we could see when they’ve ordered. You need to chase them for anything. The most disappointing part was, they’ve tried to charge the thing or issues that have been already damaged from the deposit I paid. It’s been almost 2 months and they didn’t refund my deposit. I said ok for many things just for the sake to receive our deposit back. They’ve even tried to charge 275£ for cleaning and I said OK even my flat was not much clean when I moved in. They tried to charge cutlery which belongs to a former tenant or an already broken clothes hanger. When we asked for the kitchen stuff or replacing these things they said “ These are personal things, and we cannot supply” but at the end of the tenancy, they tried to charge. I strongly DON’T suggest working with this agency. If you can find another place to move in go with them. They are the worst! They don’t do what they need to do. I’d like to suggest taking a photo of every inch of the flat! Every single detail is just for keeping a record on your own. As I said don’t work with them, if you need to take photos and keep send them for recording.

Communication has been excellent, and it’s reassuring to know my property is being looked after properly. I would happily recommend them to other landlords.

He was extremely personable, professional, and always happy to answer any questions we had. Vim was remarkably flexible with our viewing requests and responsive at all hours—even arranging a second viewing for us so we could measure dimensions for our furniture. He turned an extremely stressful process into a smooth and relaxed one. We couldn’t recommend him highly enough!
