12th May 2026 (18 weeks ago)Initially found the team to be professional, knowledgeable, and very helpful prior to signing the contract. However, the experience deteriorated quickly afterward. Communication has been extremely poor and often unresponsive, with commitments made that were not followed through. Overall, the service has felt disorganized and significantly below expectations for a letting management agent. The property continues to be shown in its current condition, which raises questions about their standards and oversight. Additionally, their knowledge of the local area appeared limited, which further reduced confidence in their ability to manage effectively. Based on my experience, I would not recommend using them for lettings.

Their combination of residential sales, valuations and property auctions gives them a depth of expertise beyond a typical estate agency. I particularly appreciate the balance between traditional professional standards and modern property marketing. Their strong knowledge of Southsea and Portsmouth, together with the personal approach of an independent firm, makes Nesbits a very reassuring choice for property matters.

21st Jun 2025 (1 year ago)Bernard's dealt with the sale of my house - always kept me updates, very very quick to respond and even supported me with questions around buying. The portal was great too. Never felt pressured or unsupported - thank you Craig and Jordan.
3rd Feb 2021 (5 years ago)When looking to secure a tenancy we were not kept up to date or informed if our offers had been accepted or unsuccessful, after emails and calls not returned we went elsewhere and secured a property with all checks completed in 48 hours. Do not recommend

Their long-standing presence in North End gives a reassuring impression of local property knowledge, and I appreciated the straightforward approach to sales and lettings. The team came across as professional, approachable and helpful throughout the process. I also like that they offer both tenant-find and fully managed services, which makes them a useful option for landlords. A reliable local estate agency with a good understanding of the Portsmouth property market.

They were professional, honest, responsive, and always maintained the highest standards. They kept us informed every step of the way, answered all our questions promptly, and made what could have been a stressful process feel straightforward and well managed. 8th Sep 2026 (9 days ago)We dealt with both owners of the company, both very professional and knowledgeable, they have considerable experience in selling houses in thei area and made us feel confident that if anyone would sell our house it was them. They make sure potential buyers have the finances to buy the house before any agreements are made and i feel that overall they gave us more assurance than some other companies do. My son bought his house through them and it was the way they ensured that the buyers did not mess about the sellers than clinched it with using them.

2nd Oct 2025 (11 mo. ago)Horrific Company! Dealing with this company for over three years was one of the worst and most frustrating experiences I have ever had. From pathological lies and miscommunication to the unprofessional attitude and mishandling of documentation alongside complete lack of respect or courtesy — if I could turn back time, I would have never gotten in touch with them. If you value your privacy and don’t want people entering your home whenever it suits them, stay far away. Their negligence, ongoing arrogance, and blatant disregard for the terms of a legal contract are unacceptable. Carrying out viewings without the legal tenant's consent and entering the property at their own discretion is an absurd! After the end of our tenancy, they made baseless allegations and attempted to claim money for issues that evidently existed prior to our move-in. Though they failed to follow basic industry procedures. Landlords shouldn’t place much trust in them either — their incompetence affects all parties involved.

Poor at showing people around- I have cameras and heard a few remarks from the agent that were inaccurate and likely to put people off. Poor during initial conversation- making promises that were immediately broken about a house we loved that they were marketing. Also failed to carry out basic information gathering that we have later discovered is a legal requirement.

Minimal viewings Person showing the house (not the exp lead) arrived at the same time as the potential buyers so house wasn’t opened up or displayed to best advantage No communication from the estate agent I would not use exp again. Very disappointed.

He persuaded me to sell through fox and sons and has helped me whenever I’ve needed it during the sale. I cannot recommend him enough, he always seems happy and has a smile on his face and makes you feel so very important. Highly recommend Charlie to be the next Manager as he keeps the Southsea office going regardless!!
