5th Nov 2022 (3 years ago)My wife and I had the pleasure of engaging Sam Tomlinson as our selling agent for our property in Maidenhead, Berkshire, United Kingdom. Before we engaged Sam, we had sought out many other realtors in the area - even some of the big national brands. Unfortunately, the majority of them were unprofessional & tardy and there were some even to point of non responsiveness and or over commitments that simply were not attainable. From the time we first engaged Sam right until to the point when we closed the sale of the house, Sam exemplified expertise and professionalism to the core. The entire selling process went so smoothly despite Sam being in Maidenhead in the UK, and my wife and I were between California and Dubai. All our meetings were professional and highly productive albeit they being virtual. Sam was extremely courteous, highly responsive and very knowledgeable and advised us every step of the way. Despite Sam having to be away for a week, all matters pertaining to the sale was handled by another colleague without any disruption to the selling process. Sam’s professional advise on the indicative selling price, to his recommendations for re painting our house to fixing the electrical fixtures all led to a quick sale of our property at our expected selling price. We sold the house within less than a month of open viewings and closed the transaction within 2 months. The amazing this was this was all accomplished in an era where house prices were dropping and interest rates skyrocketing. Therefore it gives me great pleasure in recommending Sam Tomlinson and the good folks at Braxton for any real estate services in Maidenhead. Braxtons and Sam has my utmost confidence!
16th Jul 2026 (15 weeks ago)I received the most appalling treatment by the man who was answering my calls to try and arrange a viewing one of this agency's rental properties.<br>For over the course of more than a week, I had to chase them repeatedly because I wasn't receiving any updates. One member of staff had previously told me the delay was because they were unable to reach the current tenant. However, when this man answered my calls, I was given a completely different explanation.<br><br>The most concerning part was the way I was spoken to. I had previously asked a simple question to ask about what the neighbours were like, which is a perfectly reasonable question when considering where to live. Instead of answering professionally or simply saying they couldn't comment, he sighed, even raised his voice, and told me it's an 'unusual request'. He also repeatedly mentioned a 'difficult neighbour' in the building, despite the fact this had nothing to do with the viewing as he was not living adjacent to the flat I was enquiring about, it was also unrelated to the questions I was asking.<br><br>Throughout the conversation I was made to feel like I was inconveniencing him to simply arrange a viewing. Other agencies have been professional and tried to help me, instead I received total disrespect and was shouted at over the phone. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour and 0 respect towards customers. It's no wonder there are so many 1 star reviews saying how rude they are. Avoid.

They negotiated brilliantly and achieved a price above what we expected and what other agents had suggested. Communication was excellent from start to finish and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking to sell!

Everyone was kept informed so it didn’t matter when I rang the office, they all knew what was happening with the property. They were great with viewings and were always on time for the people viewing my house and provided great feedback from the viewings. Thank you all so much for your help with the sale of my home

Charlie was always responsive and helped facilitate a sale pulling together all parties, and pushed to keep as close to our deadline as possible.

We had to constantly chase on outcomes of the few viewings we had which isn’t good business. I also found your telephone system to be nothing short of useless. When we called you we were always greeted with please hold as we are busy ! Then the system would shut off and you would have to call back again ! I can see why small independent people ( social Media experts ) who are hungry for business are winning against the high street outlets

13th Oct 2026 (19 days ago)We put the house on the market in May 2026, after speaking to Philip Booth (and other estate agents) for over one year. He totally understood that getting ready for an international move is not a quick thing. The asking price was set realistically together and we got full asking price, within one week of putting it on the market and we only had one couple viewing. Quite a whirlwind and a great result. Margaret was our main contact from Philip Booth Esq and communication was quick, accurate when needed. What has stood out since we moved in September has been when the Post Office failed to redirect post etc (which was ordered and paid for and was suppose to start the week before we moved) the PB team and Margaret has helped beyond their remit with picking up post from the buyers, communicated about it and made sure we’ve received it. We are so grateful for everything. Selling a house and moving is never easy, physically or emotionally. So pleased we had and chose the right team supporting us on this journey. Thankyou.

18th Aug 2026 (11 weeks ago)We had to leave the UK and move to Australia due to family reasons, and were very apprehensive about renting out our very loved home. I wanted to find an agency that cared not only for its landlords but also its tenants, and through word of mouth, we were recommended Northwood. They managed our property completely under the rent guaranteed system which was a big weight off our shoulders knowing it was all completely taken care of, and they were proactive with maintenance requirements which was really important to us.<br><br>When it came time to sell, they were proactive and communicative. The house was on the market for a while but this was due to it being tenanted and off season so no fault of Northwoods and just the way the market worked! Eventually we found the perfect buyer and the sale process went smoothly. I'm almost sad to say goodbye to the folk at Northwood - thanks team especially Mark, Richard and Juliette! Best wishes for everything in the future!

Always available, always charming, always diligent in following up the slightest lead. He has already achieved a sale with one and I am sure will soon do so with the second.Very happy to have been introduced to him.
29th Oct 2025 (1 year ago)they lied and charged us for all the marketing material then never used it. we got ZERO enquirers or viewings for over 4 months- then found the online information was WRONG. stating the home is a decade older (i bought it NEW) and worth over £1 million LESS. they refuted to change it, then after we terminated the contract they refuse to rerun the photos we paid for. we spent thousands of pounds and hundreds of hours prepping the house for photos, and paid over £2,000 in total for them.
