10th Apr 2024 (9 days ago)Had an extremely unpleasant experience dealing with Gibson Lane as a buyer. A few highlights: - We had to be very proactive with asking for weekly updates on documents as the sales agent was otherwise not very forthcoming with information - Sales agent assigned to our case had a habit of leaving work around 3:30, so any inquiries (email or phone) past then would have to wait until the next day - Sales agent also would randomly not be in on days without any warning or automated email response (like you would expect), so important emails would go unanswered, forcing us to call to check on inquiries - Sales agent was very condescending in communications, presenting very unfavorable terms while adding "I trust these will be agreeable" or otherwise completely ignoring our concerns - During negotations for period between exchange and completion, sales agent threatened us by saying that "the market has moved on since your offer and the vendor will put the property on the market and we will sell it for more money" - this is verbatim - Despite the threats, the sales agent's manager and vendor backed down in the end, showing how toothless they actually were Please let our hardships be a lesson to all prospective buyers: do not trust anything that Gibson Lane sales agents tell you, they are only concerned with their sales targets and commissions.
3rd Jan 2024 (15 weeks ago)It was a real delight dealing with Karen when we were buying recently in Teddington. A good listener who made sure that she understood our objectives and motivations and never tried to shovel everything/anything at us. During the transaction process she was very proactive by helping to push things along and solve issues as they arose. The rest of the team were also cut from the same cloth. Thank you to all!
5th Mar 2024 (6 weeks ago)We chose to put our house on the market with Curchods as we'd had such a good experience of being shown properties by them and we felt we would benefit from their wide area coverage. Always pleasant to deal with, viewings were arranged efficiently and feedback promptly given. Friendly service and a sale achieved!

Sam Hall did an excellent job, he was very patient with me and listened to what kind of flat I am looking for and he got in touch as soon as ‘the one’ was available! Super clear and friendly communication, and you get the type of calls from the agent that you actually enjoy, it’s like talking to a friend, listens, advises and cares! Highly recommend! They give of their time to explain the whole of the selling process, listening to our views and needs. They have excellent area knowledge and we felt confident that they would be able to market and talk about our house accurately highlighting the positives of its location. They vetted prospective buyers for their genuine interest, so preventing time wasting and gave advice for offers.

15th Jan 2024 (14 weeks ago)Generated limited number of viewings and did not qualify leads particularly well e.g. our apartment is on the 3rd floor next to a railway line and a number of viewers mentioned they were worried there was no lift and that it was too close to the train lines. First set of photographs of the apartment (when advertisement is most likely to have the biggest impact) were not good - the colours looked washed out). Only 'strategy' to create more viewings was to reduce the asking price by £100k!
13th Jan 2022 (2 years ago)I decided to sell my flat with Hamptons in Teddington. They over valed my property it’s a second home , I reduced it dramatically and the offers came in . Having finally agreed a good offer I asked them to do sufficient investigation into their funds to buy and the level of borrowing. They were hopeless on this and after a month into solicitors etc . My fears came through and my sale fell through. I then put it up for rental and it was gone in three days even though I am very specific about my tenant profile . They even paid me 6 months up. front as I had two other parties prepared to do the same . My property is in A list location and premium.
5th Mar 2024 (6 weeks ago)Terrible service from DavidLee, would not recommend them to anyone. Staff were rude and unhelpful and caused unnecessary stress to the sale of my property. Do not use DavidLee if you want a simple transaction to go smoothly!

He had the house on the market before the others had even sent a photographer round , by the time they had, laurels had sold the property ( 8 days ) for the price we wanted. Again through the whole process Fraser kept us informed and nothing was to much trouble for him, I think Laurels are lucky to have him . And would highly recommend laurels ????????????????????

3rd Mar 2024 (7 weeks ago)Im shocked at the level of lack professionalism disreguard of potential tennents aswell of lack of care. I arranged a viewing for saturday. Its a good job i called up to confirm and check the address. Turns out my viewing had been cancelled as property was gone. No one called me to update me. I would of been standing out side waiting in the rain and no one would of been coming. To add insult to the matter, when asked why i wasnt informed i was told there was 40-50 people viewing, they didnt have time to call so many people. The lack of care and whatever attidtude is some what concerning. So basicaly we dont care about letting you know you been cancelled. Leads me to wounder if they are the same with tennants. If something needs replacing or fixing will they even respond?

He has been superb in the sale of our house and went above and beyond to ensure that our sale went ahead. From the beginning to the end he has had a positive outlook. On our viewings he was bright and bubbly and ensured that the viewers were made aware of the benefits of our property,. When we eventually agreed a sale we had a long process due to the fact that the buyers held up matters, however Rhys would always be pressing to try and speed up the process and always kept us up to date and informed. At one stage our buyer went abroad, Rhys was on calls to our buyer at 1030 at night trying to deal with their queries in an attempt to push our sale through. We can’t thank Rhys enough for what he did for us. He is a real credit to his trade and we would throughly recommend using him to friends and family. Again thank you Rhys Henry
