2nd Jun 2026 (17 days ago)Absolutely disgraceful experience. I have never dealt with an estate agent that behaved so unprofessionally and dishonestly. After my offer was accepted and I proceeded in good faith, I later discovered that the estate agent was actively trying to secure a higher offer instead. It felt as though they had no respect whatsoever for transparency, fairness, or basic professional ethics. Throughout the process I was given information that turned out to be misleading, and I was left with the clear impression that their priority was not to act honestly but simply to extract as much money as possible from the situation. The entire experience left me feeling deceived and manipulated. What should have been an exciting property purchase became a stressful and frustrating ordeal because of the conduct of this agency. Trust is essential when dealing with property transactions, and unfortunately I found their actions completely undermined that trust. I would strongly advise anyone considering using this estate agent to proceed with extreme caution. Based on my experience, I would not use them again and would not recommend them to friends, family, or anyone looking for a fair and honest service.

They gave honest opinions about properties and pointed out things we might have missed. That honesty helped us avoid a few homes that probably would have caused problems later.

She supported me with everything and explained all the information clearly, making the whole process much easier and less stressful. 16th Jun 2026 (3 days ago)I cannot thank Rex and the team enough for the assistance they offered when we were back in Nottingham from Bahrain to see our son who was in hospital. They went above and beyond to accommodate our requests which included a short team licence to occupy so that we could be close to our son once he left hospital. It was a difficult time for us so Rex's thoughtful help and support was very much appreciated. The team were always courteous and willing to please and had exceptionally good local knowledge of the lettings market. As a landlord myself in Bristol, I would have no hesitation in using CP Walker to manage my property if I owned one in Nottingham.

I felt comfortable I was in safe hands and confident to act, knowing that I had their support. Would heartily recommend them for all landlord and tenancy management and support.

29th May 2026 (21 days ago)*Stay well clear, avoid Tomlinson Estates at all costs* My son started a tenancy with a group of other students at a shared property let via Tomlison Estates. On first entry we noted and reported that his room had a faulty / damaged window, that the extraction fan in the bathroom was not working and the Freezer compartment of a fridge-freezer was leaking as it was rammed with ice, the door was not closing and needed fixing. My son stayed in the house and his room no more than a week (or less) and moved out to another loaction. We got no help from Tomlinsons to relet the room (basically it was our problem and just pay the rent, they did not seem to care a jot) and hence the room stayed empty for the duration of the tenancy. As far as we know the faulty window and extractor fan have not been fixed (we have reported it to the landlord was the usual response). With the tenancy ending 31-July-24 I expected the deposit monies to be returned promptly in full, particularly that of my son, as he had not been living there for 95% or more of the tenancy period whilst we paid the full rent for 2 accommodations! Now in October they have returned the deposit with a large deduction for end of tenancy cleaning. Totally unacceptable.

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

They have always been fantastic and I can find little to fault them over the years that I was with them, and the way they managed the invitable bumps that emerged along the way.
