17th Jan 2022 (2 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.
9th Nov 2023 (25 weeks ago)Dealt with Mark Waldron on the sale of our house in Riverhead. I would highly recommend both Mark and Knight Frank. Right from the initial valuation appointment, mark gave really solid advice on how to maximise the marketing of the house to achieve the best price in a reasonable timescale. This was in summer 2023 and a difficult market to sell in. Knight Frank got lots of interest in the house and had multiple offers. This was because we followed Marks pricing advice and they put together some really lovely photos, brochures and adverts. We did have issues with our first buyer, who messed us around. Mark spotted this quickly and he was replaced with another buyer within a week. Mark has supported us through the post sale process, always happy to help speak with buyers, solicitors and other agents. If you are serious about selling in Sevenoaks then I highly recommend you talk to Mark and his team at Knight Frank. Thank you
2nd Nov 2021 (2 years ago)I have just purchased a property through Equus Property. Celia was fantastic, she was always available when I needed a question answered, she stayed in regular contact with me from the very first viewing right through to completion. Celia went above and beyond her duties, she helped speed up the process by speaking to solicitors and chasing things up for the vendor and I. I highly recommend Equus Property and when the time comes to move on i would not hesitate in contacting them to market my property. Thank you Celia for all of your help.

Communication was always good and could phone the branch, get straight through and they all knew who we were (not in a bad way). To be fair to them the property was not in the most desirable area to most buyers so do not think they were at fault for not selling (was on with 2 agents after first 4 weeks with just them). No fee as never sold but was very competitive and also included a free epc

13th Feb 2024 (12 weeks ago)I would highly recommend Fine & Country and the team in West Malling , Michael was very honest with us from the beginning managed our expectation whilst having a genuine commitment to achieving the best outcome for us , we felt the team Emma and Karen were proactive in their marketing of the property and we were continually kept well informed both verbally and electronically throughout the whole process . Excellent communication and attention to detail from all the team we would highly recommend to anyone looking to sell a property.
8th Apr 2024 (26 days ago)Do not touch this company! On false advertising relating to the 'service promise' and verbal sales pitch we stupidly signed the contract to sell a property. For minimum service we spent over £6000, which worked out extremely overinflated and extortionate. Despite an appeal, we have been offered £50 goodwill!! The 'investigation' is internal and all we were told is we signed the contract and that DOES NOT include any service. We would have not signed the contract if it had not been for the promised service! They have replaced the rip-off double glazing companies with how they conduct their business!!
10th Dec 2023 (21 weeks ago)I viewed two properties with GWF and submitted an offer for one. Filled out the forms and sent them straight away. I received a call to advise that the landlord wanted more viewings to go ahead before making a decision which I understood. I was told I would get a call back on 29th November with an update. It is now the 10th December and I haven’t heard anything. I’m taking the silence as the landlord declining our offer. The property is still on the market by the looks of things so who knows. I’ve worked in the letting industry for the past 12 years and we would communicate this to the prospective tenant regardless. I find the lack of communication appalling.
8th Mar 2024 (8 weeks ago)Sold my house today after a year of trying to shift it. 1 buyer fell through, and various other unavoidable issues that come with selling a property with an ex-partner, and here we are! Sam & Matt were invaluable to the whole process. They kept communication up throughout the entire time, especially Sam who dealt with the majority of the issues. Thank you so much to both of you, and the whole team at Philip Jarvis. A whole years worth of work at such a reasonable price. I would 10/10 recommend.

Throughout the long process between first viewing the property and finally getting the keys the team were highly professional and helpful. This was not an easy journey and they worked extremely hard to make sure it went through. If I was selling a house in Chatham or Rochester I wouldn't look anywhere else. 5 stars!

23rd Aug 2023 (8 mo. ago)No communication, failed to turn up for the two viewings they had arranged and told the estate agent of the property we are buying that our purchase had pulled out before they told us. This one full week after they were informed about the loss of sale costing us the price of a survey. Very poor.- 19th Feb 2024 (11 weeks ago)I had my property for sale with Connells for 5 over months and they made very little effort to sell my property. The new manager apologised for their poor performance which was appreciated. I would not recommend them to sell a property on the Isle of Sheppey.
13th Apr 2020 (4 years ago)Sadly they never sold my house, they had 3 chances in 7 months, the 1st time sent the viewers around at 4pm in the dark and the next 2 they were time wasters! Gave them an extra month and they seem to give up, luckily the service was free because of being Grade 2 listed.

If truth be known, as we hadn't heard of them before it probably wouldn't have been one we would naturally have utilised. However, we have been simply over the moon that you were the chosen Estate Agents, your service has been nothing short of exemplary. You have done absolutely everything you said you would do, at the times and dates provided. The Staff are so supportive, and will go out of their way to make sure the information or question is provided or answered. Nothing has ever been too much, whatever date, time or person we spoke to. We had total faith in your ability to deliver, and trusted you to do your job and you absolutely delivered on everything. All I'm left to add is a big thank you to all concerned.

12th Nov 2023 (25 weeks ago)We weren't able to get the property BUT i still want to say that out of all the agencies that we used to book house viewing, this is the only one that made a great impression. SARAH listened to what we had to say esp the unique circumstance we had; showed the property and explained it well unlike the other agencies where agents just let you go around but not tell you anything about the property they're showing or once you tell them the circumstances they just refuse to book you for a viewing, Phoenix is not like that. Our circumstances were different as we were looking for a home for our best friend who's moving from another country with 3 little kids and Sarah was the only one compassionate enough to entertain us. She is a great asset to the company! For that alone i'm giving a five star! Thank you! Update: THE WHOLE TEAM IS AMAZING! Sarah, Claire, Lee, Masoud etc. (Hope i'm right with the names) are all extremely helpful. We missed the first house we viewed but a few days later we got a call that they have another property if we were interested, it's a newly refurbished 3 bedroom it wasn't even on the website yet and they helped us all throughout the process until my bff finally moved in. Very good communication and very patient and understanding team!
2nd May 2024 (2 days ago)They are sending pictures through our post and doors of other peoples properties who have sold in the area this is a breach of these people personal security, as they have taken pictures of other people properties in the neighbour hood,and sent pictures of the sold property to everyone. Estate agents should not be taking pictures of neighbouring properties and sending it to everyone. If you have sold properties you do not have to send pictures of others properties to everyone on neighbourhood. If somone needs an estate agent most are capable of finding one ourselves. From what have seen you do and post. What not use you at all, if need estate agent will look else where.
