Interestingly, we found ourselves getting more information from them—the seller's agent—than from the agency we actually paid to sell our own home. Their communication was far superior. I would highly recommend John German to anyone looking for a reliable, proactive and trustworthy estate agent.

As first-time buyers, we never expected the process to move so quickly or feel so smooth, but Richard made it happen. From start to finish, he was incredibly helpful, supportive and always on hand to answer our questions. He explained everything clearly, kept us informed every step of the way and made what could have been a stressful experience feel easy and exciting. Buying our first home together has been such an amazing experience, and that’s largely thanks to Richard’s guidance and expertise. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone — he truly made this possible for us.

Their eagerness to sell our property, attitude and communication were top notch - and a special mention to Bethany. Extremely happy with the service we’ve received.

From the initial valuation right through to finding and vetting tenants, Ben and Jayne were professional, responsive, and helpful every step of the way. They marketed the property effectively, arranged viewings promptly, and handled all the referencing and paperwork efficiently, making the whole process seamless and straightforward for me as a landlord. Although I only required a tenant find service only, Ben and Jayne have been on hand to support afterwards which has been so reassuring. I highly recommend Newton Fallowell for tenant finding, which was seamless and stress-free!

Whether you are buying a property through them, or they are finding a tenant for your property, they have always been easy to work with, good at communication and often going the extra step to insure everything goes smoothly.

18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

8th Feb 2026 (24 days ago)I was very pleased with the communication between Paul from the Cleckheaton Branch and myself, he talked me through everything and was available when I needed questions answered, I was updated at all times of prospective buyers of my property and of course helped to guide me through the sale which I was grateful for.

Initially told me all the windows and door keys were available but when it was time to hand over the keys he said they are lost. Overall not a good experience

Still waiting for repairs i reported in October, happy to contact me when they put my rent up but won't fix any problems, disgusting.<br><br>Attached other reviews to show how incompetent they are
