Unlike other estate agents we dealt with, HJC were very prompt with replies, always kept us in the loop, and proactively checked in with us throughout the process. We never felt like we had to chase. Karen and Tuesday were very friendly and supportive and would highly recommend them.

20th Sep 2026 (6 weeks ago)It is hard to know where to begin. I found the attitude of the senior staff at the Banstead office to be arrogant, misogynistic and bombastic. Despite often making major errors such as leaving the back door unlocked after a viewing or leaving lights on in the house so when it got dark the house could be seen from outside or on one occasion leaving the list of the day's viewings for the agent with names, addresses, emails, key codes and price limits on my breakfast bar- there was little or no humility or apology but rather a feeling that they were always right. They tried to pressurise me into reducing the price after just 3 weeks despite it being the middle of August and when they gave information to my ex husband that was not helpful I phoned to state it had caused an issue and they said, "It isn't my fault you are going through a messy divorce". They lacked all compassion, care and professionalism. I will never recommend them or go into their office ever again. It is interesting to note that when the house did sell it was not them that showed them round but myself (as it was a Sunday) and if it hadn't been for the estate agent I was buying from (Andrews) being so brilliant chasing up and down the chain I honestly think we still wouldn't be moved now.

I truly appreciated how he addressed all of our inquiries and respected our time. While I often found it difficult to get results through official channels, Brett was always ready to assist me personally. He provided the kind of support a purchaser needs, especially as a first-time buyer navigating the process.<br><br>My constant emails were always addressed and resolved promptly. I feel fortunate to have secured my mortgage through Bazely and Co., as the team kept me updated throughout the entire process. Thank you all. Paul and George took over from our HA nominated estate agent (it was a shared ownership sale) and after 2 weeks with ace marketing and plenty of viewings we had a buyer. Their local knowledge really paid off. Communication was prompt and nothing was a bother for them throughout the sale process. Would recommend and certainly use again.
1st Oct 2026 (4 weeks ago)WARNING TO TENANTS: Know your legal rights!<br><br>Be incredibly careful if you are ending a tenancy through this agency. They are currently giving out incorrect legal advice and misapplying the Renters’ Rights Act 2026 to the financial detriment of tenants.<br><br>Staff members are claiming that the new law retroactively forces a two-month notice period on everyone. This is legally wrong. Under the Act's official transitional rules, pre-existing contracts signed before May 2026 that allow a shorter (one-month) tenant notice period remain completely valid.<br><br>By misrepresenting the law, this agency tried to trap me into double-paying rent. Check your original tenancy agreement, protect yourself, and do not let them bully you into extra payments. I have had to escalate this formally to their Managing Director and will be taking it to the Property Ombudsman if it is not resolved immediately.
