He was always available, responded quickly to every query, and made sure we never felt left in the dark at any stage. He arranged the viewing without any delay and was extremely supportive in helping navigate the process of putting forward a successful offer. His knowledge, communication, and dedication made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend Nari to anyone looking for a reliable and genuinely helpful agent. 22nd May 2026 (22 days ago)Extremely disappointing experience with Slater Hogg & Howison Falkirk. My pregnant girlfriend and I viewed a rental property with them while preparing to start our family together. The property was lovely and the letting agent initially seemed very helpful and professional. We were told our application had been successful and that the next step was to pay £300 upfront towards the deposit to secure the property, with keys due to be collected the following Wednesday. Two days later, I received a call informing me that the landlord was no longer proceeding because Slater Hogg would not offer them a rent insurance product due to us being a young couple with limited credit history. Despite having stable circumstances, this apparently made us “too risky.” Naturally, we were devastated. We had already told family members, started purchasing furniture and white goods, and spent money preparing for the move only to have it pulled away at the last minute. To make matters worse, we were told the £300 refund would be processed shortly, yet days later we were still waiting. This directly impacted our ability to secure another property we had found. I even offered alternatives, including paying 3–5 months’ rent upfront and providing an extremely reliable guarantor, but was simply told “no.” I’m not even convinced these options were properly presented to the landlord. The whole experience felt incredibly unfair, dismissive, and profit-driven. As someone who works within the property investment industry myself, I find this level of service and treatment completely unacceptable. I would not trust this company to manage investments or handle tenants fairly.

She was easy to contact and kept in touch throughout the process. We had lots of viewings and Katie looked after that brilliantly. The whole team were wonderful.
24th Oct 2025 (7 mo. ago)I have dealt with this solicitor and property agents since 1985. They are the most professional, thorough and efficient company that i have ever had dealings with in my whole life. I have bought and sold 7 properties for myself, 1 property for my mother and 1 property for my son. The property front office run by Carolyn McLaughlin and her colleagues always marketed my properties extremely well which in turn led to most of them being sold in under a month. In relation to my solicitor Mr David Vause, he is the ultimate professional in his field. David was always able to resolve any issues quickly and move transactions forward . I was able to converse with him over the phone or by email when i needed to. On the 22nd of October i popped in to the office to pick up deeds wills and other business letters to pass on to a new solicitor in Ellon. Envelope with these documents were left at reception for me to pick up and sign for. However David came down and we had a long chat about our interactions over last 40 years. What an absolute gentleman and ultimate professional.
3rd Nov 2023 (2 years ago)(While the company did finally provide compensation, it's important to note that I still experienced a significant opportunity cost as a result of their actions.) It has undeniably been the most regrettable experience of my lifetime, dealing with a solicitor team that exhibited a severe lack of professionalism and courtesy. Initially, I placed my trust in them based on their positive Google reviews, which now appear to be misleading and have led to significant frustration and inconvenience on my part. The solicitor in question was Shari, who astonishingly took a full year to complete the anti-money laundering check, despite my having submitted all required documents promptly. To compound matters, she repeatedly requested the same information, leading to redundant submissions. Regrettably, she ceased all communication, failing to respond to both my emails and those from the seller's side. My attempts to reach her went unanswered for two months until she seemingly disappeared without a trace. I was dismayed to find myself in such a predicament. In desperation, I enlisted the assistance of the estate agent, who contacted Joni, the National Head of Conveyancing. However, this interaction proved to be equally disheartening, as Joni not only displayed a lack of professionalism but also declined to provide any insight into the unilateral breach of contract, responding in a profane manner. I strongly advise against engaging with this company. As a result of their inefficiency, my funds remained in limbo within my bank account, as I had initially believed they could promptly resolve their business matters. Consequently, I have incurred substantial financial losses due to the failure of Simpson & Marwick to deliver on their commitments.
24th Mar 2026 (12 weeks ago)Buyers and Sellers - Avoid! Based on my recent experiences as a prospective buyer, I would strongly advise both buyers and especially sellers to avoid using Clyde Properties. I attempted to arrange viewings with them on two separate occasions, and both interactions were consistently disappointing. Despite advertising “appointment only” viewings, they offered only open viewings. At the first property, it was clear that many attendees believed they had private appointments. The agent on site took no interest in the viewing, offered no information about the property, and repeatedly responded with “refer to the home report” to even basic questions. They appeared unfamiliar with the property and disengaged throughout. A second attempt to view another property was just as frustrating. Although the listing went live early in the week, the only viewings offered were during working hours on Friday and Monday. Despite requesting an alternative time well before the closing date, they made no effort to arrange one. Having sold a home through a different agency, the contrast in service quality was stark. Clyde Properties showed little willingness to work with buyers, and based on many other reviews I have since read, this seems to be a common complaint. For sellers, this lack of engagement is particularly concerning; an agency uninterested in supporting buyers will inevitably impact interest and offers. With so many other agencies offering far better service, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Personally, I will avoid properties listed with Clyde in the future, and it appears many others feel the same.
29th May 2026 (15 days ago)I have been using Northwood's landlord services for 13 years and have always found them very responsive and diligent in managing the properties. As I don't live in the area, I rely heavily on their ability to resolve any issues that arise, and I've been very pleased with how they have done so.
8th Oct 2025 (8 mo. ago)Horrible company since after covid. Used to be so polite and understanding and willing to meet tenants half way. Now they just want profits and are all for the landlords. Emails are sent in a patronising and rude tone. It used to be if there was an issue it was sorted asap but now everything takes forever. Thankfully I won't have to as I bought a property but I'd never rent through them again and I'd never recommend them.

Jayne gives informed and realistic advice, taking excellent photos/videos for listing. Fiona is consistently diligent and went above and beyond to ensure we could get our keys on time. We regularly recommend them and would never consider going anywhere else.

All staff were so helpful and ensured I secured plenty viewings and a good price on property. Their prices are reasonable and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone buying/selling property. A really good experience overall

The house was sold in 5 days for the valuation price which was fantastic. He was able to tell me a bit about the family buying the house and it was so comforting for myself and my sister to know it was going to a family who immediately fell in love with the house and were so excited to bring their family up there as mum and dad had done with us. I would highly recommend Kenny and the company to anyone. Thank you so much

There were a few issues along the way and it was a particularly long process with buying and selling (through absolutely no fault of Gavin or Arrowhead ), and Gavin kept us up to date and advised throughout and was particularly helpful getting things over the line as our deadline approached. Would highly recommend using Gavin and his team and would use them ourselves if we’re ever brave enough to move again. Thanks to all.

The buyer was found and an initial deal was concluded within the first few days so their network targeted the right people.
