Everything is organised though an online portal which makes this process easy as ever. All the staff were amazing throughout this process from the estate agents and photographer that came out.

The service was outstanding . Thank you to all of the team for their input .
5th Aug 2026 (6 weeks ago)I have no hesitation in recommending McDougall McQueen if you are looking to sell your home.<br><br>My initial contact was with Sylvia at McDougall McQueen who managed the all the processes involved in marketing, viewings and finding the right buyer.<br><br>Conveyancing was handled by Bobby Fife with my sale completed within 7 weeks!<br><br>I have been very impressed by their knowledge and professionalism, and really appreciated their advice and efficiency.<br><br>Communication was fantastic throughout. A speedy response to any queries I had, and frequent updates to what was going on.<br><br>Would absolutely look to Sylvia and McDougall McQueen if I was looking to buy or sell in the future.
11th Jul 2026 (10 weeks ago)We had scheduled a viewing appointment for a property in Auchterarder, the agent called us on a No Caller Id number to say they would be late. We adjusted our schedule to accommodate. When we arrived at the property at the then agreed time and the agent was nowhere to be seen. We couldn’t call their number back and the office number went straight to voice mail. After waiting for 15 minutes they called us back and said they were at a different property, and misunderstood the visit we had agreed to visit and they did not have the keys. Pretty disappointing organisation given that they knew we were leaving the next morning. Make sure you double check all the details yourself if you’re going to work with this company.
20th Jun 2025 (1 year ago)I have now worked with Strutt and Parker twice, first when purchasing my home last year and more recently when selling a family property. On both occasions, the team was exceptionally personable, supportive and attentive. They consistently went above and beyond, never making anything feel like too much trouble. Selling the family home was particularly emotional and throughout the process, the team demonstrated genuine kindness and understanding, which made an otherwise difficult experience much more manageable. Every member of the team played a part in the sale. It felt like working with an extension of the family as they all knew who I was and were able to assist promptly and effectively. I wholeheartedly recommend Strutt and Parker to anyone seeking an efficient, effective, supportive and compassionate estate agent in Edinburgh.
6th Feb 2023 (3 years ago)If it was possible, I'd have given Abbey Forth zero stars. Here's my experience with them: The place I rented from Abbey Forth had not been cleaned when I moved in. It was in a disgusting state with several broken fixtures. I took many photos and informed them that, because I was having to clean my new flat, I wouldn't be paying for the place to be professionally cleaned when I moved out. Throughout my year at the property, they were unprofessional and unhelpful when other problems arose: trying to charge me for boiler repairs (a boiler which was leaking on day 1), failing to resolve a drainage issue outside the kitchen door and, worst of all, falling to resolve an infestation of slugs in the kitchen - an obvious health hazard. When I moved out, they unsurprisingly tried to deduct £190 from my deposit for cleaning. I successfully disputed this charge with the deposit scheme, using the pictures and emails I'd sent them over the length of the tenancy. The deposit scheme found that, as the property was not cleaned to a good condition for the start of the tenancy, that I should only having to pay £60 In summary: Abbey Forth is the worst estate agent I've ever used. Rude staff and a general ethos of trying to squeeze money out of tenants for as little effort as possible. Only sign up with them if you are desperate and have no other options. If this is the case, then please make sure you document everything for inevitable struggle to get your deposit back
24th Aug 2026 (24 days ago)I used Malcolm Jack & Matheson's services to assist with purchasing my first home, receiving support from their property solicitor Lynsey Pender. Lynsey was a great help throughout the process which as a first-time-buyer could be quite daunting. I received regular updates and information at each stage of the process and Lynsey was very prompt in answering any queries I had and supporting me when needed. I would highly recommend MJ & M's services and wouldn't hesitate to use them again in future.

6th Aug 2026 (6 weeks ago)Unfortunately, our experience with Housespotters Estate Agents was very disappointing, mainly because of poor communication and a lack of professionalism throughout the process.<br>Before our house was put on the market, Amanda was very confident that she could achieve a certain price for our property. However, our first concern was when the photos were taken using a phone rather than professional camera equipment. Although phone cameras are good these days, the photos did not have the quality we expected for selling a property. When the advert went live, there were too many photos, and some did not show the house in the best way.<br><br>The biggest problem for us was communication. After the first week, it became difficult to get updates. There were very few viewings, and things did not improve while we were with them. Calls often went unanswered, and promised call-backs rarely happened. We often felt like we were chasing them for information rather than being kept updated.<br><br>After around three weeks of frustration, we decided to end our agreement with them. What disappointed us most was that there was no real effort to understand why we wanted to leave. We were simply asked to pay the marketing fee so the property could be taken off the market. Once we paid, the only reply we received was confirmation of payment and a short “good luck” message.<br>After this, I noticed I had been blocked on WhatsApp and social media. I also emailed about removing the “For Sale” sign but received no reply or confirmation that this had been arranged.<br><br>Overall, our experience with Housespotters Estate Agents was very poor. Based on what we experienced, I would not recommend them to others. The level of communication, professionalism and customer service was not what we expected when selling our home.

During the offer stage the person who was handling our case was quite slow in responding, requests had to be chased up a lot, and left me out of emails (and only addressed them to my male partner) which was quite annoying, but once Caron took over it was really great, excellent and quick communication. Five stars for Caron.

31st Aug 2026 (17 days ago)Unfortunately, found this company not transparent in approach. Property advertised with home report late Fri 28th Aug. Conducted external viewing Sat and placed verbal offer on Saturday at 10am stating it will be followed by solictor on Monday voicemail left. They were shut Saturday and Sunday. This morning solictor phoned in informing of formal offer conduct, to be told that offer was formally accepted yesterday... Sunday??? when it was shut.... Hate dishonest estate agents but at same time its even worse when they represent legal matters too. Lack of professional approach. They meant to get the owner best price and will be reviewing all and issuing to regulators. Its wrong. Once will get details of Seller re-confirmed will be in touch to them to verify this offer.
