3rd Feb 2026 (15 weeks ago)We rented a property in Chingford from 1 February 2026 through Claremont Estates. Zak and Mafiz acted as a great bridge between us, the landlord, and Goodlord. The entire end-to-end process was smooth, efficient, and well explained step by step. The property was professionally cleaned and met a high standard. Everything was handled properly, and we are very satisfied with the experience.

Everyone I've spoken to who has dealt with them has had the worst experiences they've ever had renting. Imagine an estate agent actively trying to undermine and overcharge you at every corner while talking down to you and deliberately flouting the meagre renters rights we have in this country. Lottie and Valerija in particular offer some deeply, concerningly poor "customer service".

Thanks Payne&Co and specifically Imran for going beyond his responsibilties in the process! Must recommended from the a buyers perspective, they are very transparent, professional and on top their work!

10th May 2026 (11 days ago)My initial experience with Aspire/Alexander Seymour was very positive; Chris and Zoey were responsive, friendly, and thorough in answering my questions. After a difficult experience with a previous agency, I was encouraged by their energy and dedication. However, as the process progressed, I found myself caught in a difficult position between the agents and my solicitor. It only became clear very late in the transaction that, despite my situation being "no chain without a deadline," agents on both sides had established a firm deadline. This created a significant amount of avoidable stress and required a disproportionate amount of my time to manage. The situation peaked when it was discovered that my buyer had not transferred funds to their solicitor by the planned exchange date. As Zoey was out of the office at this time, I was contacted directly by the other agent and left to manage the situation without support or the standard back-up checks one would expect. This lack of oversight resulted in us having to exchange and complete within five days, which led to my solicitor charging an additional fee for the expedited service. When I asked if the agency would cover this fee—given the lack of support and missed checks during the most critical part of the sale, I was told it is unlikely but the matter would be looked into. Despite following up after completion, I received no further response. While I was told after the sale that "the stress was worth it," I disagree. For a fee exceeding £7,000, I expected a level of professional support that would prevent such high levels of stress and additional costs. Ultimately, while the service was good when things were simple, the necessary support was not there when the situation became challenging.

We have been delighted with their professionalism integrity and how they add value to the Agency and conveyancing process. We have no hesitation in recommending them above any others in this area of south east London ( and I say this as a Chartered Surveyor with 40 years experience in London markets).

3rd Apr 2026 (7 weeks ago)Truly the worst service one could experience from an estate agent. John and Mariem were extremely unreasonable, obstinate and down right rude. Refused to request items from the landlord like removing furniture and allowing keys to be returned early at end of tenancy. Our boiler broke on one of the coldest days in winter and we had to quote the unfit for habitation act before they responded to my requests to send someone to fix.

From the outset JDM Eltham's team guided and, to a certain extent, held my hand through the process, which is what I needed as selling houses is not my business. Their communication was timely and clear. I'd recommend them unreservedly.
8th May 2026 (13 days ago)After a really frustrating experience trying to sell our home through two other agents, finding Carter Remy Estates completely changed everything for us. Both previous agents had “sold” our property, but on both occasions the sales eventually fell through because the buyers were unable to obtain mortgages. Each time, we had already started spending money towards purchasing another property ourselves, only for everything to collapse due to the buyers not being properly vetted in the first place. It was stressful, costly, and incredibly disappointing. A friend recommended Carter Remy to us and at that point we genuinely felt like we had nothing to lose. From the very beginning, we were impressed with their marketing strategy, professionalism, and honest approach. Within just two weeks they found us another buyer, but this time the difference was obvious immediately. Carter Remy required the buyer to sign a reservation agreement and make an upfront payment, which gave us real confidence that the buyer was genuine, financially committed, and serious about proceeding. It made the whole process feel far more secure and gave us the reassurance we needed to confidently move forward with our onward purchase without fearing another collapse. The result was a completely different experience our sale completed within just 12 weeks with no complications at all after the agreement was signed. A huge thank you to the whole team, especially Allison and Craig, for all of their hard work, communication, and support throughout the process. We honestly can’t recommend Carter Remy highly enough and would recommend them to anyone looking to move home.
