8th Jul 2024 (19 days ago)I used to rent a property with country properties. During that time I interacted mainly with Debbie I found the whole experience deeply unpleasant. She seemed more concerned about making money for the landlord than about my experience as a tenant: it made me feel stressed and pressured. I also experienced them as unprofessional due to the lack of service that was available to me - what I mean by service is a welcoming attitude and kind approach, which would make me feel safe and supported to raise any concerns I might have. However, both members of the rental branch - Debbie and Hayley- made me feel I was a burden and every time I spoke on the phone it would be rushed. The usual line was ‘we’re about to go into a meeting’. This caused me much anxiety when I was living in Shefford, I couldn’t wait to move! My view of their behaviour whilst living in one of their properties was just confirmed when I had to call them unexpectedly because I accidentally sent a package to the old address and wondered if there was any way of getting the package to me. If not I enquired into whether it would be possible for them to ask their tenant to hold the package for me or see if I could be sent on. However I was told ‘that wasn’t possible’ and Debbie rushed me off the phone. She wouldn’t even ask for me. How is this a professional service and moreover how is this kind? Is kindness and civility not a part of managing a business for them? It seems not… I’ve dealt with and lived under the care of several different real estate agents and this was by the far the worst! The whole experience of living in a property is defined by the attitude and service real estate agent. Therefore, I wanted to warn future and would strongly recommend trying finding another real estate agent to help you if possible!
6th Jul 2024 (21 days ago)Having been let down by one of the competitors, I was wary of all agents but Aaron was extremely helpful and gave me new hope that I would sell! I I had to move back to Wales before the sale and Aaron was great at popping around to check on things the buyer wanted to know. Extremely helpful and a great communicator who kept me in touch at all stages and gave me great advice (even on my purchase property which was nothing g to do with Connells). Fantastic service and support from Aaron in particular but the whole team were great. Would strongly recommend!- 28th Oct 2021 (2 years ago)I have found some estate agents to be all about the sale and provide little knowledge or care about the property and area they are selling, let alone taking the time to get to know a potential purchaser and what is right for them. Paul from Connells, Hitchin however has restored my faith and has proved to have an outstanding knowledge of the properties and areas he has showed us, as well as taking the time during and after viewings to discuss them. Thank you Paul
26th Apr 2024 (13 weeks ago)They tied me down to a contract and wanted to charge me £750 to get out of it even though I was within the cooling off period. I had a change of heart literally the next day and they didn’t let me out. After that, communication was so so and I only got three viewings in the whole duration.

I cannot say enough good things about Mather Estates Agency. From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted with a warm smile and a genuine willingness to help. One person in particular who stood out was Hayley. She was always available to answer any questions I had, no matter how big or small. 17th Jul 2024 (10 days ago)At the time of putting my house up for sale I was in the early stages of pregnancy and really anxious to find a home with more space before our baby arrives. I was lucky enough to get in contact with Daniel B, who came to review our home efficiently and professionally. I was really happy with the photos he’d taken and the way in which he talked us through all the relevant processes involved in selling a house. Much to our delight Daniel had a lot of interest on our property and we were able to sell it. Our whole chain completed within three months. At times through the process I had a lot of questions and in retrospect I can see I needed a lot of reassurance through the process as my stress levels were very high. Daniel was a great representative of Cooper Wallace and I’d like tho thank him for his patience.

30th Jun 2024 (27 days ago)Friendly and responsive service from people who really know the local market and clearly have a genuine hunger to get your house sold and you moved into your new home. After an initial meeting with Dominic, my main contact was Romeo Cirillo who was very helpful throughout. Great communication from the team during the lengthy process and they used their very useful relationships with the other professionals involved, such as surveyors and solicitors, to keep the whole process moving.
19th Jul 2024 (8 days ago)We just completed on a purchase through Leysbrook. We had quite a long process however the team at Leysbrook were excellent. Donna especially went above and beyond. She even worked on getting us moving on her days off. I don't know where we would be right now without her. They were very helpful and supportive. They even set up a WhatsApp chat to help with the process and if we had any questions which was very helpful. They are an amazing estate agent and both myself and my partner would recommend using them. If we were ever mad enough to ever move again we would use Leysbrook! Thank you again for all your hard work, even throughout the stressful time!
18th Mar 2024 (19 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Nick was hugely knowledgeable, respectful and supportive at every stage, and always kept us up-to-date as things progressed. Based on our experience of their professionalism, standard of service and results, we cannot recommend Wellington Evans strongly enough. When Nick first visited our home, we were immediately impressed with the care and attention he gave our property. He was realistic and honest, and explained the current market and how he would approach selling our house. By the end of the visit, we knew we could trust him to deliver a five star experience - and we weren’t wrong. Nick was consistently engaged and on-hand for our questions and to explain the intricacies of the sale process. Through the strategy he put together for marketing our property, the managing of viewings and the offers we received, it was obvious that Nick was focused on delivering for us. We were very pleased to have him represent us. Don’t be put off by the fact Wellington Evans aren’t a big sprawling agency with offices everywhere - based on our experience, this is one of their many, many strengths.
