Already booked the day off so fuming at the complete dis regard of this outfit. Completely unprofessional and extremely arrogant in my opinion!!!! Lesson learned!!!

Extremely disappointing experience from start to finish.<br><br>The agency seemed to have a poor understanding of the local market, communication was consistently lacking, and the sale ultimately took over 10 months to complete.<br><br>From the beginning, I felt the property was poorly marketed. There also appeared to be a lack of transparency with prospective buyers regarding the fact that the property was realistically suited to cash buyers, which caused unnecessary delays and complications.<br><br>Communication was one of the biggest issues. There were numerous occasions when I tried calling and simply could not get through, and at times I found the attitude I received dismissive rather than helpful.<br><br>At one stage, I even found myself having to advise the agent on how the negotiations should be handled because there seemed to be very little urgency or effort being put into progressing the sale. Eventually, after having phone calls and emails not responded to, I contacted the manager that took over the case, which did improve things somewhat, but the overall service was still far below what I would expect from an estate agency handling the sale of a property. How can it take over a week and me practically begging to get a response to hear from an agency?<br><br>After more than 10 months, I came away extremely disappointed with the experience. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this agency to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, proactive and attentive agent who will actively work to sell their property, communicate consistently and make them feel that the sale is in capable hands. 3rd Jul 2026 (11 weeks ago)Arrived on time to give a valuation and informed us when the viewings were taking place.- 17th Jun 2026 (13 weeks ago)Dowen, Unprofessional estate agent.… I was very disappointed with Down estate agents, I booked a viewing for 1400hrs on the 17th June, at park road Hartlepool, and confirmed it with the agency, we waited for over 30 minutes for an agent to turn up, but no one did, I called their office and the lady said she's stuck in traffic she will be there shortly, we waited for a further 20 minutes, but no one turned up, I called the office again but this time no one answered, so I left a message, stating that if no one turns up in 5 minutes, we won't be bothering with the viewing, no one turned up, this company is so so so unprofessional, and I would not recommend anyone to do business with them, if they can't be bothered to turn up for a viewing of a property, then it says it all, It's that bad that I can't start rate them,

17th Apr 2026 (22 weeks ago)The valuation was great, the woman was lovely and photos were excellent. The communication stopped after a few weeks. The house was listed with 2 agents, when I did a viewing with the other party they said about how they'd tried to contact holbrooks and couldn't get through. I received a call about a viewing after no contact for weeks and told them the there had been an offer on the house and was sols stc, the woman rudely said you could have told us. I would have if there had been any contact! Overall wouldn't recommend them.

Carla is extremely good at her job, with advice and negotiation. I would recommend Hegarties at Houghton.

1st Sep 2026 (16 days ago)Great service would highly recommend them for selling tenanted properties specifically. Property sold in around 30 days and completion took place shortly after. Offloading another 2 properties with Let Properties now.

Cathryn and Shannon were brilliant from day one and always easy to get hold of whenever we needed anything.<br><br>We had a bit of a rollercoaster with two buyers falling through, but they kept at it and thankfully the third buyer completed a couple of weeks ago! They were great at keeping us updated and also helped chase things along when the solicitor was moving a bit slowly.<br><br>Thanks again to Cathryn and Shannon for all your help and for sticking with us through the ups and downs. Would definitely recommend!

25th Aug 2026 (23 days ago)I’ve just sold my house using Estates, and they were fantastic. The original sale fell through but Estates helped secure another buyer quickly. The whole team are so friendly and helpful. Special mention to Joy who was superb and always there for help and reassurance when things got a bit tricky at the end. Would 100% use Estates again if I was to move in the future, and am more than happy to recommend to anybody looking to sell!
