17th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.

I have to say over the course of the year we had a very supportive agency especially Angela who always supported us whenever we had any queries. Highly recommended if you are looking to rent in the area.

It was much appreciated.<br>Thanks too to Julie for her liaison with the online solicitors and for keeping me up to date promptly. To Joe as well for advice on various aspects and also to other members of the team.<br>You were all so friendly and I would definitely recommend the branch.

They were always friendly, approachable and professional, keeping us updated throughout the process and making what can often be a stressful experience feel so much easier. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they were always happy to answer our questions, chase information and provide reassurance whenever we needed it.<br><br>Their communication, dedication and genuine care really stood out, and it was clear they were invested in helping us get into our new home. Their communication was clear, their professionalism was consistent, and they were always quick to respond whenever I needed anything. It’s rare to find an estate agency team that feels genuinely supportive, but Leaders delivered exactly that. I felt well looked after from start to finish, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, friendly, and efficient service.

The first viewing date and time was stuck to. They answered my questions regarding the property and AST terms promptly.<br>If I was in need of an estate agent again service, I would prefer to rent / sell / buy through Henry Adams.

They came highly recommended by several local people, all of whom described them as the best estate agents in the area, and our experience certainly lived up to that reputation.<br>Our property was far from a straightforward sale. As a Grade II listed building requiring extensive renovation, it appealed to a smaller pool of buyers, and the process ultimately took just over a year. Throughout that time, the team at Stride & Sons remained patient and professional.<br>Their advice was always thoughtful and clearly focused on achieving the best outcome for us, rather than simply pushing for a quick sale. We always felt they were acting in our best interests, providing honest guidance and realistic expectations at every stage of the process.<br>We are extremely grateful for their support and would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking to sell their home.<br><br>Edit: it was notable that their contract was a straightforward and simple two-page document (this was in stark contrast to one other particular estate agent we considered whose contract contained a jaw-dropping number of unfair clauses that you are guided to avoid).- 7th Aug 2026 (6 days ago)Julia in lettings was brilliant from beginning to end. They were instantly in the role of experienced - even wise - old friends. The result? An instant flurry of keen potential buyers and success, after 3 visits, in an agreed sale, completing on 26/6/26, well in excess of the asking price IN JUST 8 DAYS! Despite there being challenges with Sage homes where it was a shared ownership sale, I found their team to be very helpful and professional. Isabella and Braden did an excellent job marketing the property and Keira Harrison was supportive and proactive throughout the sale. Her communication was excellent in helping the sale to complete smoothly.
