10th Apr 2024 (13 days ago)Had an extremely unpleasant experience dealing with Gibson Lane as a buyer. A few highlights: - We had to be very proactive with asking for weekly updates on documents as the sales agent was otherwise not very forthcoming with information - Sales agent assigned to our case had a habit of leaving work around 3:30, so any inquiries (email or phone) past then would have to wait until the next day - Sales agent also would randomly not be in on days without any warning or automated email response (like you would expect), so important emails would go unanswered, forcing us to call to check on inquiries - Sales agent was very condescending in communications, presenting very unfavorable terms while adding "I trust these will be agreeable" or otherwise completely ignoring our concerns - During negotations for period between exchange and completion, sales agent threatened us by saying that "the market has moved on since your offer and the vendor will put the property on the market and we will sell it for more money" - this is verbatim - Despite the threats, the sales agent's manager and vendor backed down in the end, showing how toothless they actually were Please let our hardships be a lesson to all prospective buyers: do not trust anything that Gibson Lane sales agents tell you, they are only concerned with their sales targets and commissions.

She kept us informed throughout, kept chasing the buyer, and made what would normally be a very stressful time a lot easier. Would recommend Churchods to anyone having worked with their competitors before who couldn't sell the property and who were difficult to work with.

Sam Hall did an excellent job, he was very patient with me and listened to what kind of flat I am looking for and he got in touch as soon as ‘the one’ was available! Super clear and friendly communication, and you get the type of calls from the agent that you actually enjoy, it’s like talking to a friend, listens, advises and cares! Highly recommend! Would you rent out your lovely home to be managed by a man who once had a day job defending the country in frigates, destroyers or submarines or by a youngster in a shiny suit who defends a corner table in The Armpit Arms on Fridays? A complete no-brainer! And 14 months later, what was the experience like? Without doubt, words like “efficient” and “reassuring” come to mind whenever we ask ourselves the question. It meant that if problems arose (and with human beings they always do) we were swiftly told about them and, soon after, how they had been sorted. Other times we were supported with periodic updates to kept us in the picture about how the house was running. Two examples: the long and detailed handover checklist, both leaving and returning, was calmly organised on our behalf while cleaning services were arranged without having to lift a finger. Would we call upon Greenwoods again – of course. Would we recommend them to others – mad not to! Chris & Jacqui

He had the house on the market before the others had even sent a photographer round , by the time they had, laurels had sold the property ( 8 days ) for the price we wanted. Again through the whole process Fraser kept us informed and nothing was to much trouble for him, I think Laurels are lucky to have him . And would highly recommend laurels ????????????????????

He has been superb in the sale of our house and went above and beyond to ensure that our sale went ahead. From the beginning to the end he has had a positive outlook. On our viewings he was bright and bubbly and ensured that the viewers were made aware of the benefits of our property,. When we eventually agreed a sale we had a long process due to the fact that the buyers held up matters, however Rhys would always be pressing to try and speed up the process and always kept us up to date and informed. At one stage our buyer went abroad, Rhys was on calls to our buyer at 1030 at night trying to deal with their queries in an attempt to push our sale through. We can’t thank Rhys enough for what he did for us. He is a real credit to his trade and we would throughly recommend using him to friends and family. Again thank you Rhys Henry

Everyone involved ensured every step ran as smoothly as possible, and any questions we had had were answered quickly and comprehensively. As a landlord using this company they do nothing to look after their landlords and only take interest in lining their pockets. They ignore any correspondence regarding anything that will effect their fees yet still continue to deduct the monies to them from the rent they collect, despite it not being due or earned to them. if you are a landlord AVOID Dear Chancellors - thank you for your suggestion of e mailing the Directors. The sad thing is that I did that before leaving the review to the very e mail address you have provided. Guess what - no reply. Its a shame you are so quick to give the impression you care on your google reviews rather than reply to your customers and resolve the issue.
