20th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)Do not recommend. They were ok at beginning of tenancy as they want to make money Ofc. But extremely difficult at end of tenancy. They tried to take my deposit for things I was not responsible for such as a faulty boiler (which I reported months before I handed in my notice). They were aware of this as they provided the inventory. Very difficult and rude admin personnel. Avoid. Avoid.

(288 reviews)3rd Apr 2024 (20 days ago)Purchased an office chair recently, came incomplete, missing the whole middle part that puts everything together (see photo). The description did not mention anything about it being incomplete, it just stated "LAZBOY OFFICE CHAIR". The photos did not indicate that there would be missing parts. Now I'm out £168 and pieces of a chair. Please be careful and don't bid to avoid dissapointment and financial burdens.

1st Aug 2022 (1 year ago)Rented from saints for 2 years and they were awful - impossible to get hold of and very slow at responding to urgent queries such as having a broken boiler. I don't know why they exist other than to take more money off tenants - I can't imagine anything would have been different if we had cut them out the equation dealt directly with the landlord, other than that we would have been financially better off. I've heard that some of the staff I dealt with have left the company since then but I would still advise against renting through this agent.
10th Apr 2024 (13 days ago)Unprofessional agent. Two viewings arranged where the agents don’t turn up. Complete time wasters incapable of sticking to a diary or communicating. If simple things like a viewing are a chore to this agent what will the complete experience be like. I dare not find out. Thanks for wasting our time.
9th Apr 2024 (14 days ago)Been a landlord for nineteen years, but I decided to step back and let Bairstow run my properties. Excellent decision. My main contact is assistant manager at Nottingham, Amy Ashmore. If we have an issue, Amy is excellent at giving me clear options, offering solutions that other organisations have not considered. Amy is very good at thinking outside the box and preserving to find solutions. Her professionalism is one reason for landlords employing Bairstow Eves. Richard Garton.

From start to completion the service and help they provided was second to none. The valuation and taking photos of the property was professional and all the help and communication from the staff at the office was impeccable. I can highly recommend them and would definately use David James in the future

Even though we didn't find our new home with them, all the staff were very helpful to us. Especial thanks to Claire of Wollaton office. I cant thank you enough.
17th Apr 2024 (6 days ago)I am writing this review to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the services provided by Ashley Adams estate agents. My experience has been nothing short of appalling, and I feel compelled to write this review. * Despite numerous attempts to contact Molly, I have received no response. The lack of communication and unresponsiveness have caused unnecessary stress and frustration. * As a customer, I expected timely and professional communication throughout the process, but unfortunately, this has not been the case. * Handling of the sale was done inappropriately, quick to take the deposit but no support afterwards. * Travis didn't stick to his words of 'I'll collate all the information and get back in touch'. * I was informed by Travis that the holding deposit fee would be returned if the deal with the property fell through, which it did for reasons that are legally acceptable. However, it is now approaching almost 3 months, and I have not received the refund. This delay is unacceptable, and I demand immediate action to rectify the situation which I can’t see happening any time soon.

My housemates and I had the absolute worst experience with them in our second year. we are all International students who knew very little about tenancies in the UK to which we were taken advantage of. They are extremely slow and negligent to responding to emails which has cost us legal claims in default against us. The landlord could not care less and is very aggressive with his approach to any circumstance. Imagine being charged 65 pounds for apparent "Cello tape marks". Our deposits aren't completely protected which they lied to us about and breached multiple rules. When confronted about this, they never discussed this topic or disappeared. We have been trying to fight Tomlinson since months now due to their slow and negligent deposits team which has cost us legal charges to which they have "no control over". The landlord refused to talk to us directly and only through Tomlinson which makes them responsible for any action taken to which they refuse to take accountibility for. Funny, ain't it? For them definitely because they do not have to be paying absurd amounts to solicitors and courts. PLS AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS I BEG YOU. There are much better agencies in Nottingham like Student Cribs or even Purple Frog.

4th Apr 2024 (19 days ago)Students AVOID this letting agency, I urge you to read this full review before using this company. Choosing City Lettings is a decision you'll likely regret, for the following reasons: - Terrible landlord behaviour - Refusing to give back your deposit - Ignored communications - Unsafe living conditions We faced numerous red flags even before moving in (August 2022): - No valid EICR provided - Illegible gas safety certificate, indicating a failed test - Unsigned documents - Poor communication from agency which constantly required us to push for answers Then upon moving in, the house was in dismal condition: - Previous tenants had access due to unreturned keys, posing a security risk, the letting agency DIDN'T bother to check if all keys had been returned - Broken washing machine (pictures attached) - Exposed wiring and displaced plug sockets - Filthy premises; landlord promised but failed to deliver a professional deep clean Our experience got EVEN WORSE over time: Garage Rented Out: Without prior notice, our landlord rented out the garage. We were constantly disturbed by the garage tenant needing access to our basement. Unexpected Renovation: Landlord decided to renovate the kitchen in the middle of our lease. Promised a "few days to a week" timeline; took 3 weeks. Unannounced Entries: Landlord entered the property without prior notification multiple times. As of now, our deposit has not been returned in full, despite leaving the property in a better state. Both the agency and landlord are ignoring our communications about it. Reasoning for the deposit not being returned in its full amount? The Washing Machine and Dryer supposedly being broken. It was working completely fine before we left - the issue with the machine is supposedly a technical fault, which means the landlord doesn't have grounds to deduct from our deposit. The extremely dodgy invoice used as supposed 'evidence' for the faults, conveniently is dated AFTER his initial claims about their being faults with these appliances. TLDR: AVOID THIS AGENCY.

Staff were always positive, despite having a long 10 month wait which was down to vendors. Lovely little goodie bag received on completion.

Chantelle and her team from the Beeston Office have been super efficient, excellent in communication and very accommodating to my needs. I can only recommend!
