7th Dec 2025 (6 mo. ago)Despite any other comments, I had an amazing experience with MSL, I guess it depends on which house or property you’re going for. I stayed at Coulston Road, and it was amazing, I stayed there during my 2nd year and it remained as the best house I ever stayed at during uni. The MSL team was responsive, the property was in perfect condition, no mould, no damp, and if any issues arose they would be there within a couple of days to fix it. I imagine that this is not the case with every property, if you’re going for a very cheap alternative I imagine there will be a few more issues, but if you’re staying or planning on staying at 46 Coulston Road, or any properties in that price range, rest assured, they’re top quality properties. *EDIT* I forgot to mention, I kept my room in perfect condition, no damage, no mess, everything nice and neat and tidy. There was however some normal wear and tear in the room as can be expected through occupying a space for a year, for instance the paint in the shower started chipping away and a couple of other things. However, even with the wear and tear, I received my full deposit back. Not a single penny was taken away from my deposit. Those comments saying they took away their deposits for no reason, I would beg to differ, I image their threshold for “no reason” is very low, since I had no issues whatsoever with the deposits. Just keep your room in good condition and you won’t have any issues.
26th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)I’ve just had one of the most unpleasant experiences I’ve ever had with an estate agent after enquiring about a rental property through Mortimers in Clitheroe. I received a call to go through some pre-qualifying questions and was asked whether I had any adverse credit history. I answered honestly and explained my circumstances. The response I got was incredibly rude and dismissive — I was immediately informed that I would fail referencing and that I can’t even apply for any of their properties. I explained that I am now debt free, earn more than enough to comfortably afford the rent, have an excellent rental history, can provide references, and even have a guarantor available if required. None of that mattered. I was flat-out refused before even being allowed to view or formally apply for the property in question. What makes this even more frustrating is being told they would consider applicants currently in debt, but not someone who has had debt written off and has since rebuilt their finances responsibly. That logic makes absolutely no sense. The overall tone of the conversation was extremely judgemental and degrading. I was spoken to as though I was beneath consideration from the moment I answered honestly. There was absolutely no empathy, professionalism or willingness to discuss options. I appreciate landlords and agents need criteria but that is extreme and circumstances should be judged individually. There’s a way to speak to people respectfully — and this was not it.

However the day has finally arrived, and I can not go without saying a great big thankyou to the lady that kept me sane through the whole process. Gail Dyson you have no idea how much you helped me to keep my stress levels at a low, the constant phone calls that I made to you and not once showed any impatience or annoyance, which I could not have done. You are truly amazing at your job, extremely professional, and kept the reputation of Tiger estates to an all time high. I sincerely hope that you are recognised with in your company for all your hard work and efforts that you showed me , as I am sure you show to others. 7th Jun 2026 (20 days ago)Terrible service received by my daughter. She made an appointment to view a house, she waited, knocked on the door and no one was there. She the callled to be advised the lady should be there. She waited for quite some time then had to return to work. They have still not called to apologise or explain. This is shocking customer service. I would not sell or buy a house from this company

Enquired about a parking space, took three phone calls to get a call back and then informed me I needed to provide three months in advance and a £100 deposit even though the listing said £0 deposit and another member of there team said you could pay monthly. Maybe try to get your facts straight.

Mairead was very attentive to our needs and went out of her way to identify the kind of properties that suited our preferences. She arranged viewings outside business hours to accommodate our busy work schedules and was always smiling and ready to give advice and tips ranging from the most mundane to complex issues with the solicitors. We were made to feel more like family than clients. Our deal reached completion within 4 months. I would highly recommend this team.

31st May 2026 (27 days ago)Don’t ever use dewhurst homes and avoid at all costs A property that we loved recently went up for sale We agreed a visit When we got to the visit the person showing us around had no clue on the property, the onward chain and couldn’t answer basic of questions, not there fault at all. More on the company sending her out when she specialises in rentals, we then put a bid forward and told it was rejected. We then proceeded to put a second offer in, they called us and said our first offer rejected no word on the second offer, we told them the second offer and was told oh this would be rejected and basically laughed down the phone. Third offer sent and same again told it wouldn’t be accepted, we then went above asking price and was told by Dewhurst homes the seller had accepted much higher but not responding so our offer is accepted, we agreed a mortgage and conveyancer and now been told sorry we’ve gone back to original person as been back in touch. From our first contact with Liam Herrador, everything felt easy, responsive and well handled. Amanda Beard who came out to value the property, was excellent. She took the time to really understand the house and our situation. She cared about getting it right for us. Her follow up and attention to detail was excellent too. We also had contact with another member of the team, Serena, for a possible house purchase and she was so helpful too. All in all, a great experience. Thank you

Right from the start, the way they presented and marketed our home was first class — it really stood out, and that made all the difference. The whole team were brilliant: proactive with their communication, quick to respond, and genuinely supportive at every stage, which took a lot of the stress out of the process. A couple of people deserve a particular mention. Georgina did a great job negotiating the deal — calm, sharp, and clearly working hard to get us the best possible result. And Michelle was superb at progressing the transaction, staying on top of every detail and keeping everything moving smoothly through to completion. If you're after an estate agent who'll genuinely look after you , we'd happily recommend Moving Works. Five stars.

There were a couple of teething snags however Nicola remained calm and steered my application through and got me into the perfect flat where i can begin my new life with my daughter. Another estate agent had been involved but they had not managed to get the sale over the line. Marie Holmes Estate Agency identified genuine buyers and had viewings scheduled quickly. Communication was excellent. My son was guided through the whole process by the staff who used their expertise to ensure the sale was quick and mostly stress free. Fabulous communication on completion day meant that the removal went smoothly. Very happy.
