24th Sep 2023 (7 mo. ago)I strongly advise against engaging with this company. My mother, a retired individual, had a regrettable experience with them. They initially presented her with a contract specifying a certain value but later issued invoices with a different amount, contradicting the agreed-upon terms. I possess all the invoices that clearly indicate the agreed-upon price of £850, including statements indicating zero pounds in arrear rents. Despite maintaining up-to-date rent payments as evidenced by the invoices, the company attempted to claim rent owed from five years ago when they decided to terminate her lease. This situation has left me contemplating legal action against them. Furthermore, the company's office appears disorganized, which raises concerns about their property management practices. The person in charge, Shirley, exhibits an unprofessional and intrusive demeanor , often resorting to sarcasm as a means of communication.
31st Mar 2021 (3 years ago)Avoid this Company at all costs. 4 times their tenants have flooded 2 flats below causing £30k + worth of damages and not once have they had the decency to apologise. The 2 affected flats have a key worker in one and an 85 year cancer patient in the other. There were 4 tenants in a one bed flat contravening tenancy rules. 2 were removed but 1 has moved back in so still contravening tenancy rules. Because they are receiving rent they have no interest in what the tenants are up to. The lady that owns the flat lives in Spain and has not made any contact either. A sham of a Company and if you are looking to let your flat, avoid these at all costs.
4th Dec 2023 (21 weeks ago)I cannot speak more highly of the team at Ashtead. I sold my house and the whole process was handled professionally and as smoothly as possible. I really liked the personal service and the “genuine” approach, especially having moved the house sale from one of the competitors in the area. Dan and the team were always super helpful and responded quickly to any questions or queries that I had. I also purchased a new home through V&H. Again, Maria and the team were absolute super stars. I always felt updated and they had my interests in mind at all times. I would highly recommend. Huge thanks, Catherine.

17th Feb 2024 (10 weeks ago)Never in the office when we called, never replied to our emails, didn’t seem interested in selling our (low value) property. When we phoned the office nobody else could help or give us information about what was happening with our property, or whether there were any potential viewings. Talked a good talk and always had ‘an interested investor’ which never turned into a viewing. Very slow on technology - took 4 days to remove the property after the end of our contract (after 2 weeks notice). Had the cheek to try to get a sly viewing after we had moved on to another agent because ‘they were interested but couldn’t arrange a viewing last week’. Poor service, and doesn’t seem to work with his team. Unless you’re selling a high- value property with a juicy commission don’t bother.

He was understanding when hurdles cropped up and always showed patience and compassion to my elderly mother. A great agent in all respects but in this case with assisted living properties.
- 22nd Dec 2021 (2 years ago)I cannot say enough about V&H Homes and specifically Maria at the Ashtead Branch. While they are a smaller independent agent, they will absolutely give you the personalized service that an independent can provide. Give those big estate agents in Surrey a miss, take your business to V&H. The communication throughout the process was exemplary, the dedication to getting the sale was second to none. We had tried to sell previously with the usual suspects in Surrey and none of them could get the sale and it seemed hopeless, V&H got it done in 10 days! There were many times in our sale where things got rocky and Maria went well over and above day in and day out to ensure that everything went through. I truly believe that if we had went with another big establishment high street agent that our sale would not have happened. While Maria was absolutely amazing, we also had interactions with the other associates at Ashtead V&H Homes. When Maria was out of office our file was well looked after, the service didn’t slip at all which is very rare in a sales situation. As I said at the beginning of this review, I really can’t say enough about Maria and V&H. These days reviews are either 5* or 1* and it’s getting more and more difficult to sift through them to make a decision. This is 100% a genuine 5* review. Were there issues in the sales process, of course there were, we were selling a house. But it wasn’t about the issues, it was about how they were handled, the speed at which they were handled, and the fact that when something came up we were never left to worry, V&H were always just a phone call or e-mail away. Thank you so much Maria and V&H Homes for the personalized service and all the time and effort that you spent on our file. We absolutely owe our sale and the fact that we are snugly in our new home all to you! Very best regards, Danny

She was great very helpful and quick to respond… its an office block conversion so even with all the delays and developers issues she always kept me informed and updated couldn’t of asked for a better experience as a first time buyer! She has the patients of a saint and always happy to help so would definitely recommend!

Staying with them for 10 month and they have a communal cleaner that walks in our rooms with a key she is given from the agency, and the agency never mentioned that detail. When we asked what is happening they told us she is looking for potential damages every week. Absolutely not recommend as the agency is one of the worst I have ever had. Prefer living on the streets with how I was treated.

This meant that they were unable to get the number of anticipated viewings and were unable to sell my house. I took the decision to move agents to try and speed up a sale but Cromwells did get some viewings and their communication was good.
10th Apr 2024 (19 days ago)The whole process so far has been very easy. Everything was explained to us and if we had any queries they were quickly dealt with. Communication has been brilliant too - if we had any questions, they were always answered promptly. I would recommend them if you are buying or selling a house.

After having the flat with a high street estate agency for 3 months with no viewings, I spoke to Elle, best thing ever, she put it on the market and the viewings started to come with her and then Katherine, both are very down to earth, approachable and knowledgeable, once offer was accepted Poppy took over and she was on top of things, keeping everyone moving and kept me informed of everything. Please trust them, you will not be disappointed.

Their professionalism from start to finish is remarkable and nothing is ever too much for them. Our sale was not the easiest but they believed in getting through every hurdle to completion even when we didn’t. There is never a day they treated us as another source of income or annoyance in the many delays we have had. They offer bespoke service best suited to your needs without even realising it, a lovely gesture and assurance that you are not on your own, which sets them apart from other agents.
