6th Apr 2024 (14 days ago)Our experience with Mov8 was easy they kept us informed with viewing and communication was prompt. The only thing was their offices are in Edinburgh and Glasgow and we are in Carnoustie which was a little inconvenient if we needed to go to their office to sign things

16th Feb 2022 (2 years ago)Worst company imaginable. Gave us misinformation for over six months regarding entry dates and also told us development was finished when it was not. Double check everything you are told by them. They misled us and we ended up over £18000 out of pocket. Avoid this company at all cost. They don’t admit liability for anything they do.

5th Apr 2024 (15 days ago)Extremely poor communication, from a very rude and abrasive admin working in Linlithgow I believe. We phoned to put an offer on a bungalow in Livingston, to be told you can't, you need to do it through solicitor. I took advice phoned them back and said I've been told I can put verbal offer, woman huffed and said it's not how we do it, so you want me to put the offer to the vendor??? I said yes please, she huffed again! Our solicitor then phoned 10mins later to put formal offer in, to be told vendors on holiday so need to get hold of them! Next day the bungalow in Dovecote Place had UNDER OFFER ... We had NOT even been told, when my Solicitor phoned told it's under offer to someone else, the rude woman refused to give any other details, failed to follow legal rules about informing of other offers, and didnt return my call after!! Our first viewing we didn't even get a follow up call to see if we like it, their clearly taking a lot of money from people who've lost relatives as this was also part of an estate following a death. I've emailed to make a formal complaint, I'd be surprised if the vendor was even told of our offer, this company do nothing to earn the extortionate fees they charge, I'd never recommend them to anyone!!!

9th Jun 2019 (4 years ago)Do not trust this company. We dealt with the previous iteration of the owners company and are now being left to clean up their mess. We should have gotten rid of them sooner.... leaving this review in the hope that other landlords won’t have to deal with the loss of over £2000 in rental payments plus the stress of figuring out what to do with our tenant now... even with the loss of rent I still may have left a good review if Amanda and Craig has worked with us to help figure things out (or even provide the tenants details) but the only response to any communication that we have is to essentially gloat that their old company doesn’t exist and there is no recourse for us. Pretty poor behaviour for a human being never mind a business owner.

9th Apr 2024 (11 days ago)Absolutely would NOT recommend to anyone. Poor service. Impolite staff. Scraping the bottom of the barrel to take your deposit, after being forced to leave after only 7 month tenancy due to the poor condition of the property overall, from weeks without heating and cooker/ oven, to damp and mould issues causing illness to name only a few. You have to chase everything as promises to call you back don’t happen, they don’t want to deal with it and can’t get you off the phone quick enough when there’s issues. I could honestly go on and on about all the service failings throughout. Felt forced to accept a ridiculous deposit reduction as I could not deal with the stress they had caused any longer throughout and after the tenancy. Would NEVER trust to rent a property through them again personally. *EDIT To your response, you’re very good at passing blame to the landlord, you failed to accept responsibility for your service shortcomings, failed to acknowledge the poor condition of the property i had to live in, or rude staff encounters. I tend to only leave positive reviews, this has nothing to do with "a kick on the way out". Northwood Falkirk has been far from a delight to deal with, thats all.

Throughout both they have been professional, efficient and a pleasure to deal with. Shout outs for Eileen Henderson and Sinead Duffy who have been excellent throughout the process. I would highly recommend Neilsons as a firm.
18th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

We only had a month before entry date on our property and Laura was extremely efficient and got all the paperwork done with minimal hassle. This is our second time using Laura/Monarch Legal and will definitely work with them again in the future. Happy and in our new home, Thanks guys!
