After only 2 weeks on the market we secured a chain with four buyers but had a challenge with the start of the chain. This has taken several months and continual chasing by Paul Wallace to secure a success for all. We all finally moved yesterday and grateful thanks to all and highly recommend all at Paul Wallace, Hoddesdon.

12th May 2026 (12 days ago)Amazing experience! Agent: Sophie Copley was amazing throughout the starting process. She replied to emails quickly and helped us feel confident in what we were signing up for as first time private renters. It was a quick process and we were able to find an amazing house that fit our needs. Experience: Other organisations in Cambridge aren’t as attentive to what we were asking for, after a long wait of seeing houses that weren’t looked after well and the agents not enthusiastic, cheffins was a breath of fresh air. Clean house, clearly well looked after and ready to be viewed! Staff: They are kind and always looking to help even if it isn’t their property or duty to help with. I cannot recommend enough. Thank you ??????

22nd Jan 2026 (17 weeks ago)The whole team at Arkwright’s in Saffron Walden have been a joy to work with. From initial contact, to the sales details - including a very inventive video, made on the only rainy day for weeks and weeks with a ‘Singing in the rain’ sound track! l had several viewings in the first week and an agreed sale within around 2 weeks ( after having been with another agent for 4 months with no viewings at all) The whole process has been easy, efficient, profession, respectful and friendly. I would highly recommend them and especially if you have a slightly quirky property. Thanks to all.

Darren was spot on for the valuation and Lucy kept me proactively up to date throughout the process, including when a buyer unexpectedly pulled out, after which they gave maximum effort to secure another. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again although I hope we won't be moving for a while!

Megan McFarlane was incredibly helpful and assisted me throughout, from the initial enquiry right through to moving in. Communication was always prompt and professional. Highly recommend Abbotts and Megan in particular — a truly seamless letting experience.

8th Mar 2026 (11 weeks ago)When I moved in originally I gave a 5* review. Once they had my money they stopped communicating, wouldn’t do the things they said they would, passed blame around and never took accountability, did not follow their own policies when it came to repairs. It got to the point where we had to threaten legal action if they did not get the repairs done. Our landlord failed to provide enough keys and so we were told we had to pay to make copies ourselves. We had many issues with the property and Tucker Gardner was no help. They lied to us prior to signing the lease and went back on promises they had made. It has been over a month since we moved out and we still have not received our deposit. Communication is terrible at Tucker Gardner. I am truly disappointed that what started out as a great relationship quickly turned sour. Our landlord also had his own struggles with them not providing the services he was paying for. Don’t work with TG Lettings, they’re dishonest and they don’t care once they have your money.

From the very beginning, they were professional, attentive, and clearly committed to achieving the best outcome for us. The valuation process was thorough and well-explained, giving us great confidence in the pricing strategy. We were especially impressed by the extra time and care taken to present our home at its best — the photographs were beautifully done and truly captured all the unique features and details of the property. A special thank you to Blake, who handled the entire process seamlessly. He kept us informed at every step, explained everything clearly, and made what could have been a stressful experience feel smooth and manageable. Thanks to their expertise and dedication, our house was sold quickly — within just two months — and the entire journey through to handing over the keys was handled efficiently and professionally. We would highly recommend Intercounty Saffron Walden to anyone looking to sell their home.
15th Sep 2025 (8 mo. ago)We decided to use Sharman Quinney to sell our apartment in November 2024, however our experience was very disappointing, and not reflective of the positive reviews we had previously seen. It took them 15 days to get our advert up on Rightmove once photographs had been taken. Despite being promised our advert would be uploaded before Christmas, it was not uploaded until after Boxing Day. It included several mistakes (things we were not made aware of before it went live). We chased this numerous times, and although some issues were fixed, various issues with the advert still remained. After a month of no viewings and an advert that was never fully corrected, we cancelled our contract with them altogether (at no cost). We then decided to go with a private estate agent who uploaded our advert within 48 hours of photographs. The advert was exactly how we wanted it, and an offer was made on our first viewing, the day after it was put on Rightmove! We are now in our new house and so happy we made the decision to leave SQ. Everything happens for a reason I guess.

The team went above and beyond with supporting me, chasing solicitors and keeping the whole chain on track. Even the evening of my move they were there to support and correct things that should have been done by other professionals. We spoke regularly to Mike Bidwell who was our main contact and he was very proactive in trying to move the purchase along. Mike also went out of his way to resolve an issue after we'd moved into the property, which we are very thankful for.
