They worked hard to find the right buyer for the sale and helped with aligning everything my house buy purchase. 17th Mar 2024 (7 weeks ago)Honestly without Declan I would not have bought my house. Having spoken to him about the kinds of property I wanted and the original mortgage advice I had been given. He suggested I meet Aidan and everything just went up from there. Although I didn’t purchase my house through Burchell Edwards the mortgage advice I received from Aidan put me in the best position to buy my first home. Also a special shout out to Gary who took over my mortgage completion he has been so helpful. Great team and would highly recommend! So polite, so easy to contact and work with. 1st Aug 2022 (1 year ago)With all the things that moving house can throw at you, don't make it any harder than it needs be. Choose the best estate agent, and in the case of Balsall Common/Shirley that's Ginger. Carl and his team have brought a refreshing step change approach to the traditional estate agent offering. Within the space of a week he had sold both mine and my mothers house, within 3 weeks found another house for my mother (we moved out of the area so he could not help there) and then managed the whole transfer process, including recommendations for solicitors, surveyors, removals etc. But beyond the process of moving it is the team dynamic, culture and engagements that make the real connections and ease the transfer through. We felt supported and in safe hands at every stage, almost as colleagues as part of a team rather than a client supplier relationship. Truly we cannot recommend them enough,

As a first-time buyer there were many aspects I was unfamiliar with, but David/Amelia were always on hand to provide support and ensure the process went as smoothly as possible. Couldn't recommend highly enough!

18th Mar 2024 (7 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

I was kept informed throughout the process and I would single out Debbie Guest, the agent dealing with my sale, for particular praise.Do not be misled by the price realised for the property, it was in need of complete renovation so could never achieve the prices of similar properties in this road. 25th Apr 2024 (13 days ago)We brought our house through Black and Golds. We mainly dealt with Suzi, considering she wasn’t actually our direct estate agent she couldn’t be more helpful. Communication was brilliant and detailed throughout. It was quite a long and complicated chain which was, at times, hard work. The help from Black and Golds made this process much easier. It was a pleasure to deal with them. We didn’t sell with them but the experience of buying with them would make me consider using them in the future.
26th Apr 2024 (12 days ago)Hannah, Ellie & Richard have been absolutely outstanding so far in our house sale journey, I could not recommend these guys enough. Hannah was great on the first appointment, I loved how they sent letters and a welcome email with a personal touch of a marketing booklet to give you tips etc on what to expect and prepare for on the day of the appointment and photos. Richard has been amazing with conducting the viewing’s he really knows his stuff and gets on great with the buyers. Ellie has been working hard behind the scenes on offers with keeping me in the loop every step of the way. The team are friendly, honest, super knowledgeable and just exactly what we need to help sell our home. After being on with a previous agent that caused us nothing but stress, Oakmans have been a breathe of fresh air! Their marketing is second to none, the photos are fantastic, the photographer/marketing manager Roman was absolutely brilliant on the day of photos. Communication has been spot on from the moment we spoke to them, something that was super important to us. We have been kept in the loop every step of the way and I’ve not had to chase them once wondering what is going on. We could not be happier and would definitely recommend Oakmans to all. We have had 5 star service from day one and I know this will continue throughout our sale journey. We truly wished we used Oakmans in the first instance as it would have saved us a hell of a lot of stress!
