10th Sep 2026 (18 days ago)Very disappointed from the service provided you can't make it up. Went to view a property last Saturday, the estate agent couldn't open the door so we had to leave. Then the office sent us a text two days later asking if we liked the property. How can we like a property we were unable to enter and how do you not know this happened. So unprofessional clearly no communication and I think the worst part was no one apologised! So poor.

11th Sep 2025 (1 year ago)After deciding to move to a family plot, we engaged with Sworders, who we have used many times before, for planning advice for a replacement dwelling. After getting some initial stellar advice from Clare Hutchinson, I was introduced to Hazel Izod who had only recently joined Sworders. As a former planning officer, Hazel immediately gave me confidence with her very detailed knowledge of the planning policies and laws but also understands the perspective of the planning authority, therefore providing solid and balanced advice to achieve our aims. Hazel expertly guided us through the process, helping us to overcome obstacles, explain concepts and I felt truly brought into our vision, becoming a strategic partner with us on this very personal and important journey. Whilst others may be well versed in the policies Hazel can interpret them with a practical and pragmatic approach, ensuring all elements are considered (including taking the likely views of the planning officer into account). Our application was successful on the first submission, and I have no doubt that this was largely down to Hazel’s expertise and input. We have subsequently instructed Hazel on various other planning applications (or preparation work) and have had the same impressive and responsive service. With one application, for a car port, the application was initially turned down due to the land we proposed building on being considered “open Hertfordshire countryside”. Within days of the refusal, Hazel had prepared a detailed and comprehensive appeal for the application, and the refusal was overturned. I have recommended Hazel to everyone who has asked me who I would recommend for planning advice, and she is literally on my speed dial when anything planning related comes up.

She kept me fully informed at every stage, was always available when I needed her and worked incredibly hard on my behalf. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and I always felt that she genuinely cared about achieving the best possible outcome for me.<br><br>Lisa’s was honest and complete transparency. She was straightforward, realistic and always gave me honest advice, which gave me enormous confidence throughout what can otherwise be a very stressful process. I never felt that anything was being hidden or glossed over — I always knew exactly where I stood.<br><br>I genuinely felt that my house sale was in safe hands. 19th May 2026 (19 weeks ago)Awful experience. Lack of communication, lying to prospective buyers. Late and unprofessional with viewings, staged false viewings, just couldn’t be bothered. As for professional standards, brochure was a disaster of poor photos, false information, website never updated and a contract which equated to a scribbled mess if I’m honest. Altogether a dreadful experience that cost us both in time and financially. They admitted truth but no apology. Wish we had never trusted them. Maybe they have become too complacent and need to retire. All staff are incompetent and that comes from the top.

22nd Aug 2026 (5 weeks ago)We sounded like an easy customer: three bedroom house, nice garden, granny annex in highly sought-after location, on the market for the first time in 80 years. Fast-Forward three months and to everyone's horror, the house was built in 1909 using a method that no mortgage-lender would sell on. That would have been the cue for most estate agents to drop the client. Pottrill Holland stuck with us - suggesting transitioning to an auction, and staying with us through the entire process. Absolute integrity and commitment, we owe them everything.

Joshua was really well informed about the local area and had the perfect plan of action to find the right buyers, multiple offers and achieved over asking. The portal and updates for viewings worked well for us this was seamless. Jake was also great in giving us help when it came to navigating the offers and next steps. The team kept in touch throughout the progress of the sale and we felt like everything was kept on track. The team were all friendly and enthusiastic throughout which was much appreciated. Thank you!

7th Mar 2025 (1 year ago)I mainly dealt with mArie when I was selling my property. She was on time for appointments and kept me informed and up to date. It did take a while to eventually sell the property, this was probably due to interest rates and the property being bespoke
