11th Jan 2024 (15 weeks ago)Not upfront and honest estate agents. People on the phone are friendly when you call but estate agents pretend they don't know details of the property and you don't get the full information on the ads. Viewed a property that was of a non standard construction but the agent didn't tell me and nor did the advert. I put an offer down, which got accepted until a friend told me they're near impossible to get a mortgage on. I called the agent and asked she said "oh I'm not sure, the home owners think it might be, but are also not sure", when it is. Told her I couldn't get a mortgage on that and got hit with "use our brokers, they'll get you one." I've since pulled my offer, the advert went back up and still hasn't been updated to say "non standard construction".
9th Apr 2024 (16 days ago)Reactive and unobtrusive agent.. I have previously been made to feel like a socond class citizen because I am not a home owner.. This is not the case with Northwood- 20th Dec 2023 (18 weeks ago)We purchased a house through Beals Estate agents, our journey started early November. We met Emily at the property, she was professional and offered really great tips, on the potential of the property etc. She was straight to the point on what the seller wanted, which put us in the best position. She rang the day after the viewing and we put our offer on the property! Emily was our go to, she was thorough and constantly requesting updates from us, the seller and the lawyers. The whole process will be done by early Jan, I want to say Emily being on the ball has really ensured for us to get through the interim period quicker than prev estate agents we have dealt with. Emily has been a pleasure to deal with, always has a smile, friendly and great communication! I couldn’t have had, a more positive experience and she is a credit to Beals. Thank you!

9th Apr 2024 (16 days ago)I wish I had never entertained them at all. I am now left waiting out a 20 week tie in, that I was never told about in the first instance and did not recieve the contract until it was too late to pull out. The house was over valued in the first instance and then spoiled any chance it had on the market. I had a total of 8 viewings across 8 weeks, which in this area is ridiculous, as this is a much sought after street/area. I lost all confidence in this company and am quite frankly disgusted by them. I would warn others to stay well away from them in the future, due to incompetence, dishonesty and lack of integrity

You have fully managed the house, garage and berth at Port Solent on behalf of the trustees for years and recently appraised and subsequent disposed of all three elements of the property to its new owners. You have acted with diligence and competence throughout the process and your firm is to be commended. A shout out especially to Maria, Mandy and Lisa who worked well together to produce the desired result.

25th Mar 2024 (4 weeks ago)The most rude experience i have ever had on the phone. After enquiring about a property, received a call and after one question the phone was put down and the call was ended without the question being answered.

All arrangements for a move into a rented flat had been done including booking removal firm, family taking time off work to help, new bed delivery arranged, deposit and first months rent paid up front, confirmation email from the office about move in date received and got a phone call from them at 5 pm 2 days before to say we couldn't move in that date now it would have to be the next day as they hadn't done the fire assessment. When we said about all the arrangements we had made were told ' well it's up to you, you can always find somewhere else it's your choice '... Just WOW!
10th Apr 2024 (15 days ago)I sold my house through Chapplins in Fareham. They were great from start to finish. Despite a difficult market my house was sold on the 3rd viewing. Chantelle in particular kept the process flowing smoothly liaising with the various parties. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.

6th Apr 2024 (19 days ago)Do not rent any property associated with Nexa especially if you are young!! We have had endless issues since renting through Nexa properties which they are still yet to acknowledge/resolve. These issues include damp within the property (black mould and mushrooms growing), leaking boiler, no hot water for days at a time, lack of security (windows that do not close), we were also without a shower for 3 months. If you are a young person they do not attempt to fix or resolve any issues you have until you threaten the council or not paying rent!
15th Feb 2024 (10 weeks ago)DO NOT USE THIS UNETHICAL COMPANY! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF! They took a deposit from my company, then changed the rules, forcing us to withdraw, and refused to give us our money back! They treat customers like enemies. They wouldn't even speak to us! STEER CLEAR! AWFUL STAFF, AWFUL OWNER, AWFUL COMPANY. The reply below is untrue. They knew it was a company let. I wasn't rude to staff. I just asked for a refund, so they said "don't speak to us again". Their idea of a compromise is all one sided. They hide behind their Ts & Cs and have zero empathy with customers. STEER CLEAR, they are trouble! It is them who are unpleasant! Just look at all the bad reviews!

The photography of our home was completed soon after instruction, and to a very high standard. As a result, and even in times of economic uncertainty and rising interest-rates, we had several viewings very early on. From day one, through to completion and beyond, communication was exceptional. We loved the personalised approach, where everything was dealt with professionally and timely. No waiting for letters, no lengthy emails – just quick and easy action. This took a lot of stress out of the moving process and ensured that we completed on both our sale and purchase in just 8 weeks. We’ll definitely be recommending Steve to others.

They gave excellent advice of what to price the property at in this market and did an excellent job at spreading the word that led to the sale. They also kept regular communication with myself and solitictors on both sides to ensure we made it through to completion. Would highly recommend!
