They did a fantastic job selling my house and made the whole process smooth and stress-free from start to finish.<br><br>I would especially like to thank Diane Kerr, who was always there to deal with everything and kept me informed throughout the whole process. Sarah visited us pre sale & explained the proposed timeline of events & all the associated costs from Home report, selling, marketing & conveyance. We were advised how to present the property for marketing purposes & all appointments were as per the arrangements made. Our house sold very quickly in no small part down to the excellent promotional material produced by Sarah with the help of her large presence on Social media. In summary we were delighted with the service we received from Sarah at Property Connections & would recommend her services to others in a heartbeat.

3rd Nov 2023 (2 years ago)(While the company did finally provide compensation, it's important to note that I still experienced a significant opportunity cost as a result of their actions.) It has undeniably been the most regrettable experience of my lifetime, dealing with a solicitor team that exhibited a severe lack of professionalism and courtesy. Initially, I placed my trust in them based on their positive Google reviews, which now appear to be misleading and have led to significant frustration and inconvenience on my part. The solicitor in question was Shari, who astonishingly took a full year to complete the anti-money laundering check, despite my having submitted all required documents promptly. To compound matters, she repeatedly requested the same information, leading to redundant submissions. Regrettably, she ceased all communication, failing to respond to both my emails and those from the seller's side. My attempts to reach her went unanswered for two months until she seemingly disappeared without a trace. I was dismayed to find myself in such a predicament. In desperation, I enlisted the assistance of the estate agent, who contacted Joni, the National Head of Conveyancing. However, this interaction proved to be equally disheartening, as Joni not only displayed a lack of professionalism but also declined to provide any insight into the unilateral breach of contract, responding in a profane manner. I strongly advise against engaging with this company. As a result of their inefficiency, my funds remained in limbo within my bank account, as I had initially believed they could promptly resolve their business matters. Consequently, I have incurred substantial financial losses due to the failure of Simpson & Marwick to deliver on their commitments.

They booked a viewing for us and we travelled all the way from Edinburgh to Falkirk, only to be told the property had already been sold. No one informed us beforehand. When we called, they casually claimed they had “left a voicemail” — which is impossible because I don’t even have voicemail enabled. Completely dishonest and unacceptable behaviour.

As I don't live in the area, I rely heavily on their ability to resolve any issues that arise, and I've been very pleased with how they have done so.
6th Aug 2026 (6 weeks ago)Unfortunately, our experience with Housespotters Estate Agents was very disappointing, mainly because of poor communication and a lack of professionalism throughout the process.<br>Before our house was put on the market, Amanda was very confident that she could achieve a certain price for our property. However, our first concern was when the photos were taken using a phone rather than professional camera equipment. Although phone cameras are good these days, the photos did not have the quality we expected for selling a property. When the advert went live, there were too many photos, and some did not show the house in the best way.<br><br>The biggest problem for us was communication. After the first week, it became difficult to get updates. There were very few viewings, and things did not improve while we were with them. Calls often went unanswered, and promised call-backs rarely happened. We often felt like we were chasing them for information rather than being kept updated.<br><br>After around three weeks of frustration, we decided to end our agreement with them. What disappointed us most was that there was no real effort to understand why we wanted to leave. We were simply asked to pay the marketing fee so the property could be taken off the market. Once we paid, the only reply we received was confirmation of payment and a short “good luck” message.<br>After this, I noticed I had been blocked on WhatsApp and social media. I also emailed about removing the “For Sale” sign but received no reply or confirmation that this had been arranged.<br><br>Overall, our experience with Housespotters Estate Agents was very poor. Based on what we experienced, I would not recommend them to others. The level of communication, professionalism and customer service was not what we expected when selling our home.

They were extremely responsive when we asked questions and happy to explain any questions we may have. We also used them for our Will and we had the same, pleasure experience. Highly recommended.

They were always at the end of the phone and they continuously kept my partner and I in the loop, providing the necessary advice as required. The human interaction was very much appreciated in this digital age. It has been truly refreshing to deal with true professionals who provide the service promised. I would highly recommend this company, especially with fair, transparent pricing.

31st Aug 2026 (14 days ago)Unfortunately, found this company not transparent in approach. Property advertised with home report late Fri 28th Aug. Conducted external viewing Sat and placed verbal offer on Saturday at 10am stating it will be followed by solictor on Monday voicemail left. They were shut Saturday and Sunday. This morning solictor phoned in informing of formal offer conduct, to be told that offer was formally accepted yesterday... Sunday??? when it was shut.... Hate dishonest estate agents but at same time its even worse when they represent legal matters too. Lack of professional approach. They meant to get the owner best price and will be reviewing all and issuing to regulators. Its wrong. Once will get details of Seller re-confirmed will be in touch to them to verify this offer.

Nothing is ever a hassle, and they consistently go above and beyond to help.<br><br>A huge shout-out to Gav, who has been there for us on numerous occasions. His knowledge, experience and willingness to go the extra mile have made such a difference every single time. Nothing is ever too much hassle, and we know we can pick up the phone and he’ll always do everything he can to help. We genuinely don’t know where we’d be without him!<br><br>Another shout-out to Lindsay, who has helped us with our life cover, insurances and our Will. 7th Sep 2026 (7 days ago)We were hoping for a quick sale but to not compromise on the value of the property in doing so.<br>REMAX and Carol in particular did not let us down. Everything was explained clearly from the start. Great advice was given in preparing the house for the market. Then Carol took on the viewings too, so we could head out and relax knowing it was in safe hands.<br>The property sold at a very fair price both for us as the vendors and for the couple and small family who will take up residence soon.<br>It was important for us that the home got a continued love and investment. After all we’d been in there for almost 20 years!<br>A fantastic experience working with REMAX Linlithgow and highly recommend them for both buying and selling your property.
