22nd Mar 2024 (29 days ago)Unfortunately I haven’t had a good experience whilst renting with Newton Fallowell Oadby. I reported numerous of repairs including mould issues in the property which were ignored. I reported a rat infestation within our outdoor communal area and was told to contact pest control myself. I was left without a working heater in the living room in a property that is extremely cold. Snotty/rude responses via email when I questioned why they were raising the rent considering said repairs had not been carried out. Also when vacating the property they withheld my deposit due to ‘repairs’ which most of which I had previously reported which has now left me with £75 out of a £495 deposit.

The honesty and advice given was tremendous and extremally helpful to my wife and I. Would recommend their services and will use when i decide to move. A very positive company and very professional approach. Ellie was excellent yesterday also, prior to the to visit great advice before the visit took place. Big thanks

From start to completion the service and help they provided was second to none. The valuation and taking photos of the property was professional and all the help and communication from the staff at the office was impeccable. I can highly recommend them and would definately use David James in the future

She was brilliant, we had to jump through quite a few hoops together and she was incredibly helpful with any issues we faced! It was a long process but she was with me through every step!

We had a really difficult journey with our house move/purchase, and Nicola and the team could not have been more supportive throughout the many months. They were always happy to be a listening ear to any concerns (or rambles!), and help us in any way they could. They were incredible on moving day when things became extra stressful, and their support was hugely appreciated! ??

9th Apr 2024 (11 days ago)Enquired about a house, sent email on Rightmove and Luke asked when we would like to view, we replied an hour later (midday) the same day with no response. Three days later we hadn’t heard a response so chased what was happening, Luke said he had been on annual leave, but we had received no contact nor an email telling us this, which is why he hadn’t replied - and there was no out of office email on. We then asked to view the next week and was told Luke would arrange. Yet again we had heard no update so we chased AGAIN on the Saturday morning (we called this time) and Luke said he would check. We received a email two hours later and Luke said the vendors would prefer Sunday morning (the next day at 9.30am) as they already had a viewing. We couldn’t do Sunday due to a family emergency and explained this, but Luke pushed Sunday saying that he knew ‘the vendors probably wouldn’t wait that long’ because ‘they had already had an offer come in’ so probably wouldn’t want us viewing 2 days later. If Luke had responded to our initial email 8 days prior to all of this, we could have had a viewing on the house and put an offer in. Poor communication, quite rude and a lack of care shown. We saw another house for sale that we thought we might want to see, but saw it was on with Frank Innes and decided not to bother - luckily it was on with another agent so we have viewed through them. Hilariously, this house we wanted to view initially is still on Rightmove and has apparently sold despite this happening nearly 3 weeks ago. We have been told this morning it will ‘probably be off in the next 24 hours’ but it’s not been off the last 2 weeks so god knows what they’re playing at. Will not be using to sell our house and what an unprofessional experience we have had.

18th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

They kept me up to date at all times, took amazing pictures, and sold the house in 5 days!! After using a few other estate agents previously, I can honestly say Staton & Cushley are miles ahead in their knowledge, professionalism and customer service - which is second to none. Thank you for the perfect experience, I can’t recommend them enough!!
