25th May 2023 (3 years ago)Arrogance at the highest level! Was informed 24 hrs prior that my valuation had to be moved as a staff meeting was more important. Already booked the day off so fuming at the complete dis regard of this outfit. Completely unprofessional and extremely arrogant in my opinion!!!! Lesson learned!!!
11th Oct 2026 (22 days ago)Recently moved into my first flat with my partner, Freya was very lovely she was an amazing help throughout the process and made everything go smoothly. 5 stars for her specifically!
23rd Sep 2026 (6 weeks ago)Excellent support throughout our purchase from Angela Brader. Angela really drove the process despite the numerous challenges presented and was stoic and professional throughout. Quality, and professionalism championed by the whole team.
18th Oct 2026 (15 days ago)I chose Stephensons because they are a long and well established Estate Agency with a good reputation. Although the sale was long and complicated due to circumstances over which nobody had control, the final result was achieved and everything went ahead smootly. The whole process was very professional from start to finish, Sue and Nathan were always available to clarify questions and I am glad that I stood by my decisión to have them handle everything. Thank you!
17th Aug 2022 (4 years ago)Frustrating at times, but got the job done. Would use a local agent next time instead of international.
20th Oct 2026 (13 days ago)Having rented a property managed by Nicholls Tyreman, I can confidently say that our experience with this company has been absolutely appalling.
Throughout our tenancy, we experienced repeated maintenance problems, including issues with shutters and blinds, hot water, a fly infestation and the upkeep of the grounds. Getting matters addressed was often a frustrating process involving repeated chasing.
Despite these issues, when it came to renewing our tenancy, we were faced with demands for a substantial rent increase and ultimately a Section 21 notice when we could not agree terms.
However, the worst part of our experience came when we vacated the property.
Having paid a significant deposit, Nicholls Tyreman sought to deduct an astonishing sum for redecoration, woodwork and for flooring.
It is remarkable how maintenance issues can be so difficult to resolve during a tenancy, yet when a tenant leaves, thousands of pounds of alleged remedial work suddenly becomes necessary.
The entire experience has left us with the impression that the interests of tenants come a very distant second.
I would strongly encourage anyone considering renting through Nicholls Tyreman to document absolutely everything, retain every email, photograph the property's condition and be extremely cautious when it comes to their deposit.
We have rented properties before and have never experienced anything quite like this.
In my opinion, the professionalism, fairness and standard of customer service have been completely unacceptable.
I would never use Nicholls Tyreman again and would strongly advise prospective tenants to consider other agents.
One star is one too many.
27th Oct 2026 (6 days ago)From the very start Jade at Naish was fantastic and offered such a great personal service and fantastic communication, so flexible to help book viewings and appointments so I could have access with her for workman to price up for future works on the house I was buying through them. Super friendly, great property knowledge and just a really great professional experience dealing with her and colleagues through the whole buying experience- Thanks so much!
12th Nov 2025 (11 mo. ago)Good service and very efficient !
31st Aug 2026 (9 weeks ago)The Sales Team (Stephanie, Bethany and Imogen) have been extremely helpful and efficient in facilitating the recent sale of my flat. Nothing has been too much trouble for them. I would highly recommend them.
8th Oct 2026 (25 days ago)Spoke to a lovely young lad called Finley who hosted a viewing for us. Unfortunately this property was not for us, however the service provided was extremely kind, useful and friendly.
27th Oct 2026 (6 days ago)Patrick was very professional, helpful and polite
10th Oct 2026 (23 days ago)Thank you to Xenia for securing our new property & the wider team across the branches who helped us throughout the process of securing our new rental. Very easy to deal with, straightforward & simple process from start to finish.

Also, extra thanks to Xenia for sorting some snagging issues within the first few weeks of us moving in!

Callum, Anna, Olivia & bump ??????
5th Sep 2026 (8 weeks ago)?????

