They both talked us through each stage of references and I didn’t feel like we were getting the “hard sell” that can be common with some estate agents. Overall, a positive, polite and professional service and would definitely recommend.

28th Mar 2024 (23 days ago)Booked-in for a viewing on the 28th March of a 1bd flat in Wandsworth but, when I arrived, the agent said the landlord provided an incorrect address and the flat available for a viewing is a studio and not a 1bd, for the very same price. Completely unprofessional timewasters.

22nd Mar 2024 (29 days ago)Last time I rented anywhere was over a decade ago in Manchester, so I was a bit intimidated by the prospect of entering the cut-throat world of renting in London. Fortunately, it was Gyan that answered the phone, and we couldn’t be happier with the service he provided. Gyan took the time to find out exactly what was important to us and only sent us details of properties that were the right fit, which really helped as we were both working full-time and based in Manchester meaning time was at a premium. Gyan’s communication was great throughout via phone, email and Whatsapp depending on the situation. Viewings were always on time and very professional. The standout for us was that Gyan was infinitely patient and never too busy to answer our queries.
10th Mar 2024 (6 weeks ago)We used Oakwood to sell a property for probate reasons. Jay came to provide a valuation and guidance as to the process. Dan then became involved in the viewings - we weren't local so he handled all of this. With the realistic valuation and a good posting on their website including great pictures, the house sold very quickly. During the remainder of the process we got regular contact from both Jay and Dan and if we had any questions or left messages they were very prompt in responding. All in all they were terrific and made the whole thing a lot easier for us as a family. Would highly recommend

18th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
20th Feb 2024 (9 weeks ago)Excellent lettings, horrible tenancy management. I rented my apartment in 2020 through 'Reliable Homes' which was later acquired by 'Drivers & Norris'. After this acquisition, getting a reply from the agency on any non-emergency issue became a test of patience, though to their credit they would 'eventually' get the issue resolved. Few times this became extremely stressful, for example when it took me 6 months and several emails, including notices of formal complaint to the The Property Ombudsman, to get my tenancy deposit back after vacating the apartment in a perfectly fine condition.

Without Leightons, the whole process would’ve been way more stressful and possibly could’ve taken a lot longer too. Thanks to Helen and the team!! If we ever move again, we will definitely use Leightons.

We went to view a property today, called ahead to tell them we were going to be 10 mins late and were told by Jasmine she would call the person on site and let us know if this was not Okay. Arrived (8mins late) and noone at the property. Called the office spoke to Jasmine again who said the person doing the viewing had left... they hadn't called us back to tell us and then said "who was it you spoke to?" She had clearly put the phone down and completely forgotten. An hour and a half round trip wasted due to incompetence.- 26th Mar 2024 (25 days ago)I'm not quite sure how to get across how incredible my experience with Foxtons has been. One person in particular went above and beyond in many ways to help my partner and I land our dream flat. We owe Nicola a massive thank you. She cared to REALLY understand what we needed, communicated and negotiated on our behalf and made herself available on WhatsApp even in her own time, late in the evening. We have worked with many estate agents and Nicola is head and shoulders above each of them; persisting to leave both tenants and landlords heard and happy. Nicola is a credit to Foxtons and is what an estate agent should be.
