8th Sep 2026 (9 days ago)I'm taking the time to edit this here, as I said to the assistant letting manager today after chatting about the earlier review.<br><br>Update: It was good to meet in person and get clarification.<br><br>To add some context, I went to the agency to receive some support, and as I entered the office, I asked for the assistant letting manager as they were involved in our Tenant Switch process. The person in question was super helpful explaining the concept of group of landlords, which can sometimes make the process a little longer - that is something I completely understand now. Thank you.<br><br>Finally, the assistant letting manager after supporting me, asked me about the one-star review I had left (see below) and took the time to explain to me they were on annual leave and hadn't been told about the calls received from us.<br><br>They really tried to get to the bottom of this and to understand who had tried to direct us in the meantime. I apologized for our lack of awareness and actually felt sorry that they had to come back to these more emotionally-charged requests, when it was actually the admin team process that took a very long time to handle everything.<br><br>The conclusion is that we are back on track with a reliable person who showed great patience and care to keep us happy and feel respected and heard :) I'm leaving this new score even not a high one for how the episode had been handled when the person was on annual leave and "callbacks before eod" that were overpromised by others (when it wasn't actually possible). It was much better to have full transparency, thank you and all the best!<br><br>First review:<br><br>After no reply and us chasing for a month and not getting callbacks when we were told we would ( 7 times ), we get the most unapologetic email back from assistant lettings manager. It just makes one feel treated like dogs who are begging for the simplest professional treatment. I had to insist and insist on one last phone call to say how worried we were, and that we didn’t mind coming to the branch in person if it helped, in order to be taken seriously.<br><br>We really hope that other SF tenants who have been put in the hands of the assistant letting manager in question will receive better and more humane support.

1st Sep 2026 (16 days ago)Outstanding is the only word I can use with regards to my experience of Carter Jonas. From the moment of registering and applying to view properties, their service has been perferctly coordinated, communicated and executed. From prompt responses to requests done on-line which most Agents appear to ignore, to keeping you informed and actually trying to work for you, Carter Jonas professionalism in today's market makes them top leaders in my opinion.<br><br>I would like to personally thank Jenna Bugler, for prompt responce, progress with requests, viewings, documentation and backgroungs checks help. We had the most difficult case of financial checks approach for Ukrainian refugees that escaped from the war zone, and Jennas approach was quick, professional and very helpful. I am very thankful for all effort, help and willingness to go an extra mile with their customers.<br><br>We also have Billy who is looking after us and helping with any issues that sometimes appeat in the house. I cannot thank her enough for coordinating and finding right people in the short period of time to deal with any type of emergencies or issues.<br><br>Thank you team!
19th Aug 2026 (29 days ago)I previously used this agency to rent a property in London, so when my husband later decided to sell the house in Henley, I was happy to use them again. The agency and a particular agent were recommended to us, and the process started relatively well. My husband’s application was accepted, and all the agents from the Henley office came to view the house.<br>Unfortunately, once a buyer was found, the whole experience changed. The team seemed to switch their attention entirely to the buyer and completely forgot about us — the people actually selling the property and, of course, paying their fees.<br>It was extremely frustrating. Our emails were often ignored, getting through to someone by phone was difficult, and we regularly had to go into the office simply to remind them that we were still there and needed updates.<br>We did everything we could to make the sale as easy as possible for the buyers. We moved out within a very short timeframe and even left them the washing machine, tumble dryer and various other items as a gesture of goodwill like expensive wooden blind and shutters. Despite this, we often felt that the agents were speaking to us as if we were children rather than their clients — the people paying their commission.<br>The buyers seemed to make one request after another, and the agents showed enormous interest in accommodating them, while speaking to us in a dismissive and sometimes rather disrespectful way. At times, it felt as though our needs and circumstances simply didn't matter.<br>Overall, it was a very useful experience in terms of learning what to expect from an estate agent, but it was also extremely stressful. We were genuinely disappointed by the agency and, most of all, by the way we were treated once the buyer had been found.<br>I would strongly recommend that the agency remembers that a successful sale involves two sides, and both deserve the same level of communication, professionalism and respect.
2nd Sep 2026 (15 days ago)We had a fantastic experience with Parker’s in Chinnor and couldn’t recommend them highly enough.<br><br>Charlie Lowe was absolutely brilliant throughout the entire process. He always seemed to know exactly what was going on at any given moment, kept us informed, and was incredibly quick to deliver on anything he said he would do. We never felt like we needed to chase him for an update, which made such a difference during what can otherwise be a stressful process.<br><br>Charlie genuinely went above and beyond the remit of his role to help keep everything moving and make sure we got to completion. His communication, professionalism and willingness to help were outstanding from start to finish.<br><br>Jayson Wicks also deserves a special mention for his support throughout the process and for helping everything come together.<br><br>A huge thank you to Charlie, Jayson and the team at Parker’s Chinnor. We’re incredibly grateful for everything you did to help us get the keys to our first home. Would absolutely recommend!

The landlord and the agents, Briony and Sulayman, were honestly great throughout the whole process. They communicated with us really well, always kept us updated and made sure we received all the documents we needed on time, which made moving in so much easier and stress-free.<br><br>We also love the area! There are so many convenient shops nearby with pretty much everything we need, so we don’t have to travel far at all. 27th Aug 2026 (21 days ago)Having just sold our property through Thomas Merrifield’s Didcot branch, I think a five-star review is thoroughly deserved.<br><br>Ours was a less-than-straightforward transaction and took rather a long time to complete, through absolutely no fault of Thomas Merrifield. Throughout the process, we spoke with various members of the team, all of whom were understanding, helpful and willing to pick things up when needed, particularly during periods of holiday and leave.<br><br>I must specifically thank Jamie and Nick for all their hard work throughout. Without their persistence and involvement, I genuinely think the transaction may not have happened at all.<br><br>Jamie in particular was exceptionally hardworking and simply would not let a sub-standard conveyancer get away with poor work (nothing to do with Thomas Merrifield or ourselves, I should add!). He chased tenaciously, kept the pressure on and did everything he could to keep things moving.<br><br>A huge thank you to Jamie, Nick and the wider Didcot team (Jenny, James to name a few!) for getting what was at times a very frustrating transaction over the line. Very much appreciated and highly recommended.
