Already booked the day off so fuming at the complete dis regard of this outfit. Completely unprofessional and extremely arrogant in my opinion!!!! Lesson learned!!!

29th Jun 2026 (18 weeks ago)I contacted David Hill to enquire about a quotation for a survey and to understand what his service included. Throughout our correspondence, I repeatedly asked a straightforward question about the cost of the survey. Rather than receiving a clear quotation, I was sent several very long emails that were difficult to follow and often did not answer my question directly.<br><br>Much of the correspondence focused on qualifications, court experience and a copy of his CV, rather than providing a direct answer to my request for a quotation.<br><br>As a prospective client, I made it clear that there was no urgency and that he could take whatever time he needed to prepare a quote. I also provided the information requested about the property. Despite this, the conversation became increasingly confrontational.<br><br>I was particularly disappointed by comments such as telling me to "educate yourself", suggesting that I was wasting his time, and eventually asking me never to contact him again. I found this surprising and unprofessional, especially as I was simply carrying out due diligence before committing to a significant purchase.<br><br>I cannot comment on the quality of his surveying work because I did not instruct him. However, based on my experience, I found the communication to be dismissive, unnecessarily confrontational, and lacking the professionalism I would expect when making an initial enquiry.
23rd Nov 2024 (1 year ago)Verity Frearson are the largest estate agent in Harrogate, and in my opinion are handling too many properties simultaneously. As a result they aren't able to give each property the desired attention and exposure. They are also so busy they are very rarely available to take your call and often don't get back to you.

20th Oct 2026 (13 days ago)Having rented a property managed by Nicholls Tyreman, I can confidently say that our experience with this company has been absolutely appalling.<br>Throughout our tenancy, we experienced repeated maintenance problems, including issues with shutters and blinds, hot water, a fly infestation and the upkeep of the grounds. Getting matters addressed was often a frustrating process involving repeated chasing.<br>Despite these issues, when it came to renewing our tenancy, we were faced with demands for a substantial rent increase and ultimately a Section 21 notice when we could not agree terms.<br>However, the worst part of our experience came when we vacated the property.<br>Having paid a significant deposit, Nicholls Tyreman sought to deduct an astonishing sum for redecoration, woodwork and for flooring.<br>It is remarkable how maintenance issues can be so difficult to resolve during a tenancy, yet when a tenant leaves, thousands of pounds of alleged remedial work suddenly becomes necessary.<br>The entire experience has left us with the impression that the interests of tenants come a very distant second.<br>I would strongly encourage anyone considering renting through Nicholls Tyreman to document absolutely everything, retain every email, photograph the property's condition and be extremely cautious when it comes to their deposit.<br>We have rented properties before and have never experienced anything quite like this.<br>In my opinion, the professionalism, fairness and standard of customer service have been completely unacceptable.<br>I would never use Nicholls Tyreman again and would strongly advise prospective tenants to consider other agents.<br>One star is one too many.

Each member of the team went over and above to ensure my purchase was seamless, and kept me informed at every stage. They were professional, courteous and made my first house purchase memorable for all the right reasons. Can't thank them enough!

Simon went to great lengths to ensure all parties in our sale were up to date on the conveyancing process and when we have viewed properties with him in the past he has always been very knowledgeable, informative, polite and on time. He is, dare I say it, a rare find in a property sales professional in the way he knows his geographical area inside out and his respect and manner are refreshing. I don't know of any other estate agents in the Headingley or North Leeds area who are as professional. Highly recommended.
20th Oct 2026 (13 days ago)Professional<br>I recently purchased a property through carter jonas and dealt primarily with Tony write, from the initial first conversation Tony was extremely helpful dealing with a property that wasn’t always completely straightforward but he was so professional and knowledgeable about the property and the issues regarding the purchase.<br>Tony was on hand throughout the process supporting us with solicitor questions and keeping us updated throughout, which made such a difference to us as buyers.<br>Thank you Tony you did a fantastic job.

From the first time we met her, she was so friendly, approachable and helpful, and she made the whole process feel much less daunting.<br><br>Debbie was always happy to answer our questions, keep us updated and help whenever we needed it. She really went out of her way to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible, and we always felt that she genuinely cared about helping us find and secure our new home.<br><br>We’re now happily settled in and absolutely love our new house. ????????<br><br>A huge thank you to Debbie for all her hard work, patience and kindness throughout the process. She kept in touch regularly, was very friendly and really added a personal touch to the experience. We would absolutely buy a house again through Annabel and would recommend her to anyone
22nd Oct 2026 (11 days ago)For clarity, our experience was with Enfields Luxe in 2025, before the business transferred from Enfields Leeds Ltd to Enfields North Ltd. The business has since continued under the same name and management.<br><br>We paid Enfields premium fees for a service we largely ended up managing ourselves.<br><br>Only after signing were we told they didn’t conduct evening viewings, with very limited weekend availability. Consequently, we conducted the majority of viewings ourselves.<br><br>Communication and sales progression were consistently poor. Even our buyer resorted to contacting us directly for updates.<br><br>Enfields initially rejected our formal complaint. Following nearly 11 months with The Property Ombudsman, whose adjudicator indicated our complaints regarding viewings and communication were likely to be upheld, Enfields North agreed to a £350 settlement.<br><br>They subsequently described this as a “gesture of goodwill”.<br><br>I would not recommend Enfields.

21st Oct 2026 (12 days ago)Shankland Barraclough recently handled the sale of our property in Burley in Wharfedale. Pricing was competitive and the service was fantastic. Right from the start the team were friendly, honest and knowledgeable having a really good grasp on the local market. Every time we called for information or advice they were quick to respond. Once we had a buyer the sale itself was difficult at times. But Shankland Barraclough were empathetic and really supportive guiding the process and the support from the whole team was excellent. In particular though, Jeremy and Harpinder were our sale process rocks.
