? 1/5<br>Very disappointing experience.<br>A few years ago, I was due to rent a property in Ely through William H Brown. Everything had been arranged and I had already given notice on my previous home. On the very day I was supposed to collect the keys, I was told that the landlord had changed their mind.<br><br>I had organised everything around the move and was left in an extremely difficult situation, with the real possibility of having nowhere to live. I still remember the stress this caused me and my family.<br><br>I understand that landlords can change their minds, but I expected the agency to make sure everything was secure before allowing me to give notice and prepare to move. Years later, I still remember how badly this was handled. Based on my experience, I would not use them again.

Very disappointing experience with the mortgage advisor.<br>Unfortunately, I was not happy with the service or guidance I received. I felt the advice provided was very limited, and there were not enough lender options presented to properly compare the market.<br>The prices and rates offered also seemed high compared with what I was able to find by speaking to other mortgage companies. I expected a mortgage advisor to provide a wider range of options, explain the differences clearly, and help find a competitive deal, but I did not feel this was the case.<br>After comparing the options with other companies, I found significantly more choice and better alternatives elsewhere. Overall, I was disappointed with the level of guidance, the limited lender options, and the prices available. Based on my experience, I would recommend shopping around and getting quotes from several mortgage advisors before making a decision.

After a promising start with Jared it quickly went down hill. We are first time sellers and dealing with WHB put us off entirely that we took the house off the market and are going to try again in a couple of years (with another estate agent).<br><br>(To be clear, when we cancelled the contract I emailed them with our experience and it went unanswered)<br><br>In summary:<br>1. We expected a consultative experience. Being guided through the selling process with recommendations on what to do. Instead we’d get calls asking us what we wanted to do… if we knew what to do we wouldn’t be paying you thousands in fees.<br>2. Liberty is in serious need of training. Any push back or challenge and she hands you off to Jared, during negotiations with a prospective buyer she relayed incorrect information on their offer, and speaking with the offerees directly communication with them was non existent. From the same offerees we were told that Liberty really doesnt understand the house she is selling, any of its unique features (even though we sent an email detailing them) and instead just guessed.<br>3. We had 4 viewings in 4 months, zero advice on what to do. With one viewing they were an elderly couple looking for a bungalow (for context we are a 3 story with steep stairs)<br>4. We received an incredibly low offer. This offer was delivered with no advice, no suggestions on next steps, no consultation. Just "here's the offer, what do you wanna do?" This offer was given around lunchtime, to which we countered and I had to chase a call the morning after to find out what was going on.<br><br>Rather than the consultative experience we expected, it feels like they are just order takers.<br><br>Based on our experience id encourage you to avoid.

The entire team at WH Brown Castleford were amazing from start to finish.<br><br>Dan made sure we got the best mortgage offer for our needs, and Chloe and Kelsey were always efficient and knowledgeable when dealing with all of our viewings and enquiries. We always felt they knew our requirements and worked for us to get us the best.<br><br>Special shout out must go to Leanne, and especially Lily, who took fantastic care of us every step of the way. We absolutely couldn't have done this without her. They sold our property at the price we wanted within 6 weeks and found us the prefect forever home.

Having met Claire Brown I felt confident in signing with William H Brown.
What a mistake! I decided to try the modern auction method as I had no above chain.
I filled in all necessary paperwork with the solicitor & auction house.
2 negotiators were sent round and promised me (Ryan particularly) that absolutely they could sell my house, it was beautiful and it would be a pleasure to sell it etc etc.
Within a week I went into the office as had heard nothing and asked was there anything I could do . I was told no there wasn’t. Having been informed by Ryan that January was busy initially he then retracted stating with another member of the team that this January was the worst on record.
I received 1 phone call from Ryan telling me had an interested party, hmmm don't think that was true. Said interested party obviously never materialised.
In 12 plus weeks I have not heard from any staff ! The auctioneer has been in touch on and off.
Thank goodness my time is now up and my contract terminated.
I would advise anyone thinking of signing to not waste your time as first impressions are not always the best.
I absolutely would not recommend this company. They are beyond unprofessional in every way.
Please people, there are clearly far better agents in Rushden & Higham Ferrers.
