29th Feb 2024 (8 weeks ago)I had a viewing scheduled with this estate agent today, and although they confirmed the appointment a few hours beforehand, their communication and accessibility were disappointing. When I requested the agent's mobile number in case I couldn't find her during the appointment, she refused to provide it, stating that I must contact the office first, who would then contact her and relay the message back to me. In this digital age, it's unreasonable for an estate agent not to have a business mobile number for direct communication. Despite charging hefty fees for their services, they seem unwilling to invest in basic conveniences for their clients.

You have fully managed the house, garage and berth at Port Solent on behalf of the trustees for years and recently appraised and subsequent disposed of all three elements of the property to its new owners. You have acted with diligence and competence throughout the process and your firm is to be commended. A shout out especially to Maria, Mandy and Lisa who worked well together to produce the desired result.

20th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)If you can help it, don't use this agency. The first week I moved in, the fridge broke and all my food went bad - when I reported this and a shower problem to one of the staff, I was told in a rude tone that "I shouldn't complain since these things happen" despite the fact that they had time to fix these issues before I moved in as no one had been living there for some time. I rented a property through them for 3 years, and throughout that time the building had leak issues, including damp, mould and others. At one point it was essentially niagra falls coming through a leak in the front room which damaged a part of the room. Throughout a year and a half, I consistently emailed/contacted about this problem. It took me threatening to not pay rent before something was done, otherwise I was essentially left to deal with it which was particularly hard through winter. There was maybe one member of staff who was genuinely helpful, but trying to get consistent contact was difficult. The other staff didn't always respond, or else ignored messages I sent. Despite being a consistent paying tenant, I was eventually kicked out as a new landlord had bought the property and clearly wanted to rent out the flats for a much higher rate, which I don't think would be worth it considering the level of damage the building has. Unprofessional, at times rude, unhelpful and don't care about your wellbeing so long as they get paid.

6th Apr 2024 (18 days ago)Do not rent any property associated with Nexa especially if you are young!! We have had endless issues since renting through Nexa properties which they are still yet to acknowledge/resolve. These issues include damp within the property (black mould and mushrooms growing), leaking boiler, no hot water for days at a time, lack of security (windows that do not close), we were also without a shower for 3 months. If you are a young person they do not attempt to fix or resolve any issues you have until you threaten the council or not paying rent!
15th Feb 2024 (10 weeks ago)DO NOT USE THIS UNETHICAL COMPANY! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF! They took a deposit from my company, then changed the rules, forcing us to withdraw, and refused to give us our money back! They treat customers like enemies. They wouldn't even speak to us! STEER CLEAR! AWFUL STAFF, AWFUL OWNER, AWFUL COMPANY. The reply below is untrue. They knew it was a company let. I wasn't rude to staff. I just asked for a refund, so they said "don't speak to us again". Their idea of a compromise is all one sided. They hide behind their Ts & Cs and have zero empathy with customers. STEER CLEAR, they are trouble! It is them who are unpleasant! Just look at all the bad reviews!

They were incredibly friendly and helpful and made the process as painless as possible. We would highly recommend them.

We just wanted to take this opportunity of thanking you all at Marina Life for looking after the property for all these years. We do not recall having any major issues with any of the tenants and when a problem did occur it was dealt with quickly and efficiently by yourselves. 24th Jun 2023 (9 mo. ago)I'm sure these must be fake reviews. They never invite you to the inventory before or after moving in. Emailed them with issues they missed out on their inventory like hole in walls and they said not to worry as it wouldn't affect my deposit. Never missed rent and around three years later when I hand in my notice, they try to deduct money from my depost for the same holes I was told not to worry about. I had to prove it as I luckily saved the emails. So they came back to me and pivoted their angle and now charging me for other things that were pre existing. Sent me photos of the property with no dates and not resembling anything near what the property looked like when I moved in. Currently waiting for the results of the dispute with the deposit scheme. Scammers beware renters!
