We really appreciate all that he did and the advice he gave. We would highly recommend him and Westgate Estate Agents for selling a house.

5th May 2024 (12 weeks ago)I have rented a house via Slater Hogg & Howison for close to 6 years now. Over this time there's been certain repairs needing attention ie damp and black mould. I have kept this house in great condition but the issues date back before I moved in. On countless occasions, mainly from 2021-2024 I have been trying to get these fixed with no joy. I've made so many complaints and have complained to the Property Ombudsman. I am heavily pregnant with my first baby due in June and Slater Hogg & Howison have been aware of this since at least the start of the year, I was trying to get them to fix the issues before June when baby is due as stated in emails to them. My husband contacted Slater Hogg to get an update on the repairs on 29th April, they said the landlord 'was trying to get to the root of the problem with the damp and black mould'. I started Maternity leave on 30th April and that same day Sheriffs Officers came to my door to issue an evicition notice under the grounds the landlord 'intends' to sell in July!! No warning inadvance at all and such a brutal way to treat us, we've always paid rent on time, kept house amazing. We can see an email attached to the evicition notice dated 11th April from Shona McCulloch of the Slater Hogg & Howison Dennistoun branch to say she 'would be delighted' to help sell the property when the landlord is ready. My baby is due in June and Slater Hogg & Howison are delighted to make a newborn baby homeless. This is a revenge evicition because I've been asking to get all the repairs done and i have all the years of proof. It's so unbelievably stressful to be going through this. I do not recommend Slater Hogg & Howison because they are extremely cruel.
15th Jul 2024 (12 days ago)Had 3 offers within the 2 weeks. Proper checks not done . Lost one offer , the offer I did except buyer didn’t even have a mortgage in principal! I was told the dad was buying the flat for his daughter. Half the money other half on mortgage! None of this was true

Standard of Communication was first class, helped me in more ways than one, through providing advice and suppport with any questions I had for them. Standard was outstanding and got me way over what I thought was achievable for the sale of my house. Would definately recoment this company, you will not be disappointed. Thanks again Jason for everything you guys done for us, simple outstanding! Angela

13th Jul 2024 (14 days ago)Hi, After reviewing the estate agents in the area I selected igloo as it had the biggest turnover of properties marketed and the price was lowest in the area. Overall I think I can summaries by saying, “ You get what you pay for”. The lower outlay against some of the aspects of selling my house does match up. Positives :- House sold for market valuation. Which was probably the most important thing in the end after a very long time on market. Negatives :- The surveyor recommended and used in my opinion constructed a survey which really didn’t support the sale of my home. Which led to the very long and drawn out sale. The house I feel could have been marketed stronger. Did not get the feeling of any drive to sell it. It felt like sit back and wait for phone to ring. Closed at weekends meant after any viewings at the weekend I had to wait for any feedback. Plus think it led to people loosing interest. Feedback was not very forthcoming. Most occasions I had to call for an update after viewing. Sometimes felt like I was annoying people when I called to find out what was happening. Advised to get a refresh on home report with I did not do as my lawyer advised it was not required. House sale completed without this. Could have been an unnecessary expense. So glad I want with my own lawyer and not one they advised. So overall got the sale after a long wait for market value which was most important but I do think the sales experience could have been better if some of my negative points were removed or improved.

A big thanks to Sophie and her colleagues who made our whole buyer journey such a lovely experience. From initial contact, booking viewing, attending viewing and throughout offer stages, each member of staff was so friendly, professional and couldn't have been any more helpful and understanding. Especially patient and helpful given I was trying to negotiate the process on behalf of my son who is on the Autistic Spectrum. Genuinely nice people.

24th Jan 2022 (2 years ago)I can wholeheartedly recommend the team at Yates Hellier. From the start Ross explained the whole process very clearly and put my mind at ease. I chose Yates Hellier as I was impressed with their promises of a more personal touch than the larger West End estate agents and they did not disappoint. Ross and Lisa were very easy to deal with . They were in constant communication with updates and viewings. The whole process from marketing to viewings went incredibly smoothly. Even when my initial buyer pulled out at the last minute, Ross and Lisa swooped into action and found another buyer in a matter of hours! Ross and Lisa dealt with all aspects of selling my flat and clearly know their stuff. They were highly professional, kept in constant touch and we sold our flat for a price we were delighted with. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

From Paul coming out to initially value my property until the day I handed over my keys to move into my new dream home the support has been first class. Excellent communication. Shona or one of her team always got back to me with any queries I had or advice needed. Totally recommend. I would not use any other Estate Agent.

29th Jun 2024 (28 days ago)Over the years I've used several estate agents for both buying and selling properties. On this particular occasion I was purchasing an apartment prior to selling my existing home, and the seller had contracted Movewise to market and negotiate the sale, in the end to me. So firstly - as a buyer - I personally found Movewise to be very helpful, always happy to provide information to me as the buyer. Movewise have their own inhouse finance team which I didn't need to use on this occasion, but more on that in a bit. My purchase transaction went very smoothly and I was kept appraised throughout the whole process even when there was a slight delay in closing the deal, which was not the fault of Movewise. The seller had gone on holiday and was unable to sign the Disposition hence the slight delay. Upon the seller's return the contract and ownership exchange was promptly completed satisfactorily. Given my very positive experience with Movewise as a buyer, I didn't hesitate to engage them to sell the home I'd just moved out of to move into my new place. Just as it had gone well as a buyer so also it went smoothly and quickly as a seller. Again, I was kept fully appraised of developments my buyer was experiencing. The buyer used the Movewise inhouse finance team and given the speed from agreeing the sale through to completion, I have every reason to believe any issues or problems were quickly solved / resolved although it must be said none were brought to my attention so I assume no real issues or problems presented themselves. Communications were excellent all the way through both buying and selling and any queries were quickly answered with a professionalism I haven't really experienced with other estate agents in the various locations I've lived across the UK. So, to conclude, I extend a sincere and hearty thank you to Alex, Lyndsay and the team at Movewise Paisley.
5th Jul 2024 (22 days ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!
