20th Oct 2024 (12 weeks ago)John and his team are an amazing bunch of professionals! They guide us through a difficult process of decision making. Everybody involved shared their in-depth knowledge of the area and sale process. That allowed us to make all the right decisions. Due to the situation we were in, the sale process was lengthy. None of that made Horton & Garton team work any less. First sale fell through (due to circumstances out of our control). The Team found the second buyer promptly. House was sold for almost 12% more than the first buyer’s offer and almost 19% more than the asking price! Tremendous success! Outcome: Happy buyers, happy sellers and the Team has moved on with a smile ;)Highly recommend agents! If you hesitate… DON’T! Thank you John, Thank you Louise, Thank you Team

21st Oct 2024 (12 weeks ago)Review relates to property management and their dubious billing / service charge practice. Willmott's charged almost 3 times more for building insurance - when I asked they conveniently mention its the best price their broker managed to find yet i was able to get a like for like policy on open market for £11k less. Standard cleaning charges ~ £50 per hour, bogus charges eg removal of fire extinguishers that had already been removed a year before, £130 for placing no smoking sign, sending out contractors for a job that was not done properly in the first instances and then charging residents multiple times in the space of a year for the same job... an incompetent staff that changes the colour of your own front door without even asking for your consent presumably to drive up invoicing/extra management fees ... the list goes on. Strongly urge anyone that has Willmott's as their managing agents to look closely at your itemised service charge bills to avoid being over charged

Throughout the viewing he was very chatty and relaxed, allowing us the time we wanted to explore the property in order for us to see if it would be right for us. Prior to the viewing, communication was good. I did not proceed with the property as it wasn't the perfect fit, but would be happy to work with him again and view other properties.

They were accommodating of our requests and have put in plenty of effort to sell our house. We are very pleased with the service we received. 24th Oct 2024 (12 weeks ago)I had a terrible experience with this letting agency. My stepdaughter and her friends rented a student property, and throughout their tenancy, maintenance issues were completely ignored. The agency was impossible to get hold of, leaving the property in poor condition for months. At the end of the tenancy, they unjustly withheld the deposit, forcing the girls to go through the Deposit Protection Scheme to get it back. Thankfully, the scheme sided with them today, but it makes me wonder how many other students this agency is exploiting, hoping they won't fight back. Avoid at all costs!
25th Nov 2024 (7 weeks ago)I bought my home using MiHomes, Pio was the agent who dealt with me purchase, and I couldn’t recommend him enough, I was so happy with all aspects, in particular his efficacy so as I could move in within my tight timeframe. He’s also a lovely person to deal with, which took some of the stress off what is otherwise considered a very stressful process. Thanks Pio!
