Could not recommend Rory Clarke enough at Hamptons International. We have recently purchased our first home and Rory went above and beyond to ensure a seamless process throughout. From his super responsiveness to all of our queries (even if this was after 10pm at night), to truly making us feel that no request / clarification was too much. He understands both sides' concerns and makes you feel you're a team in this. We had no hard sell approach, but instead fair and very thoughtful support during what is for many a stressful process. The least estate agenty agent I've ever come into contact with - highly recommend. (we also met Matt on a couple of occasions during our search and can vouch he is also great to work with!). Hamptons Richmond seem to have really cracked what good customer service looks like. Highly recommend.... Read more

An almost harrowing experience that does all estate agent stereotypes proud! Referencing of two people with solid and comfortable earnings required complicated accountants references, a page-long reference form from the MD of one's investment bank, intrusive disclosure and woeful disregard of private information and the data protection act Then there was the landlord who couldn't find his own lease or insurance documentation. And the clause in the Hamptons contract which asks the tenant to indemnify the landlord if their insurance doesn't pay out. It's very much "Hamptons and their client" vs. the tenant. Beware and avoid at all costs or say bye to your deposit and nerves! These people are systematically there to rip off tenants during and after tenancy. Smiley and friendly Vinoath (who is the only professional person) will be quick and efficient in finding you a flat and getting the move in done. Then the nightmare starts with Natalie and Joanne, who will do anything to blame the customer as opposed to help. The worst is the check-out when Pritesh and team will do anything to get your money/deposit. The company representative told us that rarely do they such a flat in such tidy and clean condition returned as we did. And 3 weeks later we receive a request by Pritesh to pay 400 GBP for 'hooks' on the wall that had been there at move in and a mosquito found in a sink etc after us having done general cleaning. I have copied below the original "deduction sheet" below so you see 1st hand how they work. When asked for invoices for the work done for the 'deductions' they can't present anything, but instead of ever admitting faults on their side will go into e-mail ping pongs with you and your only way out with them is to sue them which we will do ! Good luck to anyone dealing with them! AVOID. After looking for a property in the local area, I saw one I liked with Curchods. I found the process of booking a viewing awful, before I was allowed to go and look I had to have a call with one of their staff who asked me personal questions about my financial position. BEFORE A VIEWING! This was for a £400k flat, hardly the rolls royce of homes (I can understand if it was a premium development). Needless to say they were late for the appointment and I didn't like the apartment anyway, so all in all a waste of time and now they have all of my personal details. Would NOT recommend.... Naz and Andrew worked tireless in a very hard London market to sell our flat where 2 other large agents had failed. They never gave up and were always cheerful even when we weren't! They really are a different type of estate agent, so if you're sick of the classic estate agent behaviour of bluff, double bluff and double double bluff, then we say use Miles and Bird! I'd love to be more positive, but initial impressions really weren't helped by a set of Property Search listings which, frankly, look as if they've been flung together by an 11-year-old during school breaktime, and which are littered with basic grammatical and spelling errors. When you're asking a sophisticated urban clientele to part with upwards of £1.5 million a throw, that kind of qualitative deficit represents a level of professionalism, finesse and even basic competence which, sadly, falls far short of any minimum acceptable standard....
