Karly at Saint Property Services had a big hand in the acquisition of my first house. She was very personable and down to earth from the off and followed on attentively until completion. Being such as great communicator and prompt in her response, I always felt I had that person to rely on during any sticky patches (solicitors etc.) and any dealings were graciously conducted. Jason also stepped in whenever required to similar effect. A job well done and big thanks, Karly’s efforts and knowledge should not go unrecognized so use her whenever possible.

In the process of renting a property through them for the second time (due only to necessity - PLEASE, landlords, if you have a nice house, let it through someone else, they will not look after your property!).
*First experience: on my first visit I was sat at a pre-arranged appointment, only to be abandoned part way through as she had to go and move her car from the tesco car park. Staff seem happy to swear at each other across the office and ignore the client. Following this, it took at least 3 attempts to get the names, addresses and rental amount correct on the contract, and in the end we settled for one that ran back in time from August to January of that year.
My guarantor, when unhappy with some of what he was being asked to sign, phoned up to query the contract. He was told by the manager (Ross) that 'nobody else has a problem with it, they just sign' and that he himself couldn't understand the clause either as they outsource their contract writing.
Once we moved in, we had several problems with an extractor fan and blinds which despite repeated phone calls and emails, were never fixed. (At one point an electrician turned up but didn't have the right parts and never returned.)
When moving out, as expected, there were a large number of claims of uncleanliness and changes to the property. However, these seem to be standard as we'd cleaned incredibly thoroughly such that the house was far cleaner on leaving than upon arrival. We raised a dispute with the dps and on requesting the moving in photo kept by saint, found that they had hidden burn marks on a table with a table cloth and that the inventory was incredibly out of date. Needless to say, the dps ruled in our favour.
*Second experience: it is two days before I am supposed to move in. Nobody, bar occasionally Alex (who seems to be the only person there with a brain so must have a lot on his plate...) has returned my calls or emails over the past couple of weeks. Yesterday I was sent a contract with the incorrect dates. I have paid £120 'administration fee' for them to ignore me for weeks, send me an email with incorrect documentation and then fail to answer the phone.
I honestly don't understand how any company can be this utterly hopeless and still be able to legally take so much of your money. If it comes to round three, I'm choosing homelessness.
