11th Jun 2026 (9 days ago)My experience with Barnard Marcus estate agents is with their lettings department in finchley N12.<br>Having a number of properties in North Finchley I have been dealing with their lettings manager for the past 7 or 8 years.<br>What I like is the strong understanding and relationship with the same person for the whole timep. The lettings manager Linas to be very understanding of my requirements and very personable to deal with and I find him to be very efficient in his job.<br>All the rentals which I have given to Linas he has obtained good quality tenants within aabout two days and most recently within half a day.

6th May 2026 (6 weeks ago)Communication has been consistently poor, from reception through to senior management. Calls are not returned, emails go unanswered for long periods, and when responses do come, they often fail to address the actual questions raised. There appears to be a pattern of deflecting responsibility rather than resolving issues, alongside a lack of accountability and follow-through. The overall experience has felt disorganised and unprofessional. Based on my experience, I would not recommend.

She was incredibly friendly, entertaining, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable rather than stressful. She was also very informative, answered all of our questions honestly, and clearly knew the properties and area really well. Although we didn’t end up purchasing through Foxtons in the end, we genuinely had such a positive experience with Yvonne and really appreciated all of her help and effort. She made a lasting impression and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a property!

Sebastien and Afzal have been really present during all the process. Buying or selling a property in the UK is not the most easier process. I can honestly say that we've never had a bad experience with them, and every member of staff that we've interacted with over the years have been professional, friendly, and happy to offer advice to any queries we've had. I can highly recommend and look forward to many more years as their customer.
13th Apr 2026 (10 weeks ago)I had a very bad experience with this agency. Initially, the property was advertised for £2000, but after I agreed, the rent was suddenly increased to £2100. I was also asked to pay multiple deposits and advance rent, which I did in full. When I received the keys and moved in, the house was not ready at all. There were multiple issues—no proper electricity setup, no gas card, broken fittings, and unfinished repairs. Even though I was promised everything would be fixed, it took over a month after moving in to complete basic work. Later, serious issues like no heating and no hot water continued for months. Despite repeated complaints, the landlord failed to take responsibility and even asked me to arrange repairs myself, which is unacceptable when full rent is being paid. I gave proper notice and paid all rent up to my move-out date. However, now the landlord is refusing to return my deposit and is still making unreasonable demands. This has been one of the worst renting experiences I’ve ever had. Very unprofessional service, poor maintenance, and no accountability. I would not recommend this agency to anyone.

The care, professionalism and understanding they brought to my move was genuinely outstanding, Shoutout to Pio too who was brilliant supporting in the final stages and I can without doubt note that every single person I dealt with from Mihomes went above and beyond in every sense. To any buyer or seller out there, do not hesitate with this team. These are the people you want handling your move. I cannot thank them enough.

He was very helpful and nothing was ever to much trouble, he gave me good advice and information, He always kept me fully informed of what was going on, Esp, on what viewers were saying. Reyon was well-organized, and respectful throughout the entire process, He showed excellent communication skills and answered all of my questions? Reyon secured the best possible deal for me. I would highly recommend Tilson and Spencer when selling and buying.

I have been looking for a place for so long and she managed to find me the perfect one bedroom apartment, she knows I have been fussy however there hasn't been much on the market recently and once I got the call she guided me through the whole process from start to finish I could not thank her enough and would recommend anyone who is looking please go to her! great estate agents to work with would recommend
18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
