Burchell Edwards - Eastwood

I would highly recommend Burchell Edwards and the staff at the Eastwood branch. I have just completed a house sale and throughout the process I was kept well informed of every development. They were skilled at negotiating a deal for me . Offering advice and the benefit of their experience without being imposing. The staff were lovely if I rang with a query and always had time for me. I feel that the service was good value for money as they conducted all the viewings for me and had to contend with the disruption of the lockdown. Thank you Lexie, Jasmine and Billie . Jane , the sales progresser was also invaluable at liaising with the solicitors and advocating on my behalf . This was not an easy task. Unfortunately , although Burchell Edwards themselves were amazing, the solicitors that they work with were not. DC Law were poor at communicating and did not chase up the progress of the sale promptly. So absolutely go to Burchell Edwards but think carefully about which solicitor you use.... Read more

What an absolute joke outfit terrible service no follow up call as promised, wrong details/description of our property in the summary these are the most unprofessional estate agents I have ever come across!!! They were a problem from the very beginning. Every time I had to call the office, somebody different would answer and there would be no record of what was going on, rude people no apologies from them on not calling back to me makes me think how this business still survives.... Karly at Saint Property Services had a big hand in the acquisition of my first house. She was very personable and down to earth from the off and followed on attentively until completion. Being such as great communicator and prompt in her response, I always felt I had that person to rely on during any sticky patches (solicitors etc.) and any dealings were graciously conducted. Jason also stepped in whenever required to similar effect. A job well done and big thanks, Karly’s efforts and knowledge should not go unrecognized so use her whenever possible. Regards... Read more

(1 because you can't give 0) In the process of renting a property through them for the second time (due only to necessity - PLEASE, landlords, if you have a nice house, let it through someone else, they will not look after your property!). *First experience: on my first visit I was sat at a pre-arranged appointment, only to be abandoned part way through as she had to go and move her car from the tesco car park. Staff seem happy to swear at each other across the office and ignore the client. Following this, it took at least 3 attempts to get the names, addresses and rental amount correct on the contract, and in the end we settled for one that ran back in time from August to January of that year. My guarantor, when unhappy with some of what he was being asked to sign, phoned up to query the contract. He was told by the manager (Ross) that 'nobody else has a problem with it, they just sign' and that he himself couldn't understand the clause either as they outsource their contract writing. Once we moved in, we had several problems with an extractor fan and blinds which despite repeated phone calls and emails, were never fixed. (At one point an electrician turned up but didn't have the right parts and never returned.) When moving out, as expected, there were a large number of claims of uncleanliness and changes to the property. However, these seem to be standard as we'd cleaned incredibly thoroughly such that the house was far cleaner on leaving than upon arrival. We raised a dispute with the dps and on requesting the moving in photo kept by saint, found that they had hidden burn marks on a table with a table cloth and that the inventory was incredibly out of date. Needless to say, the dps ruled in our favour. *Second experience: it is two days before I am supposed to move in. Nobody, bar occasionally Alex (who seems to be the only person there with a brain so must have a lot on his plate...) has returned my calls or emails over the past couple of weeks. Yesterday I was sent a contract with the incorrect dates. I have paid £120 'administration fee' for them to ignore me for weeks, send me an email with incorrect documentation and then fail to answer the phone. I honestly don't understand how any company can be this utterly hopeless and still be able to legally take so much of your money. If it comes to round three, I'm choosing homelessness. ... Read more

I had an excellent experience working with Jane and Jason to purchase a property in the Park, Nottingham, towards the end of 2019. Their knowledge of the area, in particular the special requirements, was great. The communication was prompt and precise throughout the process to make it as smooth as possible. I’d definitely recommend dealing with FHP living, and in particular, Jane and Jason.... Read more

This company recently took over our building. I was told I would be contacted in regards to the service charge. I waited and waited. I asked thier representative on MULTIPLE occasions what to do/how to pay. They now say they sent me letters about the bills to my current address and its a TOTAL LIE. They knew i live at the propery yet bizarrely sent bills to an old address so I did not see them. Then I eventuality hit with the bill (thats fine.... but:) then i was hit with a "late fee" on top. I dont know if this was totally incompence or malice Im really not sure. Now they wont return my calls, refuse to get me a meter reading (only they have access of course). They also REFUSE to get me a service charge breakdown of the service charges yet have no problem taking my money. I will be getting legal advice on this issue. If you are willing to get the breakdown of charges and a meter reading and provide SOME kind of service and breakdown of the charges I will happily take down this reveiw. But currently they WILL NOT reply to me AT ALL. So if you like being ignored, like to hand over your hard earned money and once again be completely ignored if you ask how its being spent then here you go. Until I get legal advice I will be paying all future payments to a third party and not releasing them to you until you provide a basic service (meter readings/service charge breakdown). If you want to have a more coridal relationship I am more than willing to co-operate. But as I am being COMPLETELY IGNORED I am not holding my breath. If you decide to co-operate I will remove/update this post. To say I would not recommend would be a massive understatement. At present. They only communicate in regards to payment. Hopefully this changes and we can move forward but I highly doubt it. Couldnt be worse at present. DO NOT TRUST. ALSO my father made one payment to them on my behalf when I asked him not to. After that I asked that they not take payment from anyone but me they said "NO". "We can legally take any payment from anyone on your behalf even if you dont consent". This is great example of the moral fabric of this company. Rude, refuse to provide the service but will take any kind of payment by any means possible. Rude, lazy, incompetent and nasty has been my opinion of this company. If I am wrong please prove it to me and i will happily take down this reveiw. You can take my money but ignore all correspondence from me and provide NO SERVICE. Way below any reasonable persons expections, let alone meeting or exceeding them. COULD NOT BE WORSE... Read more

Watsons Estate Agents - Kimberley
40 Main Street, Kimberley, Nottingham, NG16 2LY

Where do you start when looking for an agent to sell your house? I looked at the web based agents which looked attractive based on the "No Commission" fees and just pay the flat rate. Then again they get their money whether you find a buyer or not, they get their money for putting a board up and posting on the web sites. I looked at those and was tempted, I then invited 3 agents around to see what their USP was. Watson's were different from the rest, driven by a husband and wife team who's livelihood is invested in making yours and my house sale. Because they had so much "skin in the game" I chose them. The photos taken by Sheree were fantastic, the support they offered was second to none and yes of course they found me a buyer at the price I wanted. After I had accepted the offer they managed the sales process and as beforehand they went the extra mile. They are not your average estate agent, try them and like me you will be impressed.... Do you really want to work with an estate agent that could possibly knock thousands off your house or you lose a purchase, because they possibly forget to tell buyers of deadlines? Watsons neglected to tell me the final deadline for offers on a property. When I called to raise my offer I was told repeatedly that the deadline would have been made very clear to me, at no point did they even consider I was telling the truth. I was made to feel and treated like I was being dishonest. If I had left it at that I would not have been able to submit a final offer. Only after I had made a formal complaint was my final offer supposedly passed to the vendor. The communication from Watson’s has been littered with inaccuracies throughout the whole process. From the communication Watsons to myself I cannot be confident that the information supplied is accurate. But according to Watsons response I have been treated fairly. So treating someone fairly is: making them feel like and treated like they are being dishonest, only getting to submit a final offer after a formal complaint. Then told that it was just a miscommunication and they can understand why I feel I have been treated unfairly, implying that they treated me fairly and the it’s my feelings that are at fault.. The sad thing is most of these facts could have easily been checked easily. As something as critical as a deadline for final offers, and Watsons rely on someone remembering to tell you. I truly feel for anyone who have to deal with these people.... Read more
