8th Aug 2018 (7 years ago)Contacted them 3 times and on each occasion was promised a call back. After 3 attempts I have still not heard back from them, clearly this is a company that does not value customer service!!

5th Mar 2026 (9 weeks ago)Having decided to relocate to Northumberland, we approached Duncan Young to be our sales agent and pleased we did. From our first meeting, Duncan provided honest comment and we felt he had our interests clear; at every stage Duncan kept us informed. Beccy brings both empathy and tenacity to the team, ensuring that events post-offer are progressed though to completion; she’s been a star! Moving house, we have learned, is not straightforward but Young Residential provided an excellent service and we would be happy to recommend Duncan and Beccy to anyone thinking of selling their home. We are enjoying our new surroundings and thank Duncan for supporting us to make the move.
3rd Apr 2026 (4 weeks ago)A friendly person, very knowledgeable but promised us our asking price, said he wouldn’t move from the asking price & that was house is worth it all day long. First offer that came in was 5k lower than the asking price & he said the buyers will not budge. I had a strong feeling that the asking price wasn’t pushed enough. This resulted in me having to borrow 5k to cover my costs due to this short fall. Agent also sided with the buyer when it came to paying their solicitor a fee to exchange/complete on the same day & thought that it wasn’t fair. Im paying you a substantial amount to sell my property, the buyer isn’t paying you. What their solicitor decides cost wise, is between them, not us. I found these things leaving a very sour taste for me.

The stress of selling and purchasing a home was made very simple in the capable and professional hands of Vanessa Newman. Amanda kept us in the loop throughout the entire process and made the final hurdle a smooth and stress free transition. A handy app gives you updates of progress throughout your case. Recommended to me by a family member, I wouldn't go with anyone else. Very competitive and fair prices; a brilliant overall service. I would recommend Vanessa Newman to everyone.
