Jane, Emily and Bev have gone above and beyond to ensure that the tenancy has been successful. We have had excellent service.
5th Oct 2024 (4 days ago)Unfortunately I wasn't happy with the sales approach given by chancellors in my purchase through them. It consisted of sales bulls..t, which was intensely irritating, an inaccurate representation of the property freehold status which caused big delays, followed by oppressive, devisive communications. Not all bad of course, because the team were helpful when help was needed, to get this purchase secured.
28th Aug 2024 (6 weeks ago)They're your best friends during the tenancy application. Once you've signed and paid your deposit they'll ignore your emails and promise to call you back but never will. It's been 6 weeks that I've been requesting repairs including a broken window that doesn't close, wardrobe doors that are fully detached, broken blinds, marks and holes in the walls.. the list goes on. These are all since the first day I moved in. You can just tell they're saying everything you want to hear over the phone just to end the conversation, then you never hear back. They just don't care passed signing your agreement, take my word.- 3rd Sep 2024 (5 weeks ago)[EDITED]: from one star to two, after they re-checked our case, admitted there was an error in the background check and refunded the fees. Thanks for that, and we really appreciated being finally heard. The score stays a two though as what happened and how it happened stays the same: we didn't get a house we were qualified for, and felt under accusation the whole time. I don't wish this experience to anyone under the stress of looking for a new house. -------------------------------- ORIGINAL -------------------------------- I’ve been renting several places since I’ve been in the UK (10 years), and Chancellors, particularly this agency, has been by far the worst experience I have ever had. After having our offer accepted and during the background checks, we had some delays on my partner’s side due to unforeseen circumstances (a loss and political turmoil in her home country). Despite having 3 months (!) before the beginning of the tenancy, we were pushed beyond reason to hurry her incomplete checks, since my side would have granted sufficient guarantee. Then, they changed their mind and refused to acknowledge the income that their own background check agency guaranteed on my side. They canceled the contract and made us pay fees, accusing us of providing misleading information. Reading other reviews, I now understand we dodged a bullet, and we are happy to pay these fees and not be bound to such a disgrace of a team.

Sales team rubbish My preference was to sell my property however it is currently on rent via a Different agent I emailed both divisions. Lettings sent through terms and had an offer after 1 day of viewings. Sales team I have chased three times as they havnt even bothered sending terms! Needless to say I have now found another agent - guess they do not need the business!

It was a smooth transaction from start to finish, we were kept constantly updated with the progress of the sale with useful feedback on every viewing and great service provided liaising with both parties solicitors to progress the sale.
