Did not listen to us about sale price, sent people who couldn’t afford the mortgage, poor quality feedback, not making appointments at requested times, even phoned 2 days after we had moved to see if we had exchanged!DO NOT USE THEIR AUCTION SERVICE!were on the verge of changing agents when we struck lucky thanks to Covid!

From the very beginning, the team was professional, approachable, and extremely supportive throughout the entire process. They took the time to understand what we were looking for and helped us find the right property for our needs. In addition to helping us secure the property, they also provided excellent support with arranging the mortgage and guided us through each stage of the purchase with clear communication and regular updates. Their knowledge, efficiency, and attention to detail made what can often be a stressful experience feel much smoother and more manageable. We truly appreciated the level of care and customer service provided throughout, and the thoughtful gift at the key handover was a lovely personal touch that made the experience even more memorable. We are very grateful for all their hard work and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy a property.

25th Jul 2018 (7 years ago)Honestly, if I could lower the stars any further, I would. These guys are absolutely terrible. They threatened my tenants with harassment, told me the property wasn’t damaged when it was (they hadn’t been to see it). They then tried to rent it damaged (severely) for four months before they rented it. The new tenants then informed me durectly about the damage and I had to get it fixed. they then ripped me off upon exit of contract due to their breach Every tenant I had complained about their service and poor communication. It took a month to find out the tenants were having issues at some points. Do not go with these guys as you just get ripped off, lose rental return and end up managing it yourself regardless. I have since had to take them to court for the losses.

From the very first interaction, they demonstrated professionalism at its absolute best. As first-time buyers who were completely new to the mortgage process, we honestly didn’t know where to begin but the team made everything so easy and stress-free for us. Right from the property search, they took the time to truly understand what we were looking for and guided us every step of the way. They didn’t just show us homes; they went above and beyond by helping us connect with trusted solicitors and mortgage advisers, which made the entire journey feel seamless and well-supported. What really stood out was their communication. We were kept in the loop throughout the entire process with regular updates, which gave us great peace of mind. It’s not easy buying a home in a new country, but Rachel and Andrea made us feel completely at ease. They were incredibly patient, answering all our questions (and we had many!), and never once made us feel like a burden. We truly appreciated their support during the negotiation stage they helped us agree on a price that worked for us, and we couldn’t be happier with both the house and the lovely area we now call home. She was knowledgeable,punctual ,a great communicator and efficient. I was extremely happy with Clare who throughout the process was always efficient ,friendly,supportive and conscientious .She replied to and resolved any queries promptly.The communication about viewings was very good and we were reminded about viewings the day before. I was very disappointed by the Sales Progressor who was difficult to speak to ,worked short hours and failed to contact us promptly causing difficulty and additional stress.

26th Oct 2024 (1 year ago)2 viewings one offer £40000 below asking price which was set by agent as realistic then they said it was probably too high. Also I take offence to their Facebook posts that state everything they touch turns to sold! When clearly it does not.

Absolutely recommend for any first time renters like myself that have been a bit nervous with getting things started. Super understanding and patient while still being reliable for any issues I've had along the way, couldn't be happier with them.

One phone call to Northgate made us feel completely confident that we were in good hands, Jess was our 'on the ground' contact, Gary sorted the IT nuts and bolts and the whole thing has been painless and a delight. Our previous experiences had not been good so I couldn't be happier to have found Northgate and the Billingham team.

I would definitely recommend the company.

After five long years of struggling to sell my flat, I had almost given up hope. It was a very complicated sale with many challenges, yet Kyle stepped in and did what no one else could. Within just a couple of weeks of taking professional photos and launching the property, he secured a strong offer and moved the process forward with impressive efficiency. Kyle is outstanding at what he does — not only professional and highly skilled, but also genuine, reliable, and honest. His communication was exceptional from day one. He was always available, kept me fully informed, and handled every obstacle with calm confidence and expertise. Most importantly, I felt I could truly trust him throughout the entire journey — and that is rare to find in this industry. He didn’t just sell my flat — he went above and beyond to make it happen, and I will always be grateful. 14th May 2026 (12 days ago)Speaking as a seller, the service from Harvey Brooks was professional and productive, in that a buyer was already on the books and looking for a house like ours. This was great. Selling can be a painful and frustrating business but HB managed to keep us informed and our buyer onboard over what proved to be a lengthier process than expected. There was neither a downward chain nor upward but various legal difficulties emerged in the sale of an 1850's property, which proved to be extremely time consuming. My advice, choose your solicitor carefully, with experience of old, but incomplete for the modern era, title deeds. A lot of common sense would help on both or more sides. But HB helped get our sale completed by regularly liaising with all parties and that is what mattered in the end.
