When first putting the property on the market he kept me informed and the same during the viewing. If there was more than 5 stars you would have got them Thankyou very much

5th Nov 2022 (3 years ago)My wife and I had the pleasure of engaging Sam Tomlinson as our selling agent for our property in Maidenhead, Berkshire, United Kingdom. Before we engaged Sam, we had sought out many other realtors in the area - even some of the big national brands. Unfortunately, the majority of them were unprofessional & tardy and there were some even to point of non responsiveness and or over commitments that simply were not attainable. From the time we first engaged Sam right until to the point when we closed the sale of the house, Sam exemplified expertise and professionalism to the core. The entire selling process went so smoothly despite Sam being in Maidenhead in the UK, and my wife and I were between California and Dubai. All our meetings were professional and highly productive albeit they being virtual. Sam was extremely courteous, highly responsive and very knowledgeable and advised us every step of the way. Despite Sam having to be away for a week, all matters pertaining to the sale was handled by another colleague without any disruption to the selling process. Sam’s professional advise on the indicative selling price, to his recommendations for re painting our house to fixing the electrical fixtures all led to a quick sale of our property at our expected selling price. We sold the house within less than a month of open viewings and closed the transaction within 2 months. The amazing this was this was all accomplished in an era where house prices were dropping and interest rates skyrocketing. Therefore it gives me great pleasure in recommending Sam Tomlinson and the good folks at Braxton for any real estate services in Maidenhead. Braxtons and Sam has my utmost confidence!

By far the most helpful, friendly and efficient were David Tate. Sylwia in the Goring office was very attentive and when we found the right property she guided us through the tenancy and referencing process. She was communicative and positive. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her and her colleagues.
8th Aug 2026 (6 weeks ago)Very disappointing experience and serious concerns about transparency.<br>We applied to rent 1 Compton Manor while arranging an international move. We were accepted as tenants, paid a holding deposit, received a draft tenancy agreement and underwent referencing and credit checks.<br>We were then informed that the owner had agreed to sell the property and our tenancy would not proceed. We subsequently discovered that the property had been marketed for sale by Warmingham only 1 month before it was advertised to let.<br>We made a formal complaint because neither of us had understood that the property we were applying to rent was actively for sale. Warmingham later stated that their agent recalled verbally telling us this during the viewing. This is completely inconsistent with our recollection: we clearly remember being told that the neighbours property within the six-home development was vacant and for sale, not 1 Compton Manor.<br>After we disputed Warmingham's account in writing, we received no further response or final outcome to our formal complaint.<br>Had we known the property was actively for sale, it would have materially affected our decision to proceed with the deposit, referencing and credit checks.<br>Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Warmingham. We believe the property's dual sale/rental status should have been made absolutely clear before we were asked to commit to the rental process.<br>Prospective tenants are looking for stable homes and often have little room for uncertainty once they begin committing money, time and personal information to a property. In our view, allowing tenants to progress this far without making the risk of an ongoing sale unmistakably clear takes unfair advantage of that imbalance and falls well short of the transparency we would expect from a professional estate agent.
20th Aug 2026 (28 days ago)I first met Marc in 2004 when I bought my first property in the area, and since then I’ve bought, sold and let properties with him and the team.<br><br>The fact that Marc is still my go-to for anything property-related speaks volumes about how much I value his expertise, professionalism and knowledge of the market.<br><br>I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Marc and his team, and I do so frequently!

20th Aug 2026 (28 days ago)I had a really positive experience with Bridges Estate Agents in Caversham and would happily recommend them to anyone looking to sell their property.<br><br>From the initial valuation through to completion, the whole team were professional, knowledgeable and easy to deal with. They clearly know the Caversham market extremely well and gave sensible, realistic advice throughout rather than simply telling us what we wanted to hear.<br><br>The marketing of the property was excellent, with great photos and a well-presented listing, and they were proactive in arranging and managing viewings. Communication was also very good — we were kept updated with feedback, interest from potential buyers and any developments with the sale.<br><br>Once we had accepted an offer, they continued to be heavily involved rather than disappearing after the sale was agreed. They helped keep the chain moving, regularly chased solicitors and other parties where necessary, and kept us informed right through to exchange and completion. This made what can be quite a stressful process feel much more manageable.<br><br>Everyone we dealt with was friendly, responsive and professional, and it genuinely felt like they cared about getting the best outcome for us rather than simply getting the property sold as quickly as possible.<br><br>A great local estate agent and an excellent service from start to finish. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Bridges Caversham again.

8th Apr 2026 (23 weeks ago)Extremely disappointing experience with Adams Estates. The checkout process felt unfair and heavily biased against the tenant. Many items listed in the report were inaccurate or related to normal wear and tear after two years of living in the property. Some conditions mentioned, such as mould, marks, and general ageing, were already present when I moved in, yet they were still included as issues at checkout. There were also claims about missing items that were actually present, which makes it hard to trust the accuracy of the inspection. The property was not newly renovated when I moved in, but the expectations at checkout felt unrealistic. I am willing to pay reasonable charges where genuinely justified, but the overall handling of this situation has seriously affected my trust in this agency.

They were incredibly helpful and supportive, and also put me in touch with some great contacts to help with my property needs.<br><br>A special mention to Conor, who went above and beyond. After hearing that we had sadly lost our dog, he even gave us a thoughtful gift in sympathy, which was such a kind and personal gesture that we really appreciated.<br><br>Fantastic service, genuinely caring people, and a great experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend Carr Williams to anyone looking for support with their property search!

Always dealt with any issues straight away. Being a tenant with Henwick was easier than being a homeowner because I never had to worry about anything. They just sorted everything out for me. Thank you guys!

No question was ever too much, and they really felt like allies in what can be quite a lengthy and stressful process. We couldn't recommend them more highly.
28th Aug 2026 (20 days ago)Five stars – patient and tenacious<br><br>We accepted an offer on our property and finally completed six months later. The delay wasn't down to our agent, Stuart Lawson at Lawsons. It came from problems in the chain below us, which was consistently slow and disorganised, and turned what should have been a simple sale into a farce.<br><br>Despite that, Stuart stuck with it. He chased every party in the chain, week after week, and kept us informed even when things were convoluted for no reason. He never let the sale drift or lose momentum. It would have been easy for progress to stall completely given how things were moving elsewhere in the chain, but he kept pushing until we got there.<br><br>If you want an agent who treats a sale as their job to see through, not just to list and forget, Stuart Lawson at Lawsons is who I'd recommend.

17th Nov 2025 (9 mo. ago)They did what they said they would do. A few teething problems at the start, but once these were ironed out, they have absolutely delivered in selling our house at asking price no less. I would highly recommend Bridges estate agents whether, buying, selling or renting.
