I had a property viewing confirmed by phone and email, but when I arrived at the property, the agency cancelled the appointment at the last minute. They gave inconsistent reasons for the cancellation, which was frustrating and disrespectful of my time. As someone actively looking for a place to rent, I expect basic professionalism and proper communication. Unfortunately, this experience showed the opposite.
10th Sep 2025 (6 mo. ago)Adam and his team at Walkers recently sold my mother-in-law’s house. Their expert advice, particularly when the initial sale chain fell through, enabled us to quickly find another buyer and complete the process without any further issues. Everyone at the office was courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable, and they always replied promptly to our queries and phone calls. I would highly recommend Walkers and would not hesitate to use their services again.
22nd Mar 2026 (13 days ago)I had the pleasure of instructing Steve for the sale of my property. From bringing around qualified potential buyers for viewing (as opposed to a constant string of non-viablw options) to ensuring the parties are all appraised of ongoings and the transaction ticking along. Unfortunately for a variety of reasons the sale took longer than the parties hoped, but Steve made sure that things progressed wherever possible and with all necessary information, always responsive and happy to assist. I am so grateful for having been recommended Steve and understand the total faith in him. Would have zero hesitation recommending him in future. Thank you, Steve!

She kept me updated during the whole process and went above and beyond to keep everything on track, nothing was too much trouble and she was very easy to stay in touch with. Amie’s customer service, professionalism and attention to detail was outstanding which in this day and age is a breath of fresh air and an asset to both Park Lane and its clients.
14th Oct 2025 (25 weeks ago)WARNING to all rental tenants. Beware! This company do not vet their landlords or care for tenants welfare, I’d strongly advise you steer clear. They lumbered me with a psychotic landlord, and Instead of dealing with their own dispute with her, left me to deal with an ugly situation they caused in the first place. The episode caused me untold distress and cost me a fortune. I had to move out just to get away from an unhinged landlord, and Portico didn't step in to help me with any of it. I spoke to the so-called 'manager' about it and all he cared about was grabbing a tidy profit from the situation. Even the staff said the landlord was 'trouble' but i'm the one that took the hit. Bad people, bad company, don't grace them with your custom, save yourself and go elsewhere.
6th Mar 2026 (29 days ago)We have been tenants of a property managed by Cheffins Newmarket for almost 8 years. From the beginning until the end, it has been a flawless experience. Always very responsive, professional, and understanding. I've been asked to provide feedback on an area where they can improve, but I really struggle to think of anything. I strongly recommend this agency. If you take care of the property, there will be no issues.

24th Mar 2026 (11 days ago)We have recently sold our property with Douglas Allen Billericay. We had Lucy as our sales advisor. Lucy was professional, friendly and excelled with her communication. Lucy was very informative when booking viewings and made sure to book viewings for days/times suitable for us as a family. Lucy would always contact us to confirm dates/times before confirming with viewers and was organised before attending viewings at our property. Thank you Lucy!

They are still the same bunch of people who will try to rip you off on every single occasion. Please avoid at all cost. There are plenty good agencies out there

15th Aug 2024 (1 year ago)Didn't respond to our emails, allowed us to advertise for six months without telling us we needed an energy certificate which could've resulted in us being fined, took 6 months for our property to be removed from their books despite giving the agreed 14 days notice, didn't tell us the property we had purchased stc had been sold to someone else.

27th Mar 2026 (8 days ago)THE RUDEST ESTATE AGENT I HAVE EVER COME ACCROSS IN MY LIFE! Usually you would expect to be welcomed to to a property you are looking to buy, invited to park on the drive so you can see what it would be like to live there. Not Claudia Romano, who arrives 1 minute before the appointment, shouting out of her car door, "I'M THE ESTATE AGENT SO I GET TO PARK THERE!". And then, once we have driven around and finally found somewhere to park, has the cheek to tell us that we're late and we will not have a full appointment - when we were there first! Prospective sellers - avoid at all costs!!!

She has been a life saver throughout this entire buying and selling process and would not want to go through this process again without an agent like her! She’s always there to pic up a call and give reassurance. The support and time she has given us has been amazing. Our exchange would not have happened when it did if she hadn’t been as driven as she is and got this across the line. She honestly deserve a pay rise/ promotion and I would absolute recommend anyone to try and have her as their sales progressor. Thank you so much Amy.