Really impressed with the service from Cundalls. 24th Jul 2026 (14 weeks ago)We don’t often leave reviews, but on this occasion we felt it was an absolute must. From our very first viewing right through to completion, our experience with Roundthwaite & Woodhead has been first class. We had the pleasure of dealing with Sue Pearson throughout the entire process, and she was simply outstanding. She was friendly, knowledgeable, professional and couldn’t have done more to help us every step of the way. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble, and she made what can often be a stressful process feel straightforward and enjoyable. What impressed us even more was that Sue took the time to check in with us after completion to make sure we were settled and happy with our purchase. That level of care and customer service is becoming increasingly rare and was very much appreciated. Having bought many properties over the years, we’ve dealt with numerous estate agents, but Roundthwaite & Woodhead have genuinely outshone them all. Their professionalism, communication and personal approach have been exceptional from start to finish. We would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Roundthwaite & Woodhead to anyone looking to buy, sell or let property in Ryedale and the surrounding areas. Thank you once again to Sue and the whole team.- 12th Jun 2026 (20 weeks ago)What a great team!!! Friendly, supportive and professional always prompt to respond to phone calls and emails. I would definitely recommend.
6th Oct 2026 (27 days ago)We couldn’t recommend Your Move more highly! They have been brilliant from valuation to completion. The initial valuation was informative, honest and collaborative, and helped us figure out the best asking price for the current market. When we moved forward, we were impressed with the photos, communication and prompt booking of viewings. We received timely feedback after each viewing, and everything was arranged with no hassle. When offers came in, the team helped us communicate with interested buyers and get the best possible price.

Sam in particular has been fantastic throughout. He supported us through viewings, discussions about offers and any queries that came up during the sale. He kept us updated regularly and was happy to chase solicitors and others to keep the process moving through to exchange and completion. Having a WhatsApp group was great too, as we had direct contact with Sam throughout.

Your Move helped make the process as stress free as possible, and we’re really happy we went with them!
EweMove Sales & Lettings - York
1st Floor, Kensington House, York Business Park, Nether Poppleton, York, YO26 6RW(240 reviews)
26th Oct 2026 (7 days ago)A friend recommended EweMove after we’d had bad experiences with two other estate agents in York. Daisy Ellison at EweMove took on our apartment listing and found a buyer within a month. Daisy — along with Alex Irwin — managed every aspect of the sale, from viewings right through to completion, and we couldn’t have been happier. They were both an absolute delight to work with.

We’ve bought and sold many homes over the years, mostly in America, and this was the first time we genuinely felt like the estate agents were on our side. The biggest difference was that Daisy took full responsibility for the sale and handled everything personally. In our previous experiences, there were too many people involved and nobody seemed committed.

We hope not to be buying or selling again anytime soon, but if we do, Daisy will be the first person we call. Highly recommended.
20th Oct 2026 (13 days ago)Professional
I recently purchased a property through carter jonas and dealt primarily with Tony write, from the initial first conversation Tony was extremely helpful dealing with a property that wasn’t always completely straightforward but he was so professional and knowledgeable about the property and the issues regarding the purchase.
Tony was on hand throughout the process supporting us with solicitor questions and keeping us updated throughout, which made such a difference to us as buyers.
Thank you Tony you did a fantastic job.
7th Oct 2026 (26 days ago)Great team!

6th Oct 2026 (27 days ago)All went smoothly and efficiently. The whole family was happy.
4th Jun 2026 (22 weeks ago)I was very impressed with the whole service from the initial consultation right through to the support provided by the after-sales team. From the very beginning, everyone took the time to explain the process clearly, answer any questions I had, and make me feel completely at ease. The entire team was highly professional, knowledgeable, and efficient, yet always approachable and genuinely friendly. Selling a home can often be a stressful experience, but they made the whole process smooth and straightforward. Communication was excellent throughout, and I always felt well informed and supported at every stage. Nothing seemed too much trouble, and their commitment to providing outstanding customer service really stood out. I am extremely pleased with the experience and would certainly recommend them to anyone considering selling their home. Their combination of professionalism, expertise, and personal service made all the difference, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.
