The process can be gruelling and lengthy however Devon was always in touch and would get back to me regarding queries promptly. I feel he is a credit to your branch and I have been overall very pleased with how he dealt with our our purchase.
10th Oct 2026 (22 days ago)All went ok aside from the recommended solicitors who seemed to drag their feet (as most probably do) it took 5 months after the offer to sell a property with no chain and to a cash investor who wanted no surveys. Made no sense and I felt that I was chasing Staff to chase the solicitors.
19th Aug 2026 (11 weeks ago)Dealt with this firm as the seller when they represented the buyer on my property sale. Their conveyancer refused an existing absent landlord indemnity policy on completion and pushed for a retention for ground rent arrears. After completion, the ground rent invoice was issued by a company whose active Director is a Senior Partner of this exact law firm. When raised, the Senior Partner dismissed the concern on the basis that I was not their direct client. Be aware of how third-party transactions and retentions are handled here.<br><br>UPDATE in response to the owner's comments:<br><br>I was never provided with an address or contact details for any alleged rent collector, meaning there was literally no door to knock on. It was only when I researched the entity demanding the funds on Companies House that the direct link to this firm's Senior Partner was uncovered. Written correspondence from the conveyancer also confirmed that her client would not knock on a door to pay rent.<br><br>The Absent Landlord indemnity policy had already been purchased in 2018 at my own cost when I bought the property. Refusing existing insurance to extract cash under the time pressure of a completion date resulted in an unnecessary duplicate payment.<br><br>The response above openly confirms that the company which issued the arrears demand and received the payment has a Senior Partner of this law firm as an active Director.<br><br>I never confirmed the matter was closed, having promptly referred the conduct to the regulator. The SRA's assessment explicitly recorded that the conveyancer claimed she was personally unaware that her firm's Senior Partner ran the company collecting the ground rent.<br><br>The documented email trail and public Companies House records speak for themselves.

Great value for money versus others in the area. Hopefully the process to completion will be as efficient but mindful solicitors are involved and that WC . Dawson don’t have too much influence on the timeline of the sale itself.

They were no pressure in selling and explained the process and answered any queries putting us at ease considering this was the first time selling what was our first family home. Once the house was listed, Reside dealt with all the viewings and fit it around us generally conducting group viewings so it was less intrusive on our family life. Once sold they kept in regular contact with us and the buyers to help the sale complete.
