6th Mar 2026 (15 days ago)Jack and Amber at Burchells went above and beyond their role to ensure we had a smooth and stress free renewal of tenant at our rental property in Ilkeston. They continually updated us at all times and were extremely understanding and sympathetic of our requirements, down to fine details. Something as simple as leaving a specific light on after viewings, as we'd requested. We would not hesitate to recommend them , the follow up care is equally as attentive, they are always available to assist in any issues. They certainly don't take your business and run. Very professional at all times. Thank you for all you've done.

She kept us well informed and went out of her way to make sure everything moved forward smoothly. Unfortunately, communication with some other members of the team was less consistent and it could sometimes be difficult to get updates, but Carol’s support and professionalism made a real difference and ensured everything was ultimately resolved.

12th Mar 2026 (9 days ago)My son is currently a tenant in an HMO managed by Nicolas Humphreys, and the experience has been extremely poor. When he moved in, he submitted an inventory with photos highlighting numerous issues. More than 32 weeks later, despite repeated emails and phone calls, most of these issues remain unresolved. We have been told on several occasions that the repairs were completed and that proof would be provided, yet no evidence has ever been shared. There appears to be no accurate record of what work has been done, and no urgency to address the outstanding problems. Given that this is student accommodation, it feels as though the agency relies on young tenants not knowing what standards to expect. They have even attempted to shift blame onto me as guarantor, while asking an uninvolved student in the property to confirm what was outstanding. At present, seven emails remain unanswered without me having to chase for a reply, and multiple requests for a manager to call me back have been ignored. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise avoiding this agency. I last emailed them on 30 January with the full list of outstanding jobs, and there has still been no progress.

Billy was polite & very helpful. Since putting an offer in on the property we viewed he has been so productive and fast with every email I have sent. He now has passed us on to do the next step of the purchase, would recommend Watsons. Thank you Billy.

Buying a home can be stressful at the best of times, but the team kept everything moving smoothly and were always easy to deal with. A big shoutout to Kerry Thomas, who's been fantastic throughout. She was open and transparent throughout the whole process, kept me updated without me ever needing to chase, and was always happy to answer any questions.
