17th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.

Emily and her team were exceptional and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. It really does make all the difference to deal with consummate professionals! For the discerning buyer/seller - I would have no hesitation whatsoever in using Batcheller Monkhouse. ??????

2nd Apr 2026 (11 weeks ago)I let one of their employees cross the road in front of my car on Greyhound lane, SW16 yesterday. This guy decided to walk in the road, preventing me from driving and resulting in the lights turning red. This shows an arrogance and a lack of consideration for others. Don't sell your house with these (PROFANE LANGUAGE WAS CENSORED).

26th Mar 2026 (12 weeks ago)I used Marcus Grimes to sell my flat in Cuckfield, the whole process was smooth, professional and very well communicated. I’d highly recommend their services. I dealt with Abbie mostly who was absolutely fantastic, was on the ball just as much as me! Which really is something! I want things don’t yesterday in terms of paperwork…. If you’re looking for an agent, I wouldn’t hesitate on using Marcus Grimes. They make the stress of selling up that little bit easier. We loved the cards that house viewers filled in to give instant feedback when they looked around. Mark Revill were ambitious but realistic. I will use them again.

From the initial meeting with Rennick who found two perfect buyers a few days after our initial meeting to the rest of the team including Nancy and Sam who were always super efficient, professional and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. Shout out to Alex who was truly exceptional in smoothing things out during the gnarly conveyancing bits that all house sales experience and putting my mind at rest! Highly recommend this company.

It felt like she truly cared about us and the seller and she was always on hand to talk to us when we needed. 11th Jun 2026 (10 days ago)One Friday afternoon awaiting an exchange on a property purchase a last minute wall structure issue stopped everything. Nicholas Booker at Graves Jenkins had been recommended to me so I called him. After reviewing all of the technical specifications cross sections and calculations for the build, over the weekend, he called me on Monday morning to give an all clear. Kind. Courteous. Professional. Knowledgeable and a sense of humour. I was treated as though I was the companies most important client of many years standing! I can’t thank Nick enough.

The images to support my sale were some of the best I've ever seen, with additional video and drone images of the area. His narrative to describe my home was engaging not just a bland description of a room. He understood that you are not just selling a property but a lifestyle. I cannot rate him high enough.
