I am writing this review to share my ongoing and deeply concerning experience as a partner at Open House Preston Ltd, as well as a commercial landlord affected by the company’s conduct.
Serious internal issues have arisen within the business, and regrettably, these have resulted in false and defamatory claims being made about me by Mr. Muhammad Hussain. Among these are allegations that I was dismissed from the company and had stolen from it, neither of which is true. No police reports have ever been filed, and no evidence has been produced to support these accusations. These claims have been circulated within the local community, supported by a short, misleading video clip taken entirely out of context, seemingly designed to damage my personal and professional reputation.
In addition, Open House Preston has interfered in the management of a commercial property that I solely own. Despite not having any legal authority over the property, they wrongfully claimed to be the landlord and informed the tenant that the lease was void and that no further rent was due. As a direct consequence, the tenant stopped making rent payments, compelling me to initiate legal proceedings to recover arrears and protect my interests.
Mr. Hussain further compounded the situation by contacting both the tenant and the enforcement agents without my consent, stating that enforcement was no longer necessary. Directly undermining ongoing legal action. These actions created legal confusion, financial loss, and significant personal stress.
I have also witnessed troubling internal practices during my time at the company, including the bypassing of the normal letting process in favour of placing internal contacts into properties without transparency. The rationale behind these decisions was never made clear, raising serious concerns about accountability and governance.
I have made repeated attempts through my solicitor and a third-party mediator to resolve matters amicably. Unfortunately, these efforts have been ignored or deflected, with Mr. Hussain continuing to act as if he is entitled to my share of the business. This leaves me with no choice but to proceed through legal channels.
In summary, my experience with Open House Preston Ltd has been marked by:
False and defamatory claims made against me;
Improper and unlawful interference with my property and legal affairs;
Non-transparent letting practices;
A consistent refusal to mediate or resolve matters professionally.
Given the seriousness of these issues, I cannot in good conscience recommend Open House Preston Ltd to any prospective partner, landlord, or tenant. I urge anyone considering a business relationship with the company to conduct thorough due diligence and seek independent legal advice.... Read more
