12th Mar 2024 (6 weeks ago)No communication. I needed to ring to get any updates one viewing in 6 months. Shop only open till lunchtime on a Saturday. Went 3 times to speak with them, on a Saturday and the shop was closed. Before lunchtime reduced price one week later went into the shop to tell them that the property was still full price in their window. paid nearly £900. For pictures and one media post on rightmove. So not good value for money.which I cant get anything back I needed to ask for my contract which they emailed to me after six months,to find out that no money would be given back not told this when I signed. Property does not sell its self need a good agent to push your property and tell you full details before you sign agreement.
12th Dec 2023 (19 weeks ago)I can't praise Hunters Estate Agents in Bishop Auckland highly enough. Adam, Ella and their team add a personal touch and great professionalism to the difficult and emotional process of selling your home. The whole team was very communicative, fair and pleasant to deal with all the way through the process, from valuing our property to after-sales service. We got to know them through our neighour's recomendation and we would only use them again and I can whole-heartedly recommend them to anyone with a property to sell.- 16th Feb 2024 (10 weeks ago)From the moment my property went on the market I never heard from Dowen again other than to tell me if I had a viewing. I might aswell have put the house up for sale myself. £1200 for what? Putting it on Rightmove? Photos were terrible, he said he would come back when it was sunny to take some more. Never heard from him... Appalling customer service, no call backs just nothing, no personal touch at all. Would never use again, there are plenty of better local estate agents out there who would take much better care of you for a lot less money.

9th Mar 2024 (7 weeks ago)Pleased with the service from Paul Copeland and his staff. Even phoning a vier on a Sunday and contacting me to confirm they were attending. They brought lots of viewers through the door. were the previous Estate Agent failed.
15th Mar 2024 (6 weeks ago)Cons : they only checked in after 12 weeks and once when we had a possible viewing. This felt quite poor over 26 weeks. I requested some replacement photos to use alongside a price drop to create some Interest. Advisor quite abrupt and unhappy at the request . Refused/strongly advised this was not necessary even though work had been done to improve the home since original photos taken . Communication was poor with very little contact over a 26 week period. Didn’t see home marketed via Facebook or email shots . Some of the Photos weren’t the best , make sure you really check them before you approve . Pros : Service was quick and effective at point of set up. Staff were otherwise polite and pleasant to deal with . Always returned calls when I rang . Board went up quickly and photographer was quick. Some of the photos were good. House did not sell or even have a viewing within 26 weeks which is unusual in a popular area.
10th Apr 2024 (16 days ago)Numerous Emails sent and one reply with no actual action taken by RISE Lettings about the rented property next door to me. Fence broken (5 years). Rubbish left by the previous tenant still litters the property and the smell of Cannabis smoke is pervading my house every week. One star for the one reply. Still waiting for the Property Manager to contact me after almost 3 months! Cannot even get through on the phone!! What a joke! (10 April 2024).

Whether it be over the telephone or in person nothing has been too much trouble. Charlotte was the main person we have been dealing with and we found her to be courteous, knowledgeable and professional at all times. 10th Mar 2024 (7 weeks ago)It's fantastic to see a local lad with the vision, ambition and determination to develop a thriving business. From our initial meeting with Ryan, it was clear he understood the housing marking inside out and it was a no-brainer to make the switch from our original agent. Despite the house taking longer to sell than either of us anticipated, Ryan and his team worked relentlessly to support us with bringing people through the door and provided regular insights and updates on the market and our own position within it. Though we didn't use it personally, the supported viewings were just one service that set Ryan James apart from their competitors - it was evident that the importance of customer service was paramount to both Ryan and his staff. That is where (I believe) Ryan has excelled, he has recruited a team with the same growth mindset and who understand his vision perfectly. Our initial interactions were with Ellie, who was an absolute joy to deal with. Whatever the conversation, every phone call with Ellie left me feeling like I'd received my daily dose of positivity. She is the epitome of perfect customer service, I wish her sunny nature and enthusiasm could be bottled for tough days! Further along in the process I had the pleasure of dealing with Gill, who had our best interests at heart at every turn. An excellent communicator and our voice of reason, she was a first-class negotiator who encouraged me to consider the questions others would have left unsaid. Stepping into the housing market ring, there is no-one I would rather have had in my corner, she is the ultimate warrior and deserves every ounce of my praise and respect for being the consummate professional, both in and out of hours! There is no doubt that Ryan James is a brand that is a serious contender in it's field and one that I am grateful to have had the pleasure to deal with. Although I have no desire to move again any time soon, I look forward to watching this company grow from strength to strength and wish them every success in doing so.

14th Dec 2023 (19 weeks ago)Elite Estate lettings took £250 from my son as a deposit on a flat - the referencing agency they used was flawed - my son lost the flat and Elite Estates (Janet) refused to give him his deposit back telling him that they had to pay it to rightmove referencing agency. This is a lie - and not returning his deposit is illegal:Beth McGuire (from Rightmove referencing) wrote: “We as Rightmove Landlord and Tenant services do not take any fees or deposits from applicants for the use of our services. Therefore we have no funds to refund your son in this instance, this is taken and held by the letting agent as the person managing the property for the landlord”. This is illegal: From the Saturday Times Money - Charges for viewings and reference checks: Charging for viewings, reference and credit checks have been illegal in England since the Tenant Fees Act 2019 and they are also banned in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Some letting agents are still getting this wrong, though. There are also multiple examples on social media of tenants being asked for “application” or “viewing” fees once they inquire about a property. Tsuman said: “An application fee will most likely be a prohibited payment. My advice is to not pay this and instead register with a reputable agent who will not charge you any fee to find your next home.” Anyone who has been asked to pay to view a rental property should report the listing and agent to their local Trading Standards team. If applicants believe that the listing is a scam they can report it to Action Fraud and contact the online platform hosting the advert, such as Facebook, to ask for it to be removed. This insinuates Elite letting agency, Durham is a disreputable letting agent. I want my son’s deposit returned immediately.

Communication is always relevant & timely. Their Support, guidance & knowledge of the process I found invaluable. If I ever needed to move house again then these are the first people I would call. I would highly recommend Moovd to everyone & anyone planning a move.
