Despite some initial difficulties at the commencement of the previous tenancy which were resolved satisfactorily, I find the Clifton team, especially Jane ,very good to deal with. The only criticism of Savills that I have is of the central administration teams based in Richmond. I don't know whether there are resource issues but I have consistently found that individuals I have needed to speak to to speak to unavailable and ultimately very slow to respond to messages that I have left.... A total shambles for tenants. I let with C&M for 3 years. They were ok when showing us around and getting us in to the property (when they needed something from us). As soon as we were in we became totally unimportant to them. I can't count the number of hours of my life I have spent calling and chasing them about things that should be part of basic customer service. Every year during our renewal something went wrong on their end (lost paperwork, poor record keeping, terrible communication), making it very stressful for us. The same was true of ending our tenancy. I had to repeatedly call them to confirm things due to no response to email, with only false promises of a call back and being passed around from pillar to post. Debs was the only person to ever call me back but unfortunately there's only one of her. We left the property in a pristine condition and the landlord personally contacted us to thank us for this and confirm they'd requested release of the deposit. Despite countless emails and phone calls from both the landlord and myself, nearly 3 weeks after the end of the tenancy, we have still not received either the deposit or the overpaid rent, totaling over £2000. Not only is is this terrible customer service but this is also now breaking the law.... Read more
