His advice was always clear and helpful, which made everything much less stressful. Zaria was also fantastic - she kept things moving smoothly and made sure I was regularly updated with progress from both solicitors, which I really appreciated. Both Dave and Zaria were very responsive and easy to deal with, and they made the whole process feel straightforward and manageable. I’d highly recommend them!

From the very beginning they demonstrated professionalism and a genuine commitment to ensuring the entire process ran smoothly. Nick was always available to answer questions, address concerns promptly, and provide clear guidance whenever needed. I would confidently recommend this company to anyone.

7th May 2026 (7 weeks ago)unfortunately my experience with this agency has been consistently disappointing. Many of the properties they advertise look great and are reasonably priced, which is why I kept applying and contacting them repeatedly. However, despite numerous enquiries, I have never once been offered a viewing. The process is always the same: you call about a property, they ask you to complete an application form, you send all your information, and then you receive an automatic email saying someone will contact you shortly. But nobody ever does. The most frustrating part is the complete lack of communication. Other agencies usually contact applicants to explain whether viewings are available, whether the property already has too many applicants, or whether the application was unsuccessful. This agency simply ignores people after they submit their details. I even contacted them multiple times to ask for clarification, and each time I received the same scripted responses such as “we cannot offer viewings to everyone.” I understand that perfectly. The issue is not rejection — the issue is the lack of professionalism and communication. For context, I have a good rental history, and I currently rent a property that actually costs more than many of the properties I applied for through this agency. I am financially able to afford the rent, so the complete lack of response is difficult to understand. I also know several local friends (families) who tried to rent through this agency and had similarly negative experiences. They described the agency as completely unhelpful and said the process caused them a huge amount of unnecessary stress.If applicants are told someone will contact them, then they should receive an update, even if the answer is no. People are left waiting with no information at all. I also found the staff quite dismissive and unhelpful during phone conversations. Communication felt rushed and unfriendly rather than supportive. I genuinely feel this agency needs to improve its customer service, transparency, and communication with applicants. A simple update or honest explanation would save people a lot of time and stress but they usually say:”We have no time for that”!!!Actually it’s part of your job!

We particularly liked how she got answers to our questions from the vendors and passed these back to us quickly. When viewing other properties, we have found that often our questions have not been answered. Having this additional information, made a material difference. A big thank you to Evie and the PL&J team

26th May 2026 (27 days ago)As a young first-time buyer, I had no choice but to use Shipways. The entire process was highly stressful and completely unsupported. The irony is that when our offer was accepted, they were incredibly strict about enforcing a 28-day exchange of contracts. We did everything right—secured our mortgage offer and got completely ready—only for the process to stall because my solicitor was waiting on Shipways for an amended contract!Despite their strict demands on us, I was constantly chasing them via email, receiving minimal responses or mere acknowledgements rather than actual guidance. If I hadn't sought external support, I don’t know how I would have managed. Be prepared to do 99% of the chasing yourself.On completion day, funds were released and we had confirmation hours prior. Despite this, the agent’s response was simply, 'I haven't been made aware,' acting as if assisting us was a massive chore. She was incredibly curt and short with us, causing immense panic while removal vans were waiting.To top it off, I couldn't collect the keys in person, so I sent someone else. Shipways handed the keys over blindly, asking for absolutely no ID or confirmation of identity. For contrast, the property was multi-agency, and when we dealt with the other agents (AP Morgan), they were a completely different league. They required proof of ID and proper forms, highlighting just how poor and lax Shipways' security and customer service truly was. Use them with extreme caution.

Everything was clearly explained to us at each stage, which really helped put our minds at ease. Adam in particular was brilliant. Always approachable, responsive and happy to answer all our questions, even after completion. He also kindly accommodated multiple visits so we could measure up for furniture, which we really appreciated. We would definitely recommend Arden. Thank you so much for all your help!

Jason kept me in the loop with absolutely everything, and the process from start to finish has been amazing. I cannot recommend him enough. I originally purchased the house from him and re-sold with him. Fantastic service.
