17th Jan 2025 (4 weeks ago)I feel very let down by this company, My daughter's went to view an apartment for us, to see if it was worth our 2 and a half drive viewing, they said it was ok, so we went to see it and showed our interest only to be told there was a offer for asking price, we upped our offer but then was told it had been sold! Before giving us a chance to up our previous offer. Devastated.

15th Feb 2022 (3 years ago)Very bad experience: They could not provide me a single suggestion in almost one month despite the fact that I was ready to pay up to £1250. Although, they put me under great stress and made me believe that I can’t get any house below £1200 and can’t get less than 2 bedroom for family with a baby. It is because of them I did not search for less than 2 bedroom property for a long, assuming I can’t get that, which was incorrect. Every time, I called them they said it is not in their area and they will send my details to other office. Once, I spent around 4-5 hours to fill a form to apply for a property whose result they never shared with me. I expressed my interest to view many properties but mostly I did not get a response because they already had many applications for that property. Feedback for the agent to improve: 1.First, be transparent and responsive to the customers. If there are many applications for some property then convey that to the customers instead of keeping quite. Reply each email/call. 2.You have multiple offices in Oxford and you have advantage so use that to help the customers and not for torturing them. There is no communication (at least customer oriented) between your different branches. Your people just pass responsibility to other branches. For example, I called several times to show interest in some property then I was told that that property is not in their area. First, they should help the customers instead of passing on the things. Secondly, give the customer options available with you (customer might get interested in property available with you) instead of getting rid of them.

19th Jul 2024 (6 mo. ago)Due to the continued incompetence of this branches' sales manager, we were not able to purchase a home that we were making offers on, even when our offer was increased to the asking price, we had already secured a buyer for our own home and we had an AIP in place. However, due to this, we ended buying a house which is incomparably nicer than the one we tried to buy from Chancellors so it all worked quite nicely in the end. And that's why they get 2 stars instead of 1.

I would not only recommend Breckon and Breckon but we will absolutely use them again if we move.- 11th Feb 2022 (3 years ago)The flat we are renting is riddled with black mould and damp and Breckon have taken over a year to take action, incredibly slow service and they are now refusing to help us. Completely incompetent

It’s been a an incredibly easy experience for us to buy and sell property with Martyn Cox, I would highly recommend them due to their commendable service and attention to customer detail throughout our property journey. We were kept up to date through the entire process from start to finish without ever asking and the team are fantastic to deal with. We will be using you again without hesitation, thank you all!
24th Jan 2025 (24 days ago)One of the best estate agent fee rates, the valuations was conservative but flexible and our offer feel straight in the middle. Some offered way higher and it would have been unachievable. We were on the market and sold in a fortnight.
5th Feb 2025 (12 days ago)Classic estate agent attitude of can't be assed. I live 3 hours away and whilst I would gladly travel to view a property I still want to see some basic photo's of the property. The property in question had no photo's of the 2nd or 3rd floor. I wanted to see the condition before travelling to view. As a developer I want to get an idea of the job before I potentially waste a 6 hour round trip... basic sales skills and in need of customer service training. Have a think if sales is job you want to do as it didn't seem like it on the phone. Argumentative and condescending attitude. Another estate agent that has forgotten a property needs to be sold!

22nd Jan 2025 (26 days ago)Hunters provide a good service for tenants, they have been professional and quick to answer any questions that I have had regarding details with the property. They have also been quick to deal with issues with the property and have sent someone round to sort the issue within a couple of days. I would reccomend Hunters to other students who are looking for places to stay, whilst they are studying.
3rd Feb 2025 (14 days ago)We sold our house with Strutt and Parker super-quickly, with the minimum amount of fuss. Emily Williams is highly efficient and professional, and ensured that the whole process of selling was stress free. It also helps that she is a delightful person! I highly recommend her and the Banbury office.
5th Feb 2025 (12 days ago)I used Turner Properties to sell my house and I couldn’t fault their service. I was very wary of estate agents in general as you meet so many who promise you the world and don’t deliver. Jeremy came to the house, was very realistic about the pricing and the time it may take. He did most of the viewings himself which helped as he knew the house and its possibilities. He knows the area well which, again, was very useful particularly for the potential buyers. He kept in regular contact and always got back to me in a timely manner. He took me through the whole process of selling as I had not done it on my own before. I’m sure I asked lots of silly questions but he answered them all without making me feel an idiot! I would highly recommend them, they made a potentially stressful process as easy as it could be. 13th Jun 2023 (1 year ago)Hathaways took over management of our Oxford property in April this year, and so far have been a breath of fresh air - it's great to be working again with a family concern, and to feel that they care about us and our tenants. The only issue we had was that some documents were rather unclear, but they responded promptly to my feedback and updated the docs to fix this. Service has been friendly and efficient.
